Kevin and Chris were VERY thorough. They went through every inch of the house and made recommendations if it was warranted. The report they provided via e mail is very well done with pictures and recommendations and any urgent needs. I learned many things by this experience!

The inspector was courteous, professional, and punctual. He took the time to show me where the issues are and offered advice on how to fix or repair. At the end of the inspection he provide an extensive report of his findings and recommendations. It was really valuable to have our home inspected prior to putting up for sale because we were able to take care of the things that might be a problem for potential buyers. We were also able to provide potential buyers with our inspection report.

This is the first time I have written on Angie's list. I felt it necessary to let anyone know if they are looking for the very best inspector for there home. Here they are. Kevin and his staff are very professional and extremely thorough. I used Kevins services approx 8 years ago on our previous home. When we recently purchased an older home I knew my first call would be an appointment with Kevin to inspect our new home. As expected Kevin and his entire staff could not have been any better. I highly recommend Kevin.

He was more thorough than any home inspection I have ever had in the past. He also took the time to answer my questions and to make suggestions as to what I needed to do. I would definitely hire him in the future.

Being a first time home buyer I researched every home inspection company on Angieslist. I am very happy I did. I chose this company because their company webpage was very informative and offered a lot of information as opposed to what I saw in other companies. The first person I had interaction with was Tina. She was extremely friendly, very helpful, and went above and beyond to find a way to schedule an appointment at the only time I had available (due to a very hetic fulltime work and school schedule). I instantly felt at ease and as if I was in good hands.Inspection day came and we greated Ben. He was early and very well prepared. He was extremely professional (which as a veteran I am always watching out for professionalism) and explained in detail what he would be doing, looking for, and how if we had any questions he would break it down for us. AND BOY DID HE EVER!!! As we walked around just the exterior of the home with him he pointed out everything we didn't even know to look for. He explained our towns regulations, as well as FHA regulations, and every single thing that would be brought up if we were to continue the process of trying to buy the home. His experience in the field showed wonderfully as he even told us a bit of history about older homes that could have cost us a LOT of money to repair. Once he finished explaining the exterior to us he was very honest and open with us. His words to us were, "If you're first time home buyers I am professionally saying I would be weary of whether or not you should continue to try to purchase this house". He went into the interior of the home and straight into the basement. Once he was down there he pointed out everything he was able to notice from the exterior that was now confirmed. The owners of the home did 97 years worth of shotty patch work. The home was sinking and the foundational structure of the home was cracking. It had NEVER been properly taken care of. The home owners laziness over the years would have cost us well over $30,000 to START before we could even move in. As he was down there he spotted mold. Not just in one spot, he checked every inch of that basement. He found it on the pipes, crawlspace, even on the main support beam. He noticed that the mold was airborne, and would certainly need to be tested. That would have been yet another $3,000-$5,000 out of our pocket. After his inspection of the basement, and his suspicions confirmed about the structure of the home Ben eventually said, "Look I don't feel comfortable recommending you purchase this house as your first home." We stopped the, what was to be 3 hours inspection, after only an hour. Instead of charging us the $370 for the inspection he only charged us $175. I'd have gladly paid him well over $500 just for saving us over $30,000 and a lot of headache from buying that house. I will be using this company again for my next home inspection, and any and all others after. This company saved me from making a BIG mistake. I cannot thank them enough.

Several issues had started to crop up in a home purchased a year ago. As a first-time buyer of a single family home, I wasn't sure if they were normal maintenance/wear-and-tear issues or the sign of ongoing problems. I contacted Home Inspection Professionals and two days later Kevin came out. He walked me through every inch of the house, explained how various systems worked, what to keep an eye out for, and did a thorough evaluation. He provided me with a detailed report, as well as Spring and Fall home maintenance checklists. It was a relief to know that nothing major appeared to be wrong. I'm now addressing the items on his recommendation list (using Angie's List ,of course) and also resting much easier at night!

First of all, I usually do not write reviews on websites like these. However, thanks to Ben's awesome service i was compelled to write a post. Ben from Home Inspection Professionals arrived way before we did and already surveyed the roof of the home by the time we got there. He was very thorough with his inspection, and was extremely knowledgeable about homes. He was able to give suggestions and advices throughout the whole process, and he was very easy to understand. Most importantly, he was able to find the mold issues on the attic, which helped us to negotiate costs with the sellers. Also, his experience in construction and home renovations was extremely helpful in giving ideas on what we could to in regards to options of renovating the home. In conclusion, Ben was extremely helpful with our home inspection and i would recommend him with two thumbs up to anybody.

