Description of Work: Full home inspection. I followed the inspector around the house and property during the entire inspection. I was apprised of the condition of each item and each area during the inspection and any questions were suitably answered. At the conclusion of the inspection I was given a verbal summary as well as a comprehensive printed copy of the inspection report. The inspector showed up a little early with the realtor and got started immediately.

Description of Work: The inspector was on time. He spent about three hours checking things out and educating me. He provided me a huge insight on home care and condition. Kevin was on the scene before we arrived. He was precise, concise and very thorough. He exposed unsafe and defective furnace that resulted in the furnace being replaced. Seemed to care about our welfare, gave many helpful hints for the future.

The home inspection went well. The house was in overall pretty good shape. Kevin pointed out any issues to us. We are confident in our purchase now and it was nice to have a professionals opinion.

Kevin was a great inspector. We used him TWICE because we walked away from a deal after having him as an inspector. He was extremely thorough and honest, even with the sellers' agent standing right there, hoping we wouldn't discover the giant crack in the foundation or talk about the very odd-looking patch work on the adjoining wall that was essentially trying to hold the house together. Given the considerable pressure on inspectors to "make deals happen" for continued referrals from real estate agents, Kevin made the best of a very awkward situation; he did not hesitate to tell us exactly what he felt was wrong with the property and didn't mince words, though he remained professional throughout. He also gave his honest assessment of a shoddy "waterproofing" system the owners had installed in the basement, which we had doubts about already. We ultimately walked away due to the serious foundation issues on the property. We felt so lucky to have had him as our inspector for that house and have no doubt that we made the right decision in walking away. For the second inspection, Kevin was again very thorough and honest. We trusted him to tell us, once again, if there were major issues with the property and he did discover one, but it was a normal homeowner sort of thing we felt we could deal with. Still, we're so glad he didn't downplay anything for the sake of making a sale happen. Kevin was extremely professional throughout both inspections and could answer all of our questions without hesitation. Buyers: Kevin Stripling is the worst nightmare of every seller hoping to hide a major flaw! HIRE HIM, especially if you are buying an older house that you think might have issues.
Description of Work: Kevin inspected two houses for us before purchase; one in May 2009 and one in July 2009. We walked away from the first one due to his great work and his honesty.
