It went fine. He is a very nice man, great to work with. He is flexible and keeps me informed.

I am writing this as they are just about to leave the property, and I have EXTREMELY pleased with the manner in which the entire job was handled. - Also, to be honest, I don't like giving all "A"'s, but I really could not find any fault in any category posted above and they greatly exceeded what I would consider normal expectations. To start, Jeremy came out and provided a detailed quote, which actually a little higher than the final bill ( a pleasant surprise). They arrived on time, and even though the job took a little longer than they expected, they stayed to make sure we were pleased and the job was done professionally. They also did not try to sell us additional services, and they even offered advice as to how we can do some of what we needed by ourselves if we so choice to do so, and provided a detailed maintenance explanation of how to care for the work they provided. One of the things I really liked was Jeremy, who provided the original quote, was on hand to perform the original services that we had spoken about the day he provided the quote, we removed any confusion which may have occurred otherwise. I have to say, they were also extremely honest. For instance, the original quote was set for 20 Yards of Mulch. But since they only used 18 Yards, they discounted the original bill (to be honest, I never would have known the difference if they hadn't said anything). They also fixed the "pop-up" drain heads a different company had installed last year incorrectly (see my other review). The job was to dig up the heads and reinstall them a little higher. The quote seemed reasonable, but because the job was more simple than they had originally thought, they decided to charge us ZERO for that part of the labor. The crew consisted of about 6 young men probably in their mid twenties. All clean (at least when they start) and appropriately dressed for ground work, all pleasant and happy to take the time to explain what they were doing and how to care for the yard after they left. They left the grounds clean and picked up after they left. I have already asked them to quote several other jobs that I will need to be completed before the fall. I will recomend these guys to everyone I know.

I will follow their advice and try to salvage lawn.

They did a good job. I would use them again. The responsiveness was not great for them. They were a bit negative on that note. Their price was fine and their professionalism was great but with this type of company, they are so busy in the summer and it is not like they have a home office with people answering the phone so I think that when they are actually doing the work, it is hard to get a hold of them and stuff like that.

The service was good. The work was good, the people were extremely polite, and the only problem that I had, was that they seemed like a small company, and their folks were in the field all the time doing yard work, and so it was hard to get in touch with them at times. They yard was pretty well kept. They came the day they said they would.

the owner manu is very professional and responsive. last year, his price quote for our lawn cuts was very fair and the service was reliable and timely throughout the season. We are currently talking with him about a separate landscaping project ( an additional, modestly priced parking spot near our garage) and feel confident that any project we might do with him will be handled well and with integrity. He gave us several options and encouraged us to get bids on alternative methods that he does not offer in case we might prefer them. We chose this company last year due to angiest list recommendations and are very satisfied.

If ever a company exemplified the motto "The customer is always right," it is this company. My every wish, my every whim was treated with the utmost responsiveness.

I think they did a really good job because I had a ton of leaves and they picked it all up and took it all away. I was very happy with it. They got it all so I'm about as happy as you can get. They came and did what I wanted them to do. I was happy to pay it. I was just happy to get it done.

The guy is good (period). Treats you with respect and listens to you. Quite knowledgeable and responsive. Was quite a pleasure to meet a service provider who is really interested in customer satisfaction - not just the money. Bends over backwards to accommodate your wishes. Hope I can find others with such a positive attitude - thanks Manu! Enjoy NZ!! So far - it looks great. Will followup in spring/summer with an update here...

We contacted Grow Earth because of all the great reviews and we wanted to work with one company that could take care of all our needs. Our house was newly built and was a clean slate. We began the process by working with the landscape designer Robert Marzolf who came to our house several times to discuss what we wanted, take measurements, and to go over the final design. He was able to take what we wanted and work within our budget to create a very appealing landscape design. He also created a patio design that was interesting yet functional because of our sloping back yard. Manu took the information from the designer to create the estimate and timeline. He informed us that we would probably be one of the last clients of the year, but he was able to fit us in which we were grateful for. There was some heavy periods of rain and Manu always kept us up to date as to the anticipated start date. Once his team began work, they were very efficient and worked quickly for the size of project. The landscape turned out exactly like the design and I felt that his crew was very easy to work with when we had any concerns or questions. They also did a thorough job of cleaning up. There was a couple small projects that have to be finished in the spring due to the cold weather setting in, but we are happy with everything that has been completed thus far. They did an excellent job and we will be able to enjoy our new landscape and patio for years to come!!

Finding a reliable lawn care service is very difficult. Out of the many people I have tried, Grow Earth was responsive, professional and reasonably priced. They consistently cut my lawn to perfection and edged as necessary this season. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a lawn service. When I re-do my landscaping next spring - I'll be giving them a call. Thanks! -Rich

My lawn is mowed to my satisfaction every Thursday without fail. They do a really good job.

I did not use providers service. I did the work myself.

