The owner came out and discussed the work we wanted done and took measurements. He emailed us a quote for the work. We asked for modifications which he quickly made and we finalized the work. He put us in the schedule and came out in October to do the work. One day to tear out and frame everything. One day to pour. One day to remove the forms and stain the border. It all went very smoothly. Come the spring, we found that we had a few cracks and some scaling due to heaving from the winter freeze. I contacted Greg to see if there was anything we could do. He came out and looked over the issues and told us he would take care of them as soon as the weather allowed, which he did, no questions asked.

We were pleased with the work done by Rolland Concrete. We had one mishap that occurred but the owners were quick to correct to our satisfaction. We would definately recommend them for stamped concrete work. We were very pleased.

Rolland Cement Inc were very efficient and did a great job, I would highly recommend this company!

Rolland was not my lowest quote, but I chose them based on good reviews from Angie's List, the quality of the materials they said they would use, and helpful advice that Lori Rolland gave me when she came by my house to give me a quote. They also have an impressive website, with lots of photos and ideas. Work started a few weeks later than originally discussed, partly due to weather, but Greg Rolland worked with me on timing. He did not request any payment until the job was complete. The crew removed my old patio and prepped for the new one on the first day. They ground some of the concrete from the old patio right on site, and used it as a "gravel" base for the new patio. They answered my questions and worked around an inconveniently-placed basement window. (I was expecting a little more help/advice on the final design, but I recognize that my patio was pretty basic compared to many of the more extensive ones Rolland has pictured on their website.) Greg was on site while the work was being done, and his crew was hard-working and friendly. They took care to avoid damaging the siding on the house when they were breaking up the concrete, and they laid down plywood in order to minimize damage to my lawn from wheelbarrows and foot traffic. The following day the local inspector came. On the next "weather permitting" day Rolland installed the concrete. The day after that they sealed it. The next morning I noticed a small area that they had missed with the sealer, but I called Greg and he had someone out re-sealing the patio later that same day. I was impressed by their responsiveness. I am pleased with the final result. It is certainly much more attractive than my old, plain grey concrete patio.

Everything, from initial contact to completion, went very well. I was extremely pleased with their responsiveness to my calls and emails throughout the project. From the first time I contacted them to schedule a written estimate to the project build day they kept their appointments and arrived when they said they would. Greg and his crew were friendly, polite, and professional. While on the job site they displayed a sense of respect for me and our property. I especially appreciated the fact that conversations and language were clean, there was no loud music being played, and they cleaned up after themselves at the end of the day. Greg was also very easy to work with. Early on, I misunderstood something Greg had asked me about and I ended up giving him an incorrect response with regards to my desires for the layout of our patio. When I saw that something wasn't lining up right I asked Greg about it. It was then that we discovered I had miscommunicated my intentions. Greg was quick to redirect the process even though the mistake had been mine. He maintained a very calm and professional attitude in spite of the extra work it caused him and his crew. I am also pleased with the overall workmanship of the crew. The final product is simply beautiful and we are looking forward to enjoying our new patio for many years to come.

GOOD at first until i had some concerns Lori Rolland never returned my phone calls or my emails she just ignored me!!! i had some questions regarding the patio after it was installed she told me she would be out next week> she never called or showed up. I had sprinkler heads sticking out of the ground i had to say something to them. Now after the fact i have to get someone to reroute my down spout or the water will flood my flower bed. I would have thought these are the types of things they could suggest to the customer on what to do about. One day they were leaving and these guys spoke to my father about the plans of returning tomorrow and what needed to be done that night and my father was sitting in garage pretty much sleeping (whom was dying condition) had no clue what these people were saying to him. I come out after i noticed they were done and they leave without speaking to me!! I was trying to ask my dad what they said but my dad had no clue. I was the customer not my father!!! The original plan i got taken! Lori measured to the end of house and gave me estimate on that!!! but then when Greg came out and remeasured before starting work he says the original measure did not cover at end of house so i had to pay extra for them going to the end of house which i feel was not right!! I did understand paying the extra for the additional i added after the fact. I was happy at first which is why i chose them, i had 5 different companies come out but now i feel they do everything to get your business then once they have your money then you are nothing they don't have to respond to questions or deal with you in any way!!!