We had Ben as our inspector and he was awesome. As a first time home buyer he was very informative and helpful throughout the entire inspection. He had a very friendly disposition which made asking questions easy and he also provided tips on maintenance and repairs. He got there early and started looking around right away before we even got there. You could tell right away he takes pride in his work. We started outside and made a lap around the house and into the garage. He pointed out some minor issues and some other more pressing needs that should be addressed sooner than later. Next we went into the house where we went through every room from the attic to the basement. Finally we ended the inspection will discussions on the furnace, water heater, etc. All in all it took about 3 hours which included him taking some time during to update the inspection and create the write up. These breaks were actually very nice so we could digest the information he provided and to also look around the home for any other concerns before we continued on. The great thing about Ben was that he noted all that he was concern about (even the minor ones) but made sure that when he saw something of great importance, he would really express it and we would listen. The write up he provided was available immediately after the inspection was completed which is great because it gives you plenty of time to go over it and get back to the sellers with your concerns. I definitely recommend Ben as an inspector.

Inspection went very well and Ben found so many issues with home we did not see. He left us with thorough information on the home with detailed pictures.

Ben was our inspector and let me just say that he was great and really knew his stuff. He was at the property early before we arrived and once we started the inspection process, he gave us all the little details about the house, inside and out. Many of the things that he brought up to make sure we were aware of were things I would've never thought of. I learned a lot from him and I am so glad that I chose Home Inspection Professionals to do the inspection. I recommend this company to anyone because I guarantee that you'll be impressed and very satisfied!

Kevin was wonderful! He was on time and very thorough. He was fund and easy to get a long with, yet very professional. He taught us a lot and was very helpful.

Ben was great! This was the most in depth inspection process that I have ever experienced! He literally worked from the top down inspecting every inch of the home, yard and garage. He provided great maintenance tips and provided us an in depth inspection report via email before he even left the property. I highly recommend this company and will use them again if this property doesn't work out.

Kevin was prompt, courteous and very through with the inspection of our home. He pointed out issues we would of never seen on our own. He knows his job very well.

I got the quote over the phone. They gave me two quotes, one quote was for $250 and the other one was $340. There was nothing that I disliked about them; I did not use them because their schedule did not meet up with mine. I called them with only a couple days’ notice before I needed the inspection. If the schedule would have worked out, I would have used them.

Our inspector, Ben, was very personal and friendly and did a great job of explaining the entire home inspection process to my wife and me. He did an incredibly thorough job of inspecting our prospective new home with a fine tooth comb both both inside and out. During the inspection he pointed out both the good and issues and provided tips and suggestions for addressing normal maintenance needs of this home. The final report from Home Inspection Professionals was delivered via e-mail that day and was very thorough and included pictures and all the details of the inspection. Home Inspection Professionals was very professional and thorough from scheduling to final reporting. We felt very confident in making a decision on this home based on their comprehensive inspection and findings. Would highly recommend.

They arrived early to start preliminary inspection of outside - sent an expert on seawall & dock inspections. Did an extremely thorough inspection including going into the crawl space. Captured everything online at the inspection & emailed the report before we left.

Kevin and assistant were early and ready, we started outside due to the season. I learned a lot about the home I am going to buy. Very informative and knowledgeable.

The Inspector was very pleasant and on time. He inspected outside first and then asked me to come out. I appreciated that as the weather was very cold. I was pleased with the knowledge and experience he had with home construction and systems. He was very thorough in the basement with the walls and electrical panel and I feel I gained a lot of information for home maintenance inside and outside of the home. The inspection took about 4 hrs for the 2000 sq. ft. house. The inspector took many photos and used his computer to prepare a 26 page report that was emailed to me before he left. The report contains a lot of useful information on what they check for and if they are unable to see something clearly that is indicated. I feel that Mr. Gergis did an excellent job and he helped me by answering my questions clearly without getting to technical.

This is our 4th home purchase and I was very impressed with professionalism Kevin displayed. He and his partner showed up a few minutes early and went right to work. He explained everything he was doing,answered all questions and gave maintenance tips and tricks to keep the home running smoothly. Overall a very easy and painless experience.

Kevin was wonderful! Buying a new home is both exciting and stressful; Kevin made the process enjoyable. He took his time walking through the home explaining everything in detail. He was able to read my level of understanding and gave either more or less information depending on what I needed. He was thorough, knowledgeable, and extremely personable. I hope to stay in this home for quite some time; if I do need to move, Kevin will be the inspector I will call.
