DAN'S BATHTUB REGLAZING & RESTORATION

It went pretty good overall. There were some concerns that I brought up to them that they unfortunetly were not able to resolve but overall I'm satisfied with it.

Very easy process! The appointment setter was pleasant and helpful. We were able to get someone within the week. The workman did a great job. The tub looks brand new! The workman was punctual, polite, and tidy. Overall great experience with this company.

To date, EXCELLENT! As mentioned above, I contacted Dan's Bathtub Reglazing (which I vetted via Angie's List) after experiencing repeated problems with a reglazing job performed by a different contractor. The previous job had required two follow-up reglazing repairs after the initial coating process, each one about 6 - 8 months after the coating was applied. When the third series of coating once again developed cracking and peeling, I decided that it was fruitless to expect the original contractor to be successful with a fourth attempt at coating the tub, instead choosing to find a new contractor (Dan's). I e-mailed Dan's with a detailed explanation of my problem, and was promptly contacted by the owner, who explained their services and gave me confidence that their company could rectify the problem, and at a reasonable cost. As a result of the above, I made an appointment to have the bathtub repaired, which involved a complete stripping of the existing coating before prepping and reglazing. Dan's also met my request to have an enhanced-grip surface applied to the bottom area of the tub (via adding a sand mixture into the coating), which has worked very well and remained intact over the past year. (This was also a feature of the earlier contractor's application.) The work was performed by a very friendly and cooperative technician, who did a good job of keeping the bathroom area clean re: coating overspray, drips, etc. (which can be an issue, as the coating "paint" is very messy and strong-smelling). As I previously mentioned, over a full year has now transpired since Dan's reglazed my bathtub, and absolutely no evidence of the previous cracking/peeling problems has appeared, which is a very significant improvement over the previous contractor's coating performance. In addition, Dan's Bathtub Reglazing warranties their reglazing jobs for five years, whereas the earlier contractor (Unique Refinishers, Inc.) only provided a one-year warranty. (To that end, because their one-year warranty had expired, I was actually charged for Unique Refinisher's second effort at repairing their reglazing job, even though the problem had been a recurring issue since the initial reglazing.) Overall, I would definitely recommend Dan's Bathtub Reglazing to anyone considering such a project and/or repair.

Ordered the service over the phone. Scheduled a installation date. All I had to do was remove the protective tapethe next day and caulk the tub edge. Tub looks great! Good price. Very easy process. Would highly recommend this service.

Protected my floor from front door to bathroom. Covered for protection everything around the tub. I didn't remember the correct amount agreed on over the phone and paid in cash what I though the price was. He told me the amount was wrong and gave me back the difference. He was professional and courteous. The office staff was the same. I have followed the detailed written and verbal instructions to care for the tub. I still looks great. I waited to see how well the refinishing held up before sending my review. I am very pleased and glad for the choice I made. My tub is a huge old cast iron enamel covered fixture and is original to my house built in 1927. Great job, great service.

I called twice to set and appointment. I was told twice I would be called to set an appointment. I was never called back.

They came out and reglazed a 74-year-old bathtub. Results were spectacular. From the initial contact with the office to book the appointment, through the completion of the job, they were helpful, accommodating, punctual, and professional. Everything went as they promised. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Did an excellent job - very courteous on the phone, gave us all of the details of when they were arriving, what work was to be performed, what things we needed to do in preparation. They called ahead and informed us of what time they were arriving, arrived promptly and finished quickly. My wife was very happy and impressed with the work. Will definitely use them again. Highly recommended.

It was great. It was a lot cheaper and easier than putting in new tile. The technician was very helpful and did a beautiful job. We have two boys who are in and out of that bathroom a lot and the tile has held up very well. The bathroom looks great. It was a peach colored 1950s half bath that is now modern and white.

Service was excellent! There were a few small things that I wasn't satisfied with and they came out immediately and made it right. The bathroom looks great! I would highly recommend them!

my phone call was returned within 30 minutes. a price was quoted over the phone based on the square footage. i was able to schedule an appointment quickly. they arrived on time and did a wonderful job. they left the bathroom just as it was when they arrived. the shower tile and the tub looks great. visitors thought we replaced the tile. i would highly recommend this company. i was completely satisfied.

Dan's was a great family business to deal with ; in our case, from start to finish. I spoke with both the ( husband and wife ) owners for details on their svc and product and then was at home to interact with the fellow who did the application. So I found them all to be informative , friendly and helpful. The applicator was very thorough and made sure that he left our bathroom clean and the bathtub-surface fully restored as promised. We like the new shine and would recommend Dan's to anyone needing a restoration. I should note that I called Unique Refinishers initially re this service , but after being treated like an interruption by the tired woman answering calls, I looked elsewhere at Angie's. I'm glad I did.

