+ -1 moreI called three companies for service call prices and approx. schedule. I decided to use Dan Billy based on this and other reviews here on Angies list. The technician (Thomas) called me to ask if I was available for an earlier day and time. After a struggle to remove the oven from wall, which was due to an improper original install, he diagnosed the problem. After explaining all my options(some parts are discontinued), he proceded to reinstall the oven correctly and charged me a price that was less than the quoted price. Great price and great service from a very knowlegable professional!

+ -1 moreOur dryer had been squealing for a few days. Called Dan Billy Service on my lunch hour - asked which day he could come in the afternoon so I'd only have to take a half day off work. He asked what time I got out of work - 4:30 - so he had me call when I got home and he came out the same day! He thought knew what the problem was but checked other things to be sure. He was right - it was the idler pulley. Then he also looked at my dehumidifier and made a simple repair for no extra charge. Very polite and considerate. I will definitely use this service again and recommend to friends.

+ -1 moreHe came the same day I called him. He was really great and friendly. The price was good. He could have charged more, but he showed me a way to fix my problem without buying expensive parts. I appreciate the option.
Description of Work: My washer would stop at the end of the cycle with water filled in the basin, and he was able to repair it so the water would drain and enter the spin cycle.

Description of Work: He repaired my refrigerator and examined my range. He repaired the fridge in about 10 minutes. However, he told me that the cost to repair the range would run between $300 and $500. The range was 12 years old, two of the four coils no longer worked and the oven would not turn on. He said the electronic controls would need to be replaced. He said that he could repair it and it might last 5 years or 5 months, He encouraged me to price new ranges before i decided to fix the old one. Then, I questioned hem about buying a new air conditioner because he does that kind of work, too. When he found out there was nothing wrong with my old one, he said, you know you only use an air conditioner on average 60 days a year. It will take you 10-15 years to get your money back on a new, energy efficient air conditioner. I am so impressed that he didn't just fix the stove and sell me an air conditioner. He was truly thinking of my situation. I appreciated his integrity so much!

+ 0 moreHe quickly found the dishwasher problem and also the microwave problem. He was here the same day we called him and was very pleasant and professional. I don't remember what he charged, but not unhappy with it.
Description of Work: Called him twice - once for a dishwasher which would not drain and again for a microwave oven which was beyond repair.
