Description of Work: We had a reshingle done on our house and detached garage. When Pete came out to look at the house and give an estimate he was very professional about what was to be done and how they would make sure everything was done to our liking. My husband didn't get a chance to walk around the house and garage immediately afterwards. So when he did, he notice some dents and scratches on the gutters and soffits. |My husband said they had set the scaffolding against our gutters and he told them they needed to move them off so they wouldn't be damaged. This is what resulted in them being bent in some areas, and when I called Vondette Roofing about it, the 1st reply was they were like that already. I informed him that, that was not possible, my husband is disable and cannot climb up on the latter to hang Christmas lights. I am his wife and I climb up on the latter to do it. So I have made at least 4 more calls for him to come out and look at it, and each time his reply was I'll be through there in a couple of days. Well it is January and we still waiting, and to me this is very unprofessional with no respect for us or our home after the job was completed. His price was good but his follow up sucked. He didn't do a walk through after the project was done to make sure everything was done to our liking and there was no damage to our property. That how you keep satisfied customers.I would rather pay more if it meant doing a job with respect and making sure we as customers are completely happy with the final results.

Description of Work: Replaced the roof for our house and garage. Did everything in one day and thorough clean up. Was the most responsive of all the roofers we contacted. Roof has held up through a HUGE windstorm with no problems. That'w why we replaced our 12-year old roof (yes, only 12 years old) in the first place - we had shingles blowing off after any significant windstorm. | |So far, so good. Description of Work: Vondette removed and replaced the roof and gutters on my mother in law's home for us. They were a fair price (we got three estimates and took theirs as it was in the middle) they called to give us an update as to the week they would be coming weather permitting. The called 24 hours before the job began, arrived promptly, cleaned up well (except for a few nails we found near the driveway the next day that could have easily been missed) and finished in the time that was quoted. Gutters were put on several days later. The roof has not leaked even though we have had 2 major rain storms so we know that it is down firmly. We did not choose a premium shingle for this job.

 + -1 moreThe team from Vondette Roofing was amazing! They arrived in the morning to get started early. By 5 pm, they were finished. I'm impressed with the quality of work and materials. I'm also very pleased with the attention to detail - including clean-up. They went above and beyond to sweep up every trace of materials. In fact, I think our lawn was cleaner when left than it had been when they arrived.

 + -1 moreProbably the biggest party my roof will ever see. Appx. 17 man crew arrived at 8:00 AM and went right to work. The shingles were delivered the afternoon before. They were finished by 11:10 AM and that included clean up. The dumpster was picked up later. As I was watching the entire time, the installation seemed to be very well done and professional. There were a couple sheets of plywood with some problems and they replaced those. It's only been since yesterday and it hasn't rained, but at this point I think they did an excellent job. Blown away, by how many people were here and how quickly it went. Must be it's shingle season as I thought I heard some familiar noises this morning and it turns out the neighbors are getting their roof reshingled too. One man,one woman and a utility trailer. I bet it takes a bit longer for them to get the job done. I think the roofing company owner has done more to keep people employed than either Romney or Obama! Might have to write him in for a vote!

They were courteous and took care that nothing was damaged, even moving and replacing yard ornaments and hoses. The roof looks fantastic, they went above and beyond what we expected. They cleaned everything up and we found no debris left behind.
Description of Work: Stripped down existing roof, application of drip edge, ice guard, shingles, ridge vents and flashing. Also installed 33 sheets of sheathing and 2 exhaust fan vents

 + -1 moreOutstanding - they showed up the day after I signed the contract, and everything was complete in one day. They replaced sheathing where necessary, restored some other damage, and were gone in less than a full day. Last guy to leave was the one who completed the cleanup by covering the area with a magnet sweep to catch the nails. We were VERY satisfied with the work and the workers. The price was significantly less than the other bids we solicited.
Description of Work: Vondette replaced our asphalt shingle roof, including repairing/replacing the sheathing where necessary.

 + 0 moreIt was an amazing experience!! The crew showed up at 7:30 a.m., and they worked like a well-oiled machine. Every man knew what to do, from those who covered all the bushes, to those who stripped off the old shingles, those who nailed in new shingles, those who cleaned up, etc. At one point, I had 14 men on the roof, working at the same time. They finished EVERYTHING by 1:00 p.m. It was amazing!!! I would recommend Vondette Roofing to anyone. They did superior work!!

 + 1 moreWe awoke one rainy night to the sound of water dripping in our bedroom, with 2 more days of heavy rain in the forecast. I called Vondette Roofing, and Pete Vondette (the owner) came right out. He got to our house during a lull in the storm, and did an inspection of the roof. I feared he was going to tell me it was shot and needed replaced (even though I knew it was in generally good shape). To my surprise, he said it appeared there was some leaking at our outdated ridge vents, and they could probably get to replacing them that afternoon, depending on the weather. I was surprised to hear hammering on our roof about one hour later (well before noon). The guys came out, did the job in a steadily increasing rain, and were done in about 1.5 hours. There was no construction debris anywhere on my property, and the leak was fixed. I would definitely recommend them.
