Russell Hastings is an honest and up front professional. Our home is sinking and we were introduced to Precision Foundation Systems by another contractor. Mr. Hastings came to our home, informed us what was happening, how it could be repaired and suggested we call in 2 structural engineers to provide us with a plan. We did that and called Mr. Hastings who came to our home, reviewed the plan and within 2 or 3 weeks presented us with a bid for services. We are now reviewing the bid and talking with our engineer as well as other sources available to us. Based upon our interaction with Mr. Hastings, we have a favorable opinion of his company. We need more time and input before we hire him.

The helical piers were outside installation requiring 6 foot deep trenches about 6 feet wide around 2 rooms. He was exceptionally careful with the entire job, around wires, sprinkler system, walls, and landscaping. He did a very thorough job -- knows his stuff exceptionally well. Took care to compact the ground around the walls for several hours. tarped the area to assure it was dry while work was in progress. Brought in several yards of topsoil to regrade landscaped area dug up during project work. Carbon-kevlar strapping was a "re-do" from a different contractor. Russ brought in the manufacturer of the Fortress Strapping business to evaluate previous work done and the repair necessary to make the walls structurally sound. He also insured the foundation was tied into the house frame with 90 degree steel bars. He was "on the job," supervised his crew, only came to the job when the steel helical piers were in his warehouse so work could progress quickly as long as it was dry. I trust Russ to do anything with a foundation that needs to be done. I also had him inspect a new home's basement to insure it was safe and stable. He is the best in the foundation business.
