We contacted Jason on a Friday, he came out to the house on a Saturday and talked with us in detail about what could be done as far as remodeling, and he had an estimate to us by Sunday. He was so pleasant to work with, super quick, and very flexible. We don't know much about construction, but he was very patient in explaining our options to us. Unfortunately, our bid on teh house wasn't accepted so Jason didn't get to do the remodeling, but we would have hired him in a heartbeat based on our experiences with him.

I met with someone who provided me with a rough quote for a project I needed done. He told me we would have a written quote emailed to us within 2 weeks. We waited patiently and 4 weeks later still no written quote. My wife and I both tried to reach out to see if everything was still on track and we never heard a word back from them. Really disappointing that we never heard back from them.

This was the second bathroom job we had done by Michigan Building and Design, and it went great just like the first one. They are very considerate, and easy to work with. It was a pleasure to have them as contractors, and I have recommended them to several people I know. We are looking forward to having them remodel our kitchen this fall.

Jason (owner) and Bryan were extremely helpful and beneficial to the design and implementation of the demolition and reconstruction of my bathrooms. They were always on time and kept the premises clean as possible. My dog loved them both and wants them back. Their work was impeccable built first class to industry standards. They were considerate of my budget and worked within it all the while delivering a superior product. Anyone considering a kitchen or bath remodel should call them first and not wait on the rest.

My wife and I recently bought a house and wanted to remodel the kitchen and upstairs bathroom immediately. After beginning the kitchen, we realized we would not have enough time to complete both projects before we wanted to move in. I also did not feel comfortable taking on the shower and the extensive plumbing job to rearrange the bathroom layout. After calling Jason, he arrived exactly when he said he would for the estimate and emailed us the quote in a timely manner. We were hoping to save money, so we asked if we could do some of the work ourselves. He was extremely open to working with us and asked us how much we were looking to spend. He then sent back a detailed list of the tasks we could complete to get it within our budget. We were very grateful, as we have heard a lot of stories of contractors getting annoyed with do-it-yourselfers. He was not that way at all. We received quotes from a couple other contractors, one of which was ludicrously expensive (and she didn't respond to my email when I asked if we could get it within our budget). Jason was extremely realistic and seemed to understand exactly what we wanted and that we did have a budget. He was also happy to add on the work of drywalling the kitchen after he had already begun work on the bathroom. I thought his price for this additional work was very fair and he did a great job. He began work only a few days after we agreed on the plan. He was always there when he said he would be and always informed us when others would be in our house. If we were there, he introduced everyone to us. He always let us know enough in advance when he needed materials selected and recommended places to shop. He communicated constantly and cleared any decisions or changes to the plan with us before proceeding. He was also very helpful in recommending nice touches that were within our budget. He has a very good eye for design. And most importantly, the finished work was excellent. The bathroom came out exactly as we wanted it without surprises. The workmanship was top notch and we are completely satisfied. We really can't imagine it coming out any better if we had spent twice as much. We did not have any complaints, but I am confident he would've done whatever was necessary and reasonable to make us happy. He also offered to place the order for our vanity cabinet for us because the manufacturer does not accept orders directly from customers. Since we did not have a car large enough to transport it, he delivered it to our house and helped me move it inside. All after the job was finished and we had already paid him. He is the only number I will call when I need work in the future.

Jason and his team did a great job for a fair price. He was very accommodating with my work schedule and needing to get my house tenant ready. Jason was very professional and a pleasure to work with. My new bathroom looks great!

Bathroom remodeling job went very well and the end results are excellent. Jason and Brian did a really great job on the ceramic tile and bathroom hardware installation. Work was done for the expected cost and completed on time.

Jason Parent sourced affordable, high quality doors within budget. He did a great job installing them while taking extra care to protect the other items/surfaces in the house. Very impressed. Have employed Michigan Building and Design for other efforts and would highly recommend to others. Always conscientious and dependable.

His professional advice and counsel were critical to working through the short term emergency and planning the redesign of the bathroom after major problems with heat in the slab floor . His ideas translated into a much more efficient and effective use of the space. He provide sourcing and material suggestions that save time and money. He was thorough, detailed oriented. Jason went above and beyond expectation. In one instance, going out of his way to ensure a quality rebuild of the foundation (where other suggested short cuts). He coped with numerous surprises that older homes present and solved them effectively. He can be trusted to provide high quality workmanship. Outstanding end result.

We started by interviewing three contractors from Angie's List. Jason Parent gave us a great quote and listened from the moment he walked into our house. Other contractors didn't even want to quote a pocket door. He listened to what we wanted an quoted the price with and/ without the pocket door because I couldn't make up my mind yet. We called his references and they raved about him! We set up to buy the sink, mirror, lighting, fan, and tile. All other materials and labor was provided by the company. That worked great for me, because I am very particular about what I want. I was able to get the tile and sink I wanted for the perfect look. The tub and toilet were provided by Jason and were great quality. So, how did it go... The sink I ordered was late. He was extremely flexible and was able to delay starting for a few weeks. Then we had company coming and he was able to work with us again. Then the day before he was to start, our upstairs air conditioner leaked and we had a large section of plaster fall into our house. He walked in and was able to also fix our ceiling. The house is old and has plaster. He offered us two options to fix it and even went to find someone to do the plaster. ... you can not even tell the ceiling has been fixed... AMAZING!!!!!!!. It was great to work with Jason. We paid 1/2 upfront and the rest when he was finished. Everything looks great and we love the bathroom. He was able to accommodate our tweaks and fix my ceiling (looks like nothing happened). When the demolition cracked the wall in the hall, he fixed that too and repainted the entire hallway.

Jason and his team arrived early each morning and worked continuously throughout the day. He was able to tell me what tasks would be completed and when. I was able to see the progress each day. I was especially appreciate the prep work done to protect the other areas of my home. There were a few minor things that I pointed out and they addressed them immediately. I highly recommend Michigan Building and Design to anyone looking for a quality job at an affordable cost.

Jason responded to our request for quote promptly and came out the next day to see and discuss the project. His bid was competitive and he worked closely with us to ensure the job came out as we expected.

We were looking to have our bathroom remodeled. Jason was friendly, professional, and responsive in providing an estimate. He also seemed very knowledgable. Although his quote was reasonable, it was a little higher than the company we selected. But, I would not hesitate to consider Michigan Building and Design for our next project.

Overall it was worth every penny spent and would do it again with Michigan Building and design. My family was not uncomfortable during the construction, because Jason company ensured at the end of the day our needs were met.
