Description of Work: I CALLED AND SPOKE TO MARK VANDERHYDE. WE HAD A SUMP PUMP PUT IN WHEN OUR HOUSE WAS BUILT, BUT THE BUILDER NEVER HOOKED IT UP. WE HAD BEEN PUMPING WATER OUT OF OUR BASEMENT FOR DAYS, HOSES RUNNING UP OUR STAIRS TO THE OUTSIDE. IT WAS AWFUL!! MARK CAME OUT RIGHT AWAY, LOOKED AT THE PROBLEM, AND TOLD US OUR OPTIONS. WITHIN A HOUR HE WAS FAST AT WORK HOOKING UP THE SUMP PUMP.THIS WAS NO EASY TASK BECAUSE WE HAD ONLY ONE WAY TO TAKE IT OUT, AFTER A FEW HOURS THE JOB WAS COMPLETED. I COULDNT BE MORE HAPPY. MY HUSBAND WORKED SIDE BY SIDE WITH HIM, WHICH WE APPRECIATED BECAUSE WE REALLY LIKE TO SEE FIRST HAND WHATS GOING ON. HE DID A GREAT JOB. THE NEXT DAY WE HAD A SMALL LEAK WHICH WE CALLED MARK AND HE CAME RIGHT OUT A FIXED THAT. THIS WAS AFTER HOURS (NIGHT TIME) WHEN HE INSTALLED THE SUMP PUMP SO WE WERE VERY GREATFUL. MARK DID A GREAT JOB, WE WERE VERY PLEASED AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND G.R.METRO PLUMBING TO ANYONE.!!

 + -1 moreMark returned my call right away and came over the next day. Courteous and professional. The price was higher than I expected, but Mark offered a couple ways to save money and I took advantage of it. He did the work the following Monday. Showed up on time and went to work. Work was completed in the estimated time frame. Mark showed me what work he did, including tidying up a couple of existing things, and connecting my dryer to the gas line and vent. Everything worked great. I would recommend Mark and GR Metro Plumbing to anyone.
Description of Work: I just bought a home and needed my washer and dryer connected, including running new water lines, install a laundry sink, and run the water line to my refrigerator.

 + -1 moreMark came over right when he said he would and inspected every repair item and the only thing that really needed fixing by him was the kitchen sink. The other two things he gave me things that I need to do and how to do it. I took a little less than an hour to reroute the drain configuration. Mark is very professional and even cleaned up after he was done. I would definitely recommend using him.
Description of Work: fixed the drain under the sink, looked at another drain issue and looked at my slow draining toliet

 + -1 moreThis was originally scheduled for Tuesday, 9/22 when Mark replaced the wax seal, pulled out the old bathroom faucet and found that the sink was rotted. He installed a new sink later in the day. He also installed new pipe and a cut off valve for the outside spigot. He also replaced the kitchen faucet. My wife talked to him about the tub and he found that the fixture was old and leaking. We scheduled for Friday to do that. After using the new faucet that we had bought, my wife decided she didn't like that one and bought a brand new one Friday. She called Mark and asked if he could do that as well, which he happily agreed to. All work was done rapidly and professionally. Mark is a very friendly individual and extremely knowledgeable. He was prompt for both appointments.
Description of Work: Replaced bathroom faucet, installed new bathroom sink, installed new outside spigot, replaced wax seal on toilet, replaced shower/tub fixture.

 + -1 moreOur kitchen sink drain pipes were improperly installed when the house was built. This caused periodic separation of the pipes and water flooding into the kitchen and basement. We tried to fix it ourselves by reseating and tightening the joints, but because the pipe was the wrong size, our fixes did not work. The plumber assessed situation quickly, replaced two old sections of pipe with properly sized sections, tested the new pipe, cleaned up and prepared the bill in less than one hour total.
Description of Work: The plumber replaced two sections of leaky pipe under our kitchen sink.

 + 0 moreExcellent, called early morning to see about getting work completed and he showed up that afternoon. He was professional, clean, timely and friendly. I did not realize that my drain to my sink was plugged and he cleaned that out as well as the sewer pipe.

 + -1 moreAsked Mark for a quote on a major re-plumbing job. He provided that, then contacted me several times to ask if I had questions, was I ready to have the work scheduled. (Others have not bothered to provide a quote, so this is a refreshing change.) Emergency: Old shower plumbing, needed repair. E-mailed Mark. He called back, told me when he would be by (hid keys for him). He replaced the faucet cartridge, left the receipt on the tub and re-hid the keys. No headaches or heartburn.
Description of Work: Replace cartridge in a faucet; it will now turn off.
