As stated above, we had used him on two separate occasions, with good results. He was busy, and the projects were a little behind schedule, but overall, once his guys got started, the work was great and completed quickly. We contacted Jamie in the first week of May, this year regarding our addition project. He came out, quoted the job.. We tried several times to contact him. He told us July was a good time that "things get slow" because people are on vacation, etc. We waited and waited. We began calling in mid-July. His voice mail is usually full, you can send a text, but he usually won't respond. Both my husband and I were sending texts-- very nice ones. Jamie is a likeable guy and we understand he is running his own business and is very busy. Keep in mind, our yard has been torn up for 3 months now and moving forward in this project depends on the concrete being poured. He finally came out again during the first week of August. He told us exactly what needed to be done and told us to get the inspector sign off, which was done in 2 days. Jamie said he'd be back the following Monday. We heard nothing. The attempted phone messages (mailbox full) and texts we sent almost daily. We found out from him that the reasons he was delayed were due to two very different family issues. Definitely things you don't expect, but you also don't expect someone to drop their whole business and not respond to customer requests. Today (August 21) Jamie finally responded that he cannot do the job. Now we are left scrambling to find someone to complete this work in the next few weeks so we can get the addition buttoned up before winter. Apparently, all masons are super busy and cannot be bothered with calling customers back. We have yet to hear from anyone else, except one, Steven Reed (review to follow upon completion of the work). We feel badly, Jamie is a good guy. Unfortunately, in business you need someone dependable, and he has shown himself not to be.
Description of Work: We used Jamie on two past projects: to pour a pole barn floor (2012) and a garage slab and entry pad (also 2012, but separate projects). He did beautiful work, very reasonable cost, and those projects still look great with no defects. This year, we needed someone to help with footings and some block work for a home addition project. He has stopped returning our calls.

Terrible! He didn't show up when he was scheduled and the house was torn up for months! Could not get him to finish the work as requested. When done, the price was WAY more than it was supposed to be. The wall and fire place is beautiful but I would never use him to do any work for me again.
Description of Work: Built a fire place and bricked wall
