+ -1 moreBased on the quote from 2 years ago I would say the personal service is excellent. This may not be the case now. I have seen their work in several businesses and homes around town and the work is well executed, but smaller jobs may not be a priority at this time.The lack of response has been frustrating, but I think this speaks more to personnel choices than the quality of work.
Description of Work: Nothing, this time. I called for a quote 2 years ago and was they came out within a couple of days and looked at my bathroom thoroughly and on time. Mr. Barber even called his carpenter to come out while he was here so they could give me a cost on leveling the floor without having to schedule another appointment and he could give me a cost the same day. It was an amazing experience, but we decided not to do the project at that time to save up for a full bathroom remodel (also something Mr. Barber said we may want to think about, in a very low pressure way) instead of just leveling the floor and putting in new flooring. Well that time is here and I called at the end of June to see if they could find the quote that was given for the leveling piece to give us a starting point for our current project (without having to involve the carpenter again if it wasn't necessary). The woman that answered said they did tend to keep those for quite a while and she would call back and let me know. I never received a call. I contacted them though Angies List on 7/14 along with several other vendors (electrician, plumbers, general contractors) and this is the ONLY business I have not heard back from. My previous experience and the abundance of positive referrals I have gotten from residents of saint johns led me to stop by the store to see if I could get an idea of when they would be available to come out to check out the project. I was told I needed to pick tile and then call back before they would look at the project. So again I did not set up a time. I have had several "out of town" companies come to my house to give free estimates without giving them a tile choice. These contractors actually gave me some advise about some possibilities that may work well for my space so I was a little surprised. I was given a reference from barbers for an internet decorating site, which was actually very helpful, but not the kind of personal service I was expecting from this company.

+ 0 moreThe price is very reasonable and it is a family owned business. They are very professional, complete the work in timeframe quoted, they are respectful of your property, very clean and leaves it better then we they got there. I intend to use them again.

They came to our house to install window blinds; I feel their prices are acceptable maybe a little high but they are quality blinds. They are prompt and very professional. I will use Barber's again and I would recommend them.

+ -1 moreThey found something within our price range and gave us a quote. They went above and beyond what we asked for; they wanted extra details that we wouldn't have thought of. They are down the street and they were easy to work with. They have a huge selection so you only have to stop one place to shop. They offer appointments but we didn't take them up on that; they were trying to be proactive about measuring and giving a more exact estimate but we are still in the early phases of planning.
Description of Work: Barber's Floor & More gave me a quote for flooring.
