Neto's Drywall & Plaster LLC

Steve and his two man crew arrived at 10 a.m. and went right to work putting down tarps and hanging plastic drop cloths to contain the mess from removing the bad drywall and old wallboard compound. Replacement drywall was installed with screws instead of nails. All seams were then taped and mudded. Steve and his crew specialize in no-sanding repairs, and they mix their own wallboard compound. Three or four coats of quick drying drywall compound were applied and repairs were completed. They cleaned up and were gone by about 7 pm, so everything was done in about 9 hours. They did an excellent job.

I needed some work on my drywall taping and took advantage of a timely deal. I didn't know there was a no sanding application so I was pleased about that. They did a good job, cleaned up after themselves. I got detailed instructions regarding the necessity to prime with an oil based primer. The job ran slightly over time so there was a small upcharge from the original estimate. Steve was professional and thorough.

The space was left clean. Excellent workmanship.

The gentlemen was very professional. He provided an estimate. To be short and to the point; I didn't have them perform the work as I thought the cost for the amount of work to be performed was over-inflated. The gentlemen wrote me back and informed me that they specialize in dust-free work. I understand that but for $800 plus? I did the work myself with a $20 dollar dust-free attachment for my shop vac. All and all I spent $45 in materials and 3 hours of my time. No dust, withstanding the test of time and looks professionally completed.

They did very quality work. They're neat and get the area clean. They're very conscientious of the home.

He will come back again for more work in a month or so.

I did not realize when I purchased the deal that I was out of state. They contacted me the next day to inquire where I was located. They were very helpful in telling me to contact Angie’s List directly to get a refund.

The were very puctual and professional. The work they did was good and pricing was fair. The only negative was I did have to do a litle sanding touch up before I could paint.

The quality of the work was very good and it was an extensive job. I had no idea how much work was involved and it ended up being a 14 hour job so I did have to pay a lot more than I anticipated. Three men were here doing the work and they did high quality work. They were on time for the appointment.

Quality work. Took longer than expected to get them over to the house but it was a small job that they fit in to their work schedule.

This was a great transaction. They repaired the plaster ceiling in the living room and master. They also repaired cracks in dry walled ceiling in kitchen and a hallway wall. Really well done.

Roland & Steve arrived promptly at quoted time. Roland completed the work: A large crack in kitchen ceiling plaster which was caused by an item in the attic which had fallen down, as well as multiple gouges in a hallway caused by a wheelchair scraping against the wall plaster. Work was completed over a period of approximately 5 hours. The process that was used caused NO plaster dust in the air or on the ground, as the compound material did not have to be sanded (it chemically set with heat). There was no odor as well. Workmen were cordial and conscientious and did a fine job. Both seemed to have a lot of experience in the field of plaster repair - something that might be considered a bit of an art in modern times. Price was right, and was part of an Angie's List "Big Deal."

Overall everything went very well. The job was complicated, especially the light shelves, and everything was done with a minimum number of cuts. I was skeptical of the 'no sand' process but that worked out very well. There was no sanding, and therefore no dust, and the finish was excellent. It was obvious that they knew what they were doing. There was a miscommunication on another job that we asked them to include in the quote. They didn't quote it and didn't follow up with an additional quote. A little annoying, but it wouldn't stop me from using them again. They do very nice work.

Steve did a great job. He filled the large crack in both sides of the wall and a smaller crack near the large one. The beam in the kitchen looks great. He worked quickly, but thoroughly and cleaned up after.

It went fine! They really are dustless! There was absolutely no dust after they finished. If you have to have a repair done and you need it done without all the leftover mess, USE THEM. This was the first time I had used them, and I would use them again in the future as well as recommend them to others.

It went very well. The guys were extremely nice and the work was outstanding.

