This week I am going to change over to another company. I am very dissatisfied. I am just very unhappy with them. I have been with them a long time but they screwed me around this time. They went from $135 to $168 on the last bill. I have had all kind of issues with Comcast. Primarily, they quoted me one price to do something. When I called to have it completed, they raised the price and added shipping charges. I don't need that.

We switch every couple of years to a lower price provide. We don't like Comcast. We shop for prices, and they give you a promotional price for a couple of years and if they don't renew, we jump to the other guys. We have done that for that past 6 years since we moved here. When you call on the phone, you are on hold for a long time before you get anybody. They are punctual. The person that came out was professional. He was a good gentleman.

We've been with them a couple of months now. Their internet service is much too slow, it could be faster. They are trying to make you frustrated enough to pay for higher speeds. The high speed should be a part of the package without nickel and dimeing you.

The service is consistent. We're disappointed about the package sizes and the ability to customize exactly what we use and we were definitely paying high for the things we use because we needed to get the higher packages in order to get the services that we needed. But, it's been little downtime. I would prefer if they would ask us when or tell us when we could upgrade equipment. Otherwise, we just have to remember to take in the rental equipment every couple of years to get upgrades when we know that models have changed but they haven't told us that. In general, it's okay. It's kind of like a fee. We get what we want but we pay a lot for it. They have consistent service, it's just that it's poorly bundled and overpriced, and the customer service, even though they are friendly, it's very difficult when trying to understand your bill and whether you should change your services, because they don't have all the information online. You have to talk to someone on the phone and it's not written out. I just went through this a couple of months ago trying to evaluate our current pricing package and because it's not written out easily, you have to just be on the phone. I was on the phone for about two hours with the customer service trying to understand and ask questions about lots of prices. So, I think they should be more visible, transparent with their pricing packages and give the tools online so that the customers can be independent without really relying on one person at Comcast, because if you didn't ask for a question or if you didn't have the information from that one person, that can affect your pricing. Whereas, if you spoke to someone else, they could have been more helpful.

They did not show up for appointments. My bill has been incorrect every month. I was charged for items I did not order. It took three weeks to get the cable working. Crew finally showed up but did not have correct equipment. Have spent hours on phone with them will probably change to WOW.

Immediately replaced cables. About a week later the cables were buried under the lawn by about 2 inches. They need to be buried deeper so they don't need replacement every few years.

Every time I make a phone call it takes about 3-4 hours over a couple days and 2-3 staff including management to get the situation straightened out....and then the 'audit department' essentially eliminates all changes. Very frustrating to have to restate the situation every time, with the staff essentially ignoring me, The only 'temporary' resolution is always with the management. The competition is becoming more attractive.
Description of Work: The billing department-this is an ongoing repetitive situation where a 'manager/supervisor' approves a rate adjustment, and about a month later, the 'audit department' increases the rate so that the bill is greater than the original amount.

there was a line wrapped around the waiting room for individuals picking up and returning cable boxes. There were only 2 individuals working the counter. It took forever. Thankfully so many people ended up walking out so the hour wait only lasted closer to 40 minutes.

They were going to charge 60 dollars but my wife complained because it was their equipment that failed and so they waived the charge. All we paid for was the shipping of the modems.

Comcast is a company that deliberately makes it very hard to get service if you need it. No on line reporting available, although if you have a problem there site tells you to check there site first for a reported outage. that would work if you had internet access. Or you could call, except you do not have phone. They also do not identify an outage map for you to check. you cannot log into your account from a competitors internet service as they do not recognize your ip address. They have always been difficult to work with but they are a monopoly, in areas they serve there is no competition so why should they even try. they lie about pricing and when you catch them, which is easy, they quickly give you a discount that is IF you can get to a representative.

We use Comcast, Roytal Oak for everything. In the background my wife said we will switched from the as soon as possible. They have come through with so many price increases, we were never notified. We bundled a lot of things together and everything is direct billed at a certain time, so it was being paid automatically at a certain price, only to start receiving letters from that we owed so much money. So when we finally talked to them they said yea, the price went up such and such a date. Why didn't you ever tell us? I has gone up to $220. Outrageous. We thought even when we originally bundled it it was at $150 something, which was to me expensive, but then x number of months later we were receiving letters that it was up over $200. We didn't find out until after x number of months and they said hey you fell behind in your payment what's happening? We are going to shut off all of the services. We have computer, internet, TV, phone, everything. Make sure you have a running verbal dialogue with them from time to time concerning costs and billing.

I am pretty pleased with them. I got a bundled package for internet, phone and cable service from them. I know a lot of people that aren’t happy with Comcast, but I am happy with Comcast. I work from home, and everything stays pretty much the way that I want it, and I am not going to change it because I can usually get what I need from them. I pay my bill every month, but I do it online and it’s done automatically. Their responsiveness is good, and they come out when they say they would. I would continue to use them.

If I had another practical alternative I would never use this company. Earlier this year I had a nightmarish experience with their horrific customer service department--they had been overcharging me on my monthly bill for some time and refused to credit me--I still have not received rectification despite countless phone calls to "Stefan", a customer rep that is supposed to be the customer service guru for this area. He never answered my countless messages. Recently I had a service tech out that left without finishing the job and never returned. I had to make two phone calls and wait 48 hours before another tech could come out to finish the job--he admitted to me the first tech wasn't competent.

We have had no problems. The phone service has been reliable. The broadband has also been reliable. What more can I say? We make phone calls without worries, and the internet service works just fine. We have not had to make any service calls in our two years of Comcast service. This is a vast improvement over our experience with RCN in Somerville, Massachusetts, where our broadband went our constantly and we were constantly on the phone with tech support trying to figure out the problem.

They were easy to work with except when they put in the television downstairs they messed up the cable and they had to run the cable across the floor because they couldn't put it anywhere else. They kept sending people out and finally somebody fixed it.

Installation and service was satisfactory. The installers did a fine job and cleaned up their mess. We had to ask the installers to program the remotes that came with the digital cable boxes. The Comcast representatives attempted to leave without programing the remotes. A poor move on their part because it would have taken me hours to figure out how to program the remotes for the VCR, DVD, and TV. ASK THEM TO PROGRAM THE REMOTES FOR YOU; SAVE YOURSELF TIME!

The cost of $50 is a per-month fee based on a package we have with them that also includes digital cable TV. They have provided our internet service for 2-1/2 years. When the internet works, it works well. When it doesn't work, Comcast doesn't work well, at least not in our best interest. I have had intermittent outages that they just can't explain. They will not reimburse me for days that my internet connection doesn't work. When I request service, sometimes they don't show up, which is terrible considering I have taken time off of work to stay home and wait for them. When that happens, I am only offered a chance to reschedule the appointment. The last time they came to my house, I really felt the problem was the modem, and I begged the tech to replace it, but he refused and was very rude. After he left, I called Comcast to complain and they sent a new modem. It helped, but has not completely solved all the performance issues with my service.