Initial Estimate: For the initial estimate I contacted Rolland Cement via email and a few days later Lori came out to the house to take a look. We talked through a few different thoughts and she said she'd get back with me that week with a few drawings and estimates. Good to her word 2-3 days later were drawings and estimates in my inbox. She provided three designs one of which we instantly liked. Lori was really responsive to emails back and forth. She answered several questions for us. via email. After the snow melted and we had a thought on which design we wanted, Lori and Greg came out to the house again to take a look at the final plans, the job, and talk about the project, help us pick some patters/colors etc. They were both really friendly and easy to work with. The did not take any deposit and they told us once the permit had been filed and taken care of they'd contact us to setup dates for the work. Actual On Site Work: This crew was good, quick, and hard working. Greg and his team were really good. The first day on the job they tore out our 500 sq ft deck, framed in the new patio, laid all the filler, did all the grading, compacting everything. After day 1, everything was ready for inspection. Day 2 no work was done as they were waiting for the inspector to come and give the approval. Day 3 the inspection was completed earlier in the day. When we came home from work they were pouring the concrete - our steps and the mail pad. Day 4 they came out and poured the perimeter wrap around step for our design selected. Day 5 they cleaned everything off and put on a layer of sealant. Greg called and said they wanted to pour another seal coat and would wait a few days to do that. There was some intermittent rain but a few days later they sent a guy out to seal the patio. I was home when the guy was there, and what care for his work he had. He cleaned off the patio, took off his work boots, and rolled and brushed on the sealer in his socks as to not get dirt on the surface of the patio. All the guys on his crew were hard working and had a good amount of attention to detail and pride in their work. And, you can tell, the patio looks fantastic. I would highly recommend them for their work. Financials So, Rolland Cement was not the most inexpensive. We got several quotes from several companies. In the end we boiled it down to 3 contractors. One was about 40% more expensive than Rolland. The other was about 20% less expensive than Rolland. However, we felt the most comfortable with Greg and Lori, they had lots of good reviews, and knew that they'd do a great job. And, in the end, we are really happy that we chose them. They were really easy to work with and very friendly people. My experience is that a lot of contractors can be brash, not so friendly, and can't even keep track of your job vs others. Even though Greg and his crew were working multiple projects simultaneously, they always knew what was going on at our house and Greg was always incredibly friendly to my fiance and I on the site. They did not collect any deposit or initial money at the onset of the project. We paid them in full at the completion of the project.

Contacted Rolland Cement based on a referral from another cement contractor who wasn't able to address our needs. We scheduled a time and they came out and provided a written estimate, offered some ideas for the patio design and provided a very competitive price. We decided to go with them based on the referral from the other cement contractor, internet reviews, Angie's list reviews and the competitive price. We had to postpone the first start date due to rainy weather, but they came out promptly when the weather improved and completed nearly all the work on the first day. They returned to power wash and seal the patio on day two. The crew was professional and friendly, they did a great job in laying out the patio design and in all the small details that make the stamped concrete look professionally finished. They did a nice job in cleaning up the job site and working some of the excavated dirt back into the existing grade around the house. (This is new construction and the sod has not been installed as yet.) We are very pleased with the finished product and would not hesitate to use Rolland Cement in the future. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and professional, their price was very competitive and the finished product was, in our opinion, first rate.

Showed up extremely quickly to provide a quote. We changed the shape/design a couple of times after agreeing to have Rolland do the work. Rolland worked easily with our changes and accomodated our requests. The work was done ahead of schedule and thw quality is amazing. We have received multiple compliments from everyone who has seen it.

Excellent company, very professional. The work was completed VERY quickly. The crew was extremely friendly and highly skilled. We made some design changes as the forms were being set and the team was very patient and helpful. The end result looks fabulous. Clean up was outstanding. They are not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Everyone who sees our new patio comments on the high quality workmanship. Roland is a first class operation we would highly recommend.

Had Rolland Cement install a stamped/colored concrete patio. We had hired them before to do our patio at our other house and I was not hesitant to call them back to do this one. I know they do good work!! Lori came out and gave me a good price. There was no need to call anyone else! I had several conversations with Lori via email and she responded quickly. I had to call them before the job started to give me a price on a driveway too since a contractor we had hired to do other work, totally broke our driveway. Lori gave me a price via email and then i had to have her come out to look at it because i had some concerns. THIS COMPANY IS THE BEST FOR CONCRETE WORK!!! I WILL NOT HIRE ANYONE ELSE TO DO MY CONCRETE WORK AND I HAVE MORE WORK THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE... I CAN TRUST THESE GUYS AND THEY DO AN EXCELLENT JOB!!!

Called Rolland Cement after seeing a billboard for them and seeing their trucks out on the road. I contacted several companies for an estimate. Rolland Cement was not the cheapest, HOWEVER I felt comfortable with him. They showed up on time and did GREAT work!! I got compliments all the time. Had him give my mom a price for a patio and she chose someone else who was cheaper and she obviously got what she paid for!! Cheaper isn't always better!!! I trust Rolland Cement and in fact today (7/10/13) they are coming to my new house that we bought a few months ago and they are putting in a driveway and patio. This time i didn't bother going out for bids because i know how they work and the job always looks great. ** i will be posting another positive review for them after they get done with this job**(didn't see rolland cement on here before so i couldn't post this review earlier than now)

It went very well. The workers were experienced, knowledgeable and responsive to our questions. Communication was excellent and we are very satisfied with the results.

Lori came out to give me an estimate about two days after I called her. She came out on the day and time that we arranged. She described what kind of work they did and showed me photos of their projects. They broke up and removed my old cement patio and prepared it for the new concrete. They removed the old in the morning and poured the new patio in the afternoon. The next day they power washed the patio and the following day they sealed it. The patio is beautiful! We use it throughout most of the seasons. It always gets rave reviews from all that see it. In watching Greg and his crew work, I was extremely impressed with their skills. They are truly artists! Clean-Up was excellent. I would highly recommend them for any kind of concrete work. PS I just recently had them pour a smaller combination trash storage /generator pad that I wanted to match my original 2 year old patio. This job too was superb. Even though they were tasked with matching a 2 year old job, it turned out great, matching almost identically!
