Jason came into my home to service an Electrolux dryer today which has been burning clothing and blankets since we bought it about 9 months ago. He ran some heat tests which came back normal so he said there's nothing wrong with the dryer, it's working properly and it's my fault as he assumed I'm overloading it. I explained that I have been doing laundry for over 20 years and NEVER have I encountered a dryer to burn my clothing and NEVER do I overload it. The grate on the inside of the dryer is burnt which indicates the dryer is overheating causing items it comes into contact with to get scolded. I showed him some examples of burn marks and he brushed it off and said that is nothing, it's simply changing the texture with some black stuff on the items. I have since reported the lack of professionalism to Electrolux and will also be calling a manager at Autumn Appliance tomorrow to report his actions. Jason tried leaving without agreeing to replace the grate, stating I need to take this up with Electrolux. He had a very poor attitude which I captured parts of the conversation through our camera and will be reporting. He should not be allowed into people's homes and needs further training on servicing appliances since he clearly didn't know what to do and wasted my time. Update: I called to speak with a manager this morning whom I explained the entire situation to and alarming this is for their technician's behavior and the lack of care towards a customer. We went around in circles and finally she refused to even order a new grate telling me the unit is ok and they won't be back out to place a new grate even though the previous one is clearly burnt. I told her as a manager she should want to uphold the upmost integrity and show better respect towards a customer with a fire hazard in their home but she chose to be careless unwilling to understand the problem and issue at stake. Please, do not call this company if you want to avoid a disappointing encounter. It was clear this type of attitude is supposed from the top down as I experienced the same egotistical message from the technician and manager. I can only imagine how the owner acts and trains staff. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

The guy told us, most of which, we already knew about. He barely touched the washer and pointed out that our drain hose was probably not positioned properly and was draining bad water back into the washer. All of this was done in under 10min. for the cost of $89 or thereabouts (that we had already agreed to pay for a visit). We also tried adjusting position of the drain hose later and it made NO difference. Where the customer service hit its lowest level is when we asked the guy if he could take a quick look at the dryer for the same stink issue - he would not even TOUCH the equipment unless we were ready to pay another $89 (two equipment). It's not like we were asking him to fix something! All in all, $89 down in 15min. and the problem still exists!

The guy spent barely 5 min. looking at our appliance and told us what we already knew. Charge - $80! We realize that's their standard rate that I had agreed to pay but here is when it went out of control for us - when we asked him to just glance at the other appliance right next to the first one, he said that's an additional appliance and will cost another $60. The guy won't even touch the appliance! He seemed like a decent person but showed absolutely no trace of customer service and had no idea of how badly they just ripped the customer! The rates quoted for doing actual work was outrageous too. Prohibitively expensive. Will not hire again.

The drum of my dryer would continue spinning when the door was opened. I called Autumn Appliance, talked to Larry and described the issue. He told me I probably needed a new switch but before he scheduled a service call he wanted to make sure he could find a replacement part to accommodate a 27 year old dryer. He found the part and we scheduled the service call. Jesse arrived at my house a week later, replaced the switch and the light bulb. He also noticed the belt around the drum was bad. This was something I had never replaced so he took care of that and while the dryer was disassembled he vacuumed all the lint that had accumulated thru the years. After putting everything back together he tested it and it worked like new. I?m very pleased with the service from Autumn Appliance, especially Larry and Jesse. Thanks boys, I just may get another 27 years out of that dryer.

I had originally picked a different provider from Angie's List but they did not service LG washers. I called LG and Autumn was on their list of repair services. I called on a Tuesday afternoon and they set up an appointment for the following day for between 1 to 5 pm. They clearly explained their fees on the phone. The repairman arrived at about 3:00 and called 15 minutes before arriving to let me know he was on his way. The repair was very easy, so he only charged me the diagnostic fee and not the full labor fee. I did not in any way feel cheated. It was only easy because he has seen the problem before so knew exactly what to do - I was paying for experience. And providers still need compensated for travel time and to cover the back office. He was polite, professional, answered my questions, and provided a lot of additional helpful information.

Had the heat go out on a later model gas dryer. Autumn Appliance sent Terry to the repair. Terry was professional, prompt, and polite. The dryer needed a part that Autumn did not have on hand; but, Terry returned within 24 hours and fixed the dryer. Awesome customer service.

no problems with the tech; my problems are with the clothes washing top-load GE model. If I was paying for this myself, I wouldn't have agreed to the motor-with-circuit-board assembly replacement. A simple swap out, but it looked like a really expensive part.
Description of Work: Under warranty, GE set me up with this company. I set up my appointment time with them for 9am-1pm. at 10 am I called & they said that I was the second service call that day. At 11 I received a call from the tech saying he was 30 minutes out. Robert was clean & courteous, seemed young, non-smoker. I asked him of his training, he said OJT. He worked professionally, kept the work area clean. He swapped the part (identified during an earlier service visit), which I don't think was necessary to fix the problems I had, as he then explained that this model of GE clothes washer has my problems: water temp on HOT is 100F max; NO out-of-balance cut-out or indicator (other than the 85dB banging washer hopping around); some twisted clothes underneath the agitator.

