Dan did the electrical work in my house when I first bought it last year. I am having more work done on the house and needed more electrical work done. Dan came by the same day to give me the proposal. I gave him a down payment and he started the work today. Dan is courteous and professional, reasonable. I would recommend him to anyone who asked for an electrician. I would call him about different issues I was having in my house and he would give me his undivided attention. And a bonus: he loves my dogs and they love him. :)

Dan arrived timely and listened to my discription of the problem. He went right to the correct wall outlet popped off the cover and corrected the problem.

Since we bought the house we have had the circuit breaker flip because of too many things running on the same lines. I blew it off for about 4 years until the circuit breaker started making loud humming noises at times. The lightning storm we had recently also made us decide to have the house checked over because our garage lights keep turning on and off without us touching the switch. I made inquires into 4 electricians---all giving me a slightly different take on what needed to done. Their estimates were a bit out of my budget. I called The Power Company and Dan's estimate was much lower so we went with him. We are very happy with his friendly and thorough work!

I found Dan Candela via Angie's List, the same day that I signed up. A few days before this, my husband had hired an electrician, via a heating & cooling company, to install a bathroom fan/light. I speculated that because this electrican was working for an h&c company, we might be paying more for his services. After the fact, I learned that the hourly rate for this service was through-the-roof. We paid a BUNDLE to have a simple bathroom ceiling fan installed. Aside from that, the final tab was $200 OVER the highest end of his estimate. (the company did drop it back down to the estimate, after I contacted them by phone). Lesson learned on WHAT NOT TO DO. That experience caused me to seek out an independent electrician via Angie's List. Dan Candela was great. I can't say enough good things about him. He has lengthy experience as an electrician, was extremely prompt, called before coming to let me know he was on his way, each time. While working on our estimate, he told us up-front, what his hourly rate was. He upgraded our home's central electrical service the same week that I signed up with Angie's List. That was fast! My husband and I are avid do-it-yourselfers; but in this case, we wanted to hire a professional. I am thanking God that we did this! Dan found a serious problem with our main electrical line, on the outside of our house and had Consumer's Energy out to fix it within a half hour. This type of problem could have lead to an explosion and a fire, if not found and repaired. In spite of that delay, Dan had the entire job finished that day and for exactly the price that we were quoted. He was a pleasure to work with, efficient, and neat. When our local township sent an inspector over to take a look at his finished work, the inspector commented that Dan did a very neat job with the box and wiring. I did alert Dan to the fact that his contact phone # was incorrect on Angie's List, and that I had found him via a Google search. His number, on the invoice is: 616-874-5996. He also has a cell number. We will definitely be using his services again, whenever needed.

The owner of The Power Company did a very good and efficient job. He knew what he was doing and informed me about everything regarding to the cost of labor and materials. He is a member of Business Network International.

Had a problem with my master bathroom's electrical system. The power would go out, but there was no breaker tripped. Called at 2pm, and he was here by 5pm. He figured the problem was caused by the light fixture in the bathroom, which wasn't a problem as I had intended on replacing it. He was kind enough to replace the fixture and mount the new matching medicine cabinet for me.

Had him show up the previous day, and while we thought the light fixture was at fault, there was an additional problem. This time it was actually off when he was here (as it was an intermittent problem). He was then able to trace it down to a faulty "push-in" type of electrical splice connector. He replaced that, and the power in the master bath has worked wonderfully.

I called Dan the day before we were due to have a major winter storm. We had already purchased all of the supplies to install the generator switch, but hadn't gotten around to finding someone to do it and I was worried we were going to lose power. My husband and I both work from home so losing power isn't ideal. Dan said he could come out the next morning at 9am and he showed up right on time - took two hours to wire up the switch and move the breakers and everything worked great! He was very courteous and dealt with our three big dogs very nicely. Of course, we didn't lose power that week, but it's such a nice feeling to know we're ready if it does happen.

He is fantastic, nice, prompt, and thorough. I would highly recommend him for any electrical job. Cost includes materials.
