Description of Work: The original problem was that wasps were going into a small hole where the vinal siding pieces met by the front door. Powder was sprayed in the area and after a few minutes we could see that there was less and less of a problem. Jordan went around the perimeter of the house and said he sprayed. He said he would be back if a problem occurred at no charge to us. He hadn't been gone long when we spotted a wasps nest at the peak of the roof in the garage so we called him back. He said he would be out and gave us a date. He did not call or come. We have called several times and were only able to leave messages. He has been unresponsive to our calls.

Description of Work: Bug and insect control. Very prompt and thorough we are pleased with their service and would recommend. Great not to have spiders and ants crawling around. Bug free and loving it.

Description of Work: We hired Orkin to help us get rid of pests of all kinds when we moved in to this home. They have treated for ants, bees nests inside brick walls, mice and patched outer walls so the problem would not occur again. They also gave us information about how to prevent future problems - ie; remove wood mulch from around base of our home

Description of Work: They come quarterly to address a variety of insect issues including ants, spiders etc. I asked them return after I discovered a hornet's nest in the on the front of our house. They sent our regular service tech ( relatively new) the next day and he eliminated the problem immediately.

Description of Work: On August 22nd 2012 Orkin came out and performed the initial service after I had called them about carpenter ants. They were here on time the day they said they would be here. The man said he performed a complete inspection around and under the house and he said he could identify where the ants were getting in. He drilled four holes in my bedroom wall (without getting my permission first) and proceeded to spray some dust in the holes. . He then went outside and sprayed some kind of liquid around the house. After he was done and I had paid him for a years service in advance he then told me that if I saw any more ants in the house he would come back and treat the house again at no charge. He also said my regular follow up visit would be on September 26th between 1 - 3 PM. On August 30th we called after seeing several ants in our bedroom and talked to the clerk about the problem. He said they would get someone out there in a day or two. This was a Thursday that we called. No body called or came to the house. The following Tuesday I called the Orkin office 4 times during the day and could not get thru to talk to a live person so I left messages on the answering machine. I did not have any communication until I called again on Thursday the 5th ofSeptember. I talked to the girl who answered the phone and explained that I was having a problem with the ants and that I was very unhappy with the lack of communication from their office. She said that they would try and get someone out the next day. The next day came and no one called or came out. That night I got a call from Orkin and they said they would be out the following Tuesday. This is 12 FULL DAYS after I initially called and told them the ants were back. When the man came out Tuesday he apologized profusely and said the problem was with the office and I replied that it did not matter to me where the problem originated it was still unacceptable. He went around and reapplied the dust and liquid and said he thought the problem was fixed. He then told me that he would be here on September the 26th which was my regular date between 1- 3PM. On September 26th I was home waiting for Orkin and guess what, NOBODY CALLED OR SHOWED UP. I waited until a little after 4PM and then called Orkin and talked to a man after being transferred by the receptionist. When I told him about the missed service call he said that according to his chart Sept 11th was my regular date for service. I explained that I had documentation from the man who serviced my house and it clearly states that my regular service date was September 26th and September 11th was an extra call because of the reappearing ants. I then cancelled the service and demanded my money back and he said he would file the paperwork that day to get my credit card refunded. It is October 14th as I write this and I have not received a dime yet. I called my credit card company and told them I was disputing this charge and they are taking over from here on.

Description of Work: We use Orkin Pest Control for pest control. They spray for ants, bees, bugs and insects. We have had them coming for 2 years in the spring and summer for different things.

Description of Work: 1) We had ants. 2) centipedes. 3) bees....They sprayed and they are gone. 4) We had mice in attic. So far so good ... cost $142.00 Pre-paid. Orkin suggested I buy a one year (6 service) contract and they come out bi-monthly) every other month .....cost $694.00 the total came to $836.00 But Clayton (the bi-monthly guy) said he wanted his supervisor/inspector to take a look at our attic for "mice" even though we weren't hearing them anymore..... I didn' t think I needed Tom Mikolajczak, the Orkin inspector but thought why not, it was a FREE inspection. Tom went around the entire house and said he saw mouse droppings above ceiling tiles in the basement (we have a finished basement with dropped ceiling tiles). He went into the attic and said we had a lot of mice and found droppings and urine everywhere. The insulation was ruined and infested according to him. He said the mice moved around a lot of insulation with their activity and they could be in walls too, chewing electrical wires... and said they reproduce every 30 days. He was so concerned how bad our problem was and said we probably should have Orkin come to SUCK out all our insulation and the mice would go with this clean up project. Orkin would then replace insulation with their special celulose (paper) insulation called "TAP" pest control insulation. This cost would be approximately $5023.00 to do the entire house's attic's plus seal some spots around the house he thought mice could enter. He also found mold which added $900.00 to this price. I signed the contract, and was told he would have his workers out in 2 days, however a family health emergency occurred, and I had to cancel due to circumstances. ( The contract said I had 3 days to cancel ) and I still had time to send off a certified letter of cancellation. Continued in next box below.

Description of Work: Price is for 7 treatments and services over a full year. Includes inspection of home for pests, orientation to services, first treatment, answered all questions. Second treatment occurs in 30 days and then once every 2 months for total of 7 treatments for the price. My price was discounted due to paying for full year at in advance vs by the visit. Price also covers the extermination of any household pests within that time period. Can expect the same service person on designated day/week of the month.
