I do not usually write reviews, but this company is TERRIBLE. I had so many issues with them, I do not even know where to start. First, I scheduled an appointment and it was almost 3 weeks out--okay, it is spring. The day of my appointment they called to say they would be late but then NEVER SHOWED UP. I had to call their office several times the next few days and they did not even know why the window cleaners never showed up. They said they could not get me back on the schedule for over 2 weeks! I already had waited almost 3 weeks. I insisted on an earlier date and they found a spot for me in 1.5 weeks. The actual window cleaning service was not good. They missed several of my windows entirely and several windows looked terrible. And the completely forgot my outside lights! I had to call a few times just to get back on their "touch up"schedule. They then called me and moved that appointment. The touch ups guys then show up when I was not home (they said I did not need to be home since they knew what to do as I had repeatedly told them over the phone). But then they had no idea what to do (talked to my son who did not know all the issues). THEN THEY JUST LEFT WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING!!! I called the office and they did not know what the confusion was, as they said the work order listed what was to be done. They rescheduled yet another time with me for touch ups and were supposed to be here over 60 minutes ago. This is so ridiculous! Having your window cleaned should not be this difficult. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN AND I SUGGEST YOU SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE AND DO NOT EITHER.

The cost to the exterior only is about $100 total and I have 18 windows. They are very efficient, polite, neat and reasonable. I used them for eight years. I usually do it twice a year. I am now down to once-a-year just for cost saving for myself. I just do it every spring.

They gave me an estimate over the phone of $70, with the understanding that they would walk around the house when they arrived and recount the windows. If the window count was higher than the estimate they would notify me before they started. The phone estimate was later confirmed by an email. They arrived promptly and started work without saying anything. Therefore, I assumed that the estimate was correct. When they were packing to leave, my wife asked them about the invoice and the price. They said the price would be about $70. To my surprise a few days later they sent me an invoice for $150! I called and they explained to me that I had 38 window panes instead of the 17 the estimate was based on. There is no way that I have 38 panes of windows. They are going to come out next week and recount the windows. They did not come out and recount the window panes. I called them and left a voice mail but they did not call me back. Two weeks after I left the message, they called back and I had to remind them what the issue was. The person I spoke to said they would send someone out to recount the window panes within two weeks. I don't know if anyone came out and recounted the window panes but about 12 days later I received a phone call from Excellent Window stating that they would re-clean my windows or give me a refund of $80. I chose to take the check. The check arrived on February 8th. To top it off, the work is not done very well. They missed spots on the windows and there were drops of water wood windowsills that I wiped up after they left. My wife wanted to call and complain, but I am not a complainer and told her no. I should have listened to her.

They did nothing as we could not get windows clean on an acceptable date.

I needed to make an appointment about four weeks ahead because they were very busy, but because they have a good reputation on Angie's list I thought it would be worth the wait. On the day they were supposed to arrive, no one showed up. I called at about 4:30 in the afternoon and asked if anyone was still coming. They told me that someone was in my neighborhood and might still make it that day but they couldn't be sure. If not that day, then the next. No one came the next day either, so I hired someone else to clean the gutters who came the next day and charged $200. I thought that would be the end of my dealings with Excellent until I received my mail today and got a bill from them for $210. No one ever set foot on my property and they don't even know it, apparently. From my experience this is an incredibly poorly-run company with nonexistent customer service.

They did a really good job. We ended up adding skylights to be cleaned as well. Their response time was really good and they made an appointment right away. They came when they said they would and were pleasant. They left when they said they would. They were dependable and responsive. The price was fine; it was what I expected at the time.

It was good. I have been using him. They were available when I needed them. The quality was okay. They stained on my white carpet and I told them to be careful about it but apart from that, they were really nice. I have no complaints on their punctuality.

Two people were prompt, courteous and professional. All house windows and screens were professionally cleaned.

Very nice job. Would use again.

Scheduling was easy. Arrived on time, did a good and efficient job. Took care with our home and you would hardly know they had been here except the windows were crystal clear,

Excellent experience!! 3 guys showed up, and 2 of them tackled the exterior windows, while the 3rd guy did my interior windows. In and out in 30 minutes or so. Showed up promptly, very friendly, VERY professional! My gate to my back yard was frozen stuck and they even jumped the fence to get into my back yard, using their ladders. Will DEFINITELY hire this company again to clean my windows.

