Description of Work: Contract for clearing city sidewalks for snow season. Service triggers at half and inch of snow. They use bobcat vehicle with large brush. Great service and quality!

Description of Work: grass mowing, edging, hedge clipping on a weekly basis from May - September. They also have done some additional jobs such as prepping my flower beds in the spring, planting some perennials, adding gravel to our driveway and using weed killer on the driveway to keep the weeds out. If I have time, I will see if they would plant some bulbs for me along the front of my house and I'm sure they'll do a fine job and not charge very much.

Description of Work: Ann Arbor Lawn Care performed basic mowing, trimming and edging services to our yard. In addition, they prepped my flower beds, planted perennials, trimmed our hedges and butterfly bush and edged our gravel driveway. There were extra charges associated with those tasks but the charges were reasonable and the tasks were performed very promptly and well.

Description of Work: We wanted to add landscape covering and cedar mulch to our beds around our house, clean up weeds, replace wood and plastic edging around beds as it bulged up over the dirt and needed replacement, and trees trimmed away from our house. We needed this area around our house as maintenance free as possible done in 2011. After the work was done, the property was improved, but lacked quality work and some things were not done. No wood edging was replaced or corrected around the house as discussed. It was simply left to bulge up over the beds and left unattended. The mulch placed into our beds was not enough to cover the landscape liner that was added by the company so the plastic showed through. Some areas were not covered by plastic landscape covering in the front of the house, and weeds were growing tall. The remaining areas around our house was not covered in lining or mulch. Many of the trees were trimmed and improved, but some were not corrected and still touch our house, and we now need to do that again this year. They used a ground cover mulch that was different than I ordered saying it was better, but did not let me know before they came out that they were replacing what I ordered with a different color and mulch type. When I asked them to add more mulch to cover the plastic liner so it would not show through in the front of our home, and to add liner to the front of our home as agreed upon verbally and in writing, the owner became very upset. He pounded on my door for his money, but I did not feel he should be completely paid until the job was corrected. When he pounded heavily on my front door. I did not go to the door as the behavior was very aggressive. The owner wanted his money, and we wanted a satisfactory job before the entire job was paid. After discussion with my me when I asked for certain things to be corrected, the owner thought he should talk to my husband and surpass me, the wife, in this project. I felt he tried to bully and scare me which did not work, and now he would try to go to my husband to be paid for the job that both my husband and I felt was unsatisfactory. My husband and I sent photos of the weeds coming up through the area where the liner was not placed as contracted, and we showed photos of the areas not completed with two foot high weeds. The materials were not enough to cover the job and the property was left improved but lacking in quality work. After we complained, showed photos, met with the owner, had many fiery discussions on the phone and in person, they returned and added liner and mulch to areas not completed. We paid in full for the job after liner was added to the front of the house and cedar mulch added to areas not completed. Even though the owner stated he would correct the wood beams and edging, this was not specifically in the agreement and was only verbally agreed upon, thus this was not done. Lining and wood chips were not placed around the entire house as we had verally discussed. and agreed upon. In retrospect, the agreement should have had a drawing of exactly where the liner would go in reference to our home so we would not have had these issues.

Description of Work: Ricardo came on time and provided a very reasonable estimate for cleaning out our flower beds, trimming our hedges, edging our sidewalk, taking out the weeds growing in our gravel driveway and treating our front lawn with grub killer. He proposed that they come the next day to do the work. When I came home the next day my yard was transformed!! I would recommend Ann Arbor Lawn Care to anyone.

Description of Work: I hired this company towards the end of May to mow my lawn weekly through the summer. In July, I hired them to clean my gutters. I have 0.16 acres in a near downtown neighborhood in Ann Arbor, houses built in the 1950s. Lawn mowing is $25 per week. Gutters were $85.