I contacted Grow Earth based on all the great reveiws I ready, especially about the owner being prompt in communication and easy to work with. Manu was very courteous to talk to over the phone, however follow-up in getting a quote was not that great. To be fair to him, he told me upfront they were very busy at the time, and if they performed the service it would probably be a while before they could schedule me in. I said this was fine, and believe I was very compromising and compliant throughout. The work I needed done was to a postage-size of a front yard, at max 35ft x 40ft. I prepared sketches of the yard indicating current state and what I needed done to facilitiate Manu doing an estimate without me present (to allow for accomodating the estimation in his busy schedule), and e-mailed these to him on May7th. He told me he would check out my yard the next day, but was unable to due to his schedule - fine. I did not get an estimate back from him until May 22nd, in the form of the following text on my cell phone: "You are looking at a price range of 1900-2200 at most". That was it, no more detail, and I had to send two reminders prior to receiving that text. My summation is he didn't want the business, but could not tell me so. The delays in getting a very simple estimate and what I felt was an extremely high price for a relatively simple and fast job with not too much material needed indicated disinterest to me. I based my price expectation on other quotes and also what other customers of Grow Earth stated on Angie's List for very similar work and similar-sized jobs. It is not up to me to dictate pricing of course, but I felt it was not reasonable at all. I also do not feel there was a great deal of professionalism on Grow Earth's part, taking 3 weeks to deliver a simple quote in the form of a one-line text is not the normal expectation of a service vendor (professionally I hire a lot of service vendors and would never do business with someone who performs like this). I have indicated I would hire this provider in the future, which may surprise you. I have this opinion based on what other members have experienced and my belief that anyone deserves second chances, and anyone can have a bad day.

Manu and his team were fantastic! First, he was very good at getting back to me, and always kept me apprised of his schedule and any delays due to weather. I do appreciate the fact that if he didn't call, he would at least send a text. While my job was small, a typical Dearborn postage stamp yard, they were happy to do the job, the few people that actually returned my calls, didn't want to take on a small job. They tore all the old sod up and hauled it away, re-graded the back yard and laid new sod. They even patched a couple spots in my front yard with some left over sod they had! They also took time to clean up after they finished the job, which I appreciated. I feel I paid a very fair price, and the work was good quality, I would not hesitate to recommend Manu and his team to anyone.

Crew arrived when they promised and had the yard looking great by the time they left! The overall experience was one in which I received fantastic customer service, I really felt as though the crew did a good job. The estimate was quick and pricing is competitive! Would recommend their work to friends and family.

Did a good job. I showed the men what I wanted trimmed and weeded, and they performed the work well. They asked me to check their work afterwards, which I did, and found that they had missed somethings. However, they went back and completed the additional parts that they had missed with curtesy and efficiency. They were polite and behaved responsibly.

They were very professional and prompt. One of their machines broke down causing a slight delay (they rented one to cover) but they were up front about it and still got the job done quickly and well. I would definitely hire them again. grass still looks amazing.

"manu" the guy running the job was like "we'll start the job in the begining of June". It rained alot in June so he didn't get around to spraying weed killer on my weed infested lawn till about the beginning of July. My yard sat for almost a month with dead grass till the end of July to get the new sod. They didn't call and say "well here's the situation...". They just called the day before and did the job the next day. The grass still looks great 4 days later as I write this. Been watering 40 minutes a day with sprinklers. There is a hump that they didn't flatten out that they seemed to miss. I'm wishy washy about if i'd use their services again. I wish angies list gave this option.

I met with three landscapers before choosing Manu and Grow Earth. While they all seemed knowledgeable, easy to work with and reasonably priced, Manu still stood out above the rest. He was very professional and really listened when I explained my needs. The work was completed on time and within budget. When something unexpected came up after the job was complete, Manu came out immediately to correct the situation. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

I have worked with them in the past and Manu (the owner) and his team are amazing. He is very responsive and always checks in to see if the work was done to my satisfaction, and offering to come back if something was not done. He is very professional and i would highly recommend using Grow Earth for all of your lawn care needs.

Everything went very well. Before starting the sod work, Manu (the owner of GrowEarth) called me several times to keep me up to date on when the work would begin. Once the sod was planted, Manu personally visited my home to take care of watering every day that rain didn't take care of it for us. ( I especially appreciate that because my health makes it virtually impossible to take care of watering and other yard work myself. ) The sod is well established now and looks great! Manu's mowers also have done a fine job. The lawn looks much better now than when done by any of the several other companies I've hired to that job in the past. I couldn't be happier with each job.

Working with Manu is great, but warning: he is busy! His crew is professional, friendly, and work hard. Manu himself is knowledgable, extremely professional and focused on good customer service.

I would not recommend this vendor as he had not even the common courtesy to take 30 seconds out of his day to respond to my email request for information. If he cannot afford such a simple courtesy would you really want him trudging through your home? I certainly would not. There was NO phone calls and NO emails sent.

Very competitive price and excellent service. Work was performed promptly and on time. I highly recommend them for all landscaping needs, and will definitely use their service in the future.