They have a system that they say requires no sanding but after they left I had to go around the room and sand to make sure the walls were ready for primer. My unsderstanding was the walls would be ready to prime when they finishaed and they weren't. They were short a piece of drywall so it was the last piece to install and when I went around the room every screw on this piece looked like it was a nail popping out of the drywall. I assume they just didn't scrape it flat while mudding and were in a hurry to leave. I have a closet in this room and because they thought I was installing doors and trim they didn't finish the edges where they walls meet the closet. They did finish they inside closet edge which you would never see.

All in all we're okay with the final project. Steve Neto was friendly and professional. He showed up on time every day and was responsive via phone/email. He offered a quote quickly and was able to start the work within a few days, which was good because we had some framing to do. He ended up calling on Sunday to ask if he could start 2 days earlier, which presented an issue because we had framing work to be done beforehand, but we were anxious to have the work done. See review on Frank Thomas. So, Neto's came to do the demo work and then allow Frank to do the framing. Neto's tore down a section that we hadn't planned on him tearing down which resulted in more framing that was needed. In the end we ended up spending a few hundred dollars more than we planned, nearly 15 percent more. Not happy about that. Steve Neto was not knowledgeable about insulation so my husband had to educate him on why we should use R-13 over a different type. Then my husband had to spend an evening properly installing it and nailing it to the frames. Neto's team just stuffed it in, creating no real barrier, and in areas where they ran low they cut and spread it thin, like around the windows, which is not correct. Finally, when the project was done, they left the room a mess. They used tarps on my carpets, but didn't shop vac afterwards, so now I have to do it. There is tons of scrap, drywall dust and debris. It's a messy job and I expect contractors to leave the place clean. They also told me it would be primer ready and no sanding would be needed, but there are some small sections that we'll have to sand before painting. The new drywall looks good and its definitely an improvement over the old plaster walls, but my husband had to watch over them every step of the way, and thankfully he knows what's right and wrong with drywall installation; I was clueless and wouldn't have been able to point out the errors along the way. I do think the original quote was fair and I would recommend Steve, but I recommend you be at home and check-in on the work throughout..

Steve came out within a coup;e days of my call for the estimate and e-mailed the estimate. The job took two days with one worker here most of the time. the damage was more extensive in one room the expected so cost was a little more than the estimate. they did a good job and cleaned up when finished.

The services worked out fine and he did a good job. He was very polite, on time and he did what he was supposed to do. He cleaned up and it did not cost a lot. The scheduling was good and I would use them again.

I sent this provider a message through Angie's list on 9/15/13 asking them to contact me in regards to a small drywall repair. After a few weeks and having not heard from this provider, I phoned and left a voice mail message around the first of October. The recording stated that the contractor was out of town, but would be back the next day (on a Monday) and would return calls. Again, I did not hear from them. As a common courtesy, even if they are not interested in taking small job, they should at least contact the customer to say so.

I got two bids for ceiling repair work and painting that we needed done before we listed our home for sale. I thought Steve?s estimate was a little high, but the second guy declined to do the work because he didn?t think he could do it justice. He also thought Steve?s price was fair for the amount of work required. That was all I needed to convince me to go with Neto?s Drywall and Plaster. The only issue was that Neto?s is in high demand, so we had to wait several weeks. Steve and Roland were meticulous in preparing the work site, completing the work and cleaning up. The job took over three days and it was in the heart of our home. They tried to lessen the inconvenience as much as possible, though. The outcome could not have been more perfect. We have already recommended Neto?s to others.

They were okay. The service that they provided for me was fine. You can still see the work they did under the paint. They sold me some other stuff while they were here. The price I paid, probably doubled. I can still see the patch beneath the paint.

He gave us a detailed quote on taking down our ceilings because of the popcorn that was applied in the 80's, and installing new 1/2inch. drywall and mudding it. The quote was for 3 large rooms, and some repair in the walls of one of those rooms. His knowledge of how to approach this was great! We had a quote from another highly rated Angies List provider, but they wanted to only cover the popcorn up with 1/2 drywall. With an old leak in one of the rooms, and the fact that we'd lose 1/2 of ceiling, we went with Mr. Neto.