I had broken water hose in my LG refrigerator. I called to make an appointment and instructed the answering service that I wanted a replacement hose to my water dispenser in my LG fridge. I knew exactly what the problem was because I could definitely see the crack in the hose at the connection under the freezer door. The answering service person said that they would have to charge the usual service call fee of $68 but that would go toward the parts/labor bill. I said that is fine, but I wanted the service person to bring the hose and install it in one trip. If there was a problem with that then I did not want to have the service call...(meaning I didn't want them to come over and I pay them $68 just to tell me I need a new hose and a second service call was needed for the installation.) The answering service said she understood and said a technician would contact me if they needed more info on the hose. The first available appointment was almost three weeks away. Wow, that was a long time, but ok because they would need to order the hose anyway. Days later, I did get a call from a technician, unfortunately I don't remember his name. He asked a few questions to confirm the hose that was cracked was the one that connected to the freezer door - not the hose that is connected to the main water line in the back of the fridge. Per his request, sent him 2 pictures via text to number 248-860-3260. The pictures clearly show the crack and the hose that sticks out from under the freezer door. Weeks later, a different technician came to my house. He was friendly and started looking at the fridge, looking at the model number and inspecting inside the fridge area. I said the hose goes under the freezer door to the water dispenser line. He said he didn't know anything about that. I asked him if he had the hose I requested. He said no, looked at his clipboard and said there was no note of anything regarding the cracked hose. I was bummed. Now, I had to deal with two service calls. He looked at the cracked hose and said Yes, it looks like it would need to be replaced. Arg...I know that. He tightened one of my door handles and charged me $68 for the service call. I said I didn't want to pay that because the service was not what I ordered. He was apologetic and said every service call is $68, no matter what, and he said "at least I was able to tighten your loose handle and it wasn't all for nothing". Really...I didn't wait three weeks, take a day off work, and pay $68 for my handle to be tightened. He said he was not familiar with replacing the water hose and another technician would probably do it, but I would get a call with a quote before hand. A couple days later the technician called to say they can't replace the hose they can only replace the whole freezer door. The whole freezer door - for almost $500. I was furious at the whole situation, felt deceived and taken advantage of. I understand it's not Autumn Appliances fault that they can't replace the hose. But the technician that called had all the information from our phone conversation and pictures. Did he totally drop the ball or did the company just want to scam me out of $68? They wasted my time and my $68.

Both visits were for repairs on different machines. He arrived on time diagnosed quickly and effeciently. He was also very professional in his appearance and in the manner of his arrival and departure from our house in his company vehicle (no blaring radio etc)
Description of Work: This is the second time I used this company for clothes washer repairs. I got the same workman both times in a period of two years so was comfortable with him. I like this company. The technician showed good work ethic and was very straight forward. Not to mention he went above and beyond to explain things.

Service Tech looked at leaking washer and also a refrigerator ice maker issue. Service Tech told me what was wrong with each and gave me options for repair. He did not try to sell me a washer but gave me ideas on what to buy ONLY when I asked him. He did not try and sway me on the specific brand that he recommended, he just said it was based on what he saw in the field and he still did not advocate for that brand. No sales gimmicks, just the facts. I was able to make an informed decision to replace the washer and repair the refrigerator. He even showed me what part to replace on the refrigerator myself and said he could do it for me, but it was so minor that I would be paying for something that I could do myself. I'll be using them again when I have an appliance issue.

Service Tech was on time, very professional and efficient. There seemed to be a loose connection which the tech told me about and showed me the area of concern. The fix was very quick, and the tech assured me that if the problem returned and more work was needed, the diagnosis charge would be applied. The price of $68 seems a small price to pay when the alternative might have been buying a new dryer. I used Angie's list to find this company and am very glad to have found them!

Terry arrived within the communicated time frame. He was prepared with tools and parts necessary to repair the ice maker and replace both filters. Total work time was approximately 1 1/2 hour. He provided suggestions as to how to prevent the ice maker from breaking again and how to extend the life of the filters. While the refrigerators were disassembled and pulled away from the wall, he allowed the time for me to vacuum out from in and behind both units before he reassembled and repositioned each.

Contacted Autumn Appliance in the morning and they were able to get a technician out the same day. When Terry arrived, he was very friendly and professional and was able to diagnose the problem within 15 minutes - gas coils needed to be replaced. This was a very easy fix and relatively inexpensive. Unfortunately, he did not have the parts needed to perform the repair that day, but was able to confirm that the parts were available at the shop. We scheduled the repair for the next day and Terry arrived within the agreed to window and was able to quickly get us up and running again. The dryer is working great and is actually working better then when we moved into the house last year (dryer came with the house). I will definitely use Autumn Appliance for my next large appliance repair (hopefully this will not be anytime soon).

The technician arrived on time and found the problem to be the motor on the upper unit. Had the replacement part in his truck and replace the part. He checked out both units to insure they were functioning properly. The technician was very knowledgable, courteous and I appreciate that he took the time to check both units out to insure they were operating properly.

When the technician arrived, he also had a trainee with him. They got to work right away and confirmed the diagnosis that I had received on the phone. Very professional and polite. The issue was an igniter switch which was a little difficult to get to. He quoted me the price to do the repair which I was a little shocked at, but didn't have any reference to draw from to know whether that was high or not. It still was cheaper then having to buy a new stove. The whole job took them about a half hour and the stove was working again. They cleaned up after themselves and were done in about a half an hour. After they left I looked up the part on the internet and saw it went for about $80 so the total price wasn't too bad. The stove works great! I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: Our oven stopped working even though the burners and broiler still worked. When I called to describe the problem, the gentleman said he knew right away what the problem was. He asked me for the model and serial number so he could ensure the technician had the part when he made the service call. I asked for a Saturday appointment so I wouldn't have to take any time off of work. He gave me a window of 9:30 to 2:00. They ended up showing up at 11:00am.

I called due to the face that my gas dryer was not heating at all. They were able to come out the next day. Joe replaced the bad fuse and noticed the squeking that it was making and stated he could fix that too, but did not have the part. So Brian came back on an agreed upon day and replaced the defective park (some type of pulley) so that my dryer is running quietly. Total cost was $185. Both repair men were nice and professional.
Description of Work: Replaced bad fuse, and another part (some time of pulley) so that I would have heat in my dryer and the drum would not squeak when running.
