Description of Work: I made a call asking for service and I was turned down for service simply because I live in Detroit. He said they do not like servicing Detroit. Not that they don't come here or that it's too far, but that they don't "like" Detroit. That is discriminatory and I feel that they were being prejudiced towards me because of where I live.

Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal for an exterior door installation. He messaged me and said he does not service my area. His profile shows he services portions of Macomb, but I feel as if he should be more specific.

Description of Work: Frank removed and replaced paneling in the basement and repaired chipped ceiling plaster in the dining room. We were very pleased with the quality of both jobs and the clean up.

Description of Work: This man works out of his home and lives nearby, but he still charged me $65.00 to come to my house for an estimate. He only brought with him a tape measure and a clip board with flyers asking for future business (other repairs I would need in my house) He said it would be cheaper for me if I gave him a list of all the things I need repaired at one time. I only called him for a ceiling repair job. I had a few nail pops in the ceiling of my family room and a crack in the corner. He gave me a price of $850.00 to patch the pops and fill in the crack. That price did not include painting over the "Band-Aids" he offered to leave as a temporary fix. He said he did not paint and I would have to hire someone else to do that work. He then pretended to measure the nail pops with his measuring tape, and when he couldn't think of anything else to do within the 10 minutes he was there, he pulled out his phone to show me "2" jobs he did. There were no close ups of either of the 2 plastering job so all I saw was a big white patch over yellow paint. "Not Pretty!" I asked him about his credentials and he told me his dad taught him everything he knows. No license or paperwork to confirm he was legit. I would never recommend this man to anyone and I wish I had stopped payment on my $65 dollar check!!!!

Description of Work: I misunderstood what the deal was. I needed a small job which entailed a little bit of electrical, a little bit of cabinetry and a little bit of HVAC. Mr Thomas could do the cabinetry, but I need an electrician for that part. I decided it would be better for me to go with someone who can take care of it all in one go. Mr. Thomas was very prompt in his responses and I would contact him again for something specific to his expertise.

Description of Work: Patch walls - cracks are back again - only put in 15 horus of work but quoted 3 days

Description of Work: The job involved skim coating drywall in room approximately 12 X 12. The surface of the drywall had been damaged when removing old wall paper. Mr. Thomas arrived when scheduled and did very nice work. Painting the repaired surface was a breeze and the walls look great. We were very satisfied.

Description of Work: Frank helped diagnose a water leak. It should be the responsibility of the roofing company, so he did not fix it, but he helped demonstrate where the leak started.

Description of Work: Mr. Thomas replied to my request for service the same day I contacted him. After explaining the problem I was having with my sliding bedroom mirror door and the opening and closing of my back door,he gave me a estimate of cost .We set up an appointment that was convenient for me within a specific time period.Mr.Thomas was very professional, called to confirm before coming out, and punctual' He replaced the rollers and adjusted my mirror door. The doors are back on track& glide back and forth with little effort. He also adjusted back security door, replaced weather stripping to ensure proper opening & closing of door without difficulty. He also noticed a slight problem with my side door and made an adjustment on it without additional charge.Mr.Thomas is very knowledgeable of his craft. I would definitely recommend to others.

Description of Work: replaced 4 walls of dry wall in a small office after I tore the room down to the studs. Thomas was great, punctual, professional. He did not play music or smoke. Ask for a week to do the work and finished in 3 days.