Everything was done as expected. All questions were answered. There are potent fumes so be prepared to open some windows or leave the house for a few hours after.

I called Dan's Bathtub and the job was quoted over the phone. Curtis came out to the house at the agreed time. He explained to us what was about to take place and then proceeded to prep the the job. Since spraying was going to be involved, I was very impressed with the extent to which precautions were taken to ensure that nothing was affected by overspray. When Curtis completed spraying, he showed us the end result for our approval. The difference between how the tubs looked before and after spraying was amazing! Excellent workmanship, very professional, very good experience from my point of view.

The technician was prompt and arrived right at the 7:00 a.m. scheduled appointment. We reviewed the condition of the tub and decided on the exact color match to the other surfaces in the bathroom. He explained the procedure, taped and curtained off the exposed areas and did an excellent job of re-glazing the tub. He then thoroughly explained the post-procedure as far as timing to replace hardware, maintenance of the new tub surface and cleaned up after himself beautifully. He suggested leaving the window from the bedroom into the bathroom open for several hours to air out the smell from the glazing. The tub looks like brand-new and we're thrilled with the results!

The whole process was very pleasant. I spoke with Anna in the office, and she explained their standard pricing for the tub refinish. Because the tub had been refinished before, I had to pay a little extra for stripping the old finish off. Anna also advised me on the right time to get the tub reglazed -- after tiling and grouting, but before caulking around the tub. I made an appointment for a few weeks out, anticipating the completion of several other things that had to be done before the tub got refinished. The technician called ahead and arrived on time on the day promised, and he completed the work in about 2-3 hours. He did a good job of masking all the surfaces of the newly-laid tile and floor off, so that no finish would overspray there. He did a good job of stripping off the old finish, and his spray job of the new finish was almost perfect -- there was just one small area where a slight sag developed but it is not that noticeable. He gave verbal instructions and left written instructions for how to care for the tub after he left. The next day, I peeled off the masking as directed and the result was very nice -- I didn't even expect how beautiful the tub would look after being refinished. It's now been several weeks after the tub was refinished, and my daughter has been using it every day. My only minor complaint is that rust stains are again appearing around the tub drain area. Perhaps this area was not prepared 100% properly or coated enough. I hope this will not become a bigger problem -- but I know Dan's extends a 5-year warranty so I expect they would stand behind their work and fix it if needed. Overall, a very positive experience. The job was done in a very workmanlike manner.

I tried to get Dan to come out and quote a job. He agreed but never showed up. I called him the next day and he said he had the date wrong. He rescheduled then did not show up for that appointment. When I called him (he did not call me) he said he was late at a job and could come the next day before 7:00pm. The next day I waited and he never showed. He made no attempt to call and apologize/reschedule.

They were very responsive to my call and questions. They were able to set up an appointment for a couple weeks later, but put me on a list to come earlier if they had a cancellation. They did have a cancellation so we were able to have it refinished earlier than expected. The guy showed up on time, explained the process to my husband and showed him why they would need to charge us for stripping off a former treatment. He was careful to lay down paper to protect the rest of the bathroom and did a great job. They left us with a sheet of instructions of how long to wait, what to do in the future and what type of cleaning products to use and not use to make the finish last as long as possible. They guarantee their work for 5 years as well. So far it all still looks great and we love it.

The tech arrived on time, performed the job quickly and without taking any unplanned breaks, cleaned up and left detailed instructiuons on the easy maintenance. The shower floor looks better than new.

I was happy to talk to a voice when I called to make the appointment, not a menu. She was very friendly yet professional. They called two days before the appointment as a reminder. The man they sent was on time, friendly and very helpful. I had ordered a white glaze but the gentleman they sent pointed out the toilet and sink were bone and it would look better if the bathtub was bone also and he could do it right then, I did not have to reschedule because I changed colors. I do not remember the workers name,(very sorry), but he was very nice and I am so happy he took the initiative to suggest the bone color; the bathtub looks great and the color choice he suggested was right on! The work was very cleanly done, no paint overspray. The price was exactly as quoted. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a job well done!

I got them through Angie's list. They were highly recommended, and they didn't do such a great job. It was an okay job. They didn't clean up well after themselves. There is an excess pouring, and the surface is not smooth as well as off marked. They wash out because it will have a guarantee for the long run.

The company was very responsive and willing to work with me to get the service done despite the fact that I was not able to be home for the entire process. The installer called me approximately 45 minutes before he was finished to allow me ample time to get home to sign off on the service. He thoroughly explained the precess and follow up care, and the tub looks great.
