Accent Window & Door

Horrible!! The window was installed 7/17/2017. The window was not made correctly and the installation was a sloppy mess!! The caulk was extremely bad (sloppy inside and out) and there was a mess on my cement and inside of my home. The molding inside my home was natural wood instead of being white. Accent still has been unable to provide me a corrected window as of 2/23/2018!! They did nothing to rectify their sloppy installation either! Customer service has been very unprofessional! They don’t call me to keep me updated and I have called them many times since July 2017! On 2/19/2018 I requested a refund so I could move on from this disaster. The owner said he would call me back that day or the next, and once again, I am not surprised to say, I did not get a call back!! I highly advise you to stay away from this company! I am so disappointed! Their price was the lowest bid I got and apparently this is a reflection of their short cuts and bad job they performed.

For The ESTIMATE Only Visit: The sales person arrived on time for the morning appointment. He then wanted to check the rollers on the sliding glass doorwall. (Now I remind you, I contacted a company for this service, because I did not want to be lifting and handling this sliding door.) I then had to assist the sales person lift up and lean out & down the sliding door on the Florida room floor. The customer should not have to perform this task, this is why I contacted Accent Window & Door - so they can perform. (Now my back is out because of the customer had to perform this.) The sales person then proceeded to "attempt" to remove the rollers to identify what type that would need to be ordered. The sales person did not know how to remove the rollers. I then had to inform him on these older 1960's sliding glass doorwalls, that the door side frames had to be removed first, thus allowing the bottom frame to be open from the sides for the continued removal of the rollers. (At this point, I wasn't going to let the sales person perform this and risk damaging the window.) After explaining this type of doorwall to the sales person, he decided not to proceed and to have his service people perform. The sales person did suggest WD-40 / greasing the track. Again, I had to inform the sale person that doing so will allow the rollers to slide and not roll, thus eventually grinding down the track and flat spotting the rollers. The track & roller surfaces need to be clean in order to make proper contact and roll. I didn't hear anything from the sales person that afternoon, nor the next day, and don't expect to hear anything back. Was not impressed with having to assist for a service that I was obtaining a provider to perform, nor to explain a particular doorwall that is the business of the sales person.