I have used this company for well over 5 years with no real problems. However, this time one of the cleaners was nearly an hour late arriving. I gave clear instructions to the cleaner who arrived first to be sure to hold the wooden blinds from the bottom when raising them because they are very heavy and failure to do so could damage the mechanism. This company has the practice of raising the blinds and leaving them up to indicate the window has been cleaned. The cleaner who was late raised a heavy wooden blind in the master bath without supporting the bottom. It popped out of its' bracket and fell onto the floor. I heard the crash and came upstairs to investigate and the cleaners were both in the master bedroom. They told me the blind had fallen but it was ok and they would put it back up. When I saw the blind on the floor, I realized the bottom piece had broken in several places and could not be rehung in that condition since the strings were no longer anchored. I had to use clear packaging tape to secure it so it could be rehung since I needed privacy. on that window I found out the first cleaner had not told the second one to support the blind from the bottom. The second cleaner was very contrite and seemed to feel really bad about it. It appeared that the bracket that held the blind on top had popped open which caused the blind to fall. They immediately seized on the issue that it was defective bracket. I agreed that could be a possibility. But after the blind was re-installed on the same bracket, the bracket worked perfectly. Besides, it had never done that in the 14 years since it was installed. I concluded after testing the bracket that it was the excessive force used to raise the blind without supporting the bottom that caused it to pop out. Especially if it had been yanked instead of raised slowly. I called the EWC office about a week later and reported this and was told the cleaners said the bracket was defective. Since I had tested it several times since they left, I knew that was not so. The office person wanted to know what I wanted and I said if I could get the blind repaired that would be fine but the company that made them was no longer in business. The EWC office person gave me the name of a company that might repair it. I called the repair place and they were skeptical especially since the bottom rail was broken. I have not called EWC back because I was disgusted with the attitude I got from the office person. And it is taking me a while to figure out what I need to do to solve the problem. I gave the company an F for professionalism because of their attitude when I called the office. There are two large custom wood matching blinds in the master bath and if I cannot get the one repaired, I will have to buy two new ones. There was no sincere apology or recognition of the inconvenience these two cleaners have caused me. The attitude was, well your bracket was defective (it is not) and you need to send us a bill and we MAY pay it or a portion of it. While accidents do happen, the failure to follow (or communicate) instructions is the real cause of the problem. You cannot blame improperly trained personnel but you can hold the company accountable. So I am no longer going to use EWC, I realize that publishing this review will likely guarantee they will not make any restitution but I don't want anyone else to have similar problems. I suggest you consider this review when making your decision to use them.

It went very well. I was able to have them come the next day. they came on time. they were pleasant. They did what I wanted.

It was fabulous! 2 men arrived on time and went right to work. As one counted windows, the other started washing. When the 1st finished counting he started washing too. They were very quick, the whole job took only 30 minutes (inside and out). Their work was superb. They looked as hard as I did for missed spots from all angles. They cleaned the sills of the excess water and grime. I only spoke with one worker. He was very pleasant and conversed easily as he worked. He was very focused on the work at hand, never stopping. He had no problem with my last minute change to do an extra window. He noted there would be an extra charge, which I was fine with. They did not collect money. An invoice was sent very promptly from the company. I appreciate that! The cleaned windows were crystal clear. I was so happy with their work. It would have taken me 6 times as long, with a lot more effort and exhaustion. I do recommend this company to everyone! I will hire them again.

My house is small- they cleaned my gutters in 10 minutes. I was happy with the work but $100 for 10 minutes of work was excessive. When I called the office regarding the charge, the office manager was extremely rude to me.

They showed up on time and cleaned the exterior of all windows in the house. They did a great job.

There was some minor problems. Initially, I was told that they couldn't schedule an exact time for the appointment unless the workers needed to get inside the home. Because this was the first time we used this service, we wanted to be home when they started to evaluate the job and also to assist if needed (which happened; the window screens needed to be unlatched from the inside). Not receiving an appointment time was inconvenient as we did not want to wait around all day. Eventually, I was given a three hour time frame. Excellent Window Cleaning is not set up for credit cards. You need to pay cash or check. Based on this inconvenience, we will not use them in the future. They did give us a 10% discount for being a member of Angie's List.

We have used the company for about 15 years to wash our windows on the outside only. They do a great job and are always prompt!

EWC does an excellent job of cleaning our windows. After their visit it is difficult to tell that there is glass in the window - no spots or streaks. The window washers are very polite, detail oriented and very careful when working in garden areas. They even clean storm doors in winter and open screens in the summer to clean door windows. One time they checked our gutters and provided us with a report. I would highly recommend EWC. They are thorough, efficient and allows us to have beautifully clean windows without all the fuss of doing them ourselves.
