Description of Work: I discussed with Matt Warren that I needed a Gable Vent and rake trim installed. I asked Matt if he had time to come over and look over the job prior to whether her would decide to take on the job. Matt agreed to do so, and came over on October 4, 2017. Matt was here for approximately 20 minutes and charged me $50.00. I was appalled and told him that I found this to be wrong. NO one has ever charged for coming over to discuss a job. I would never recommend Matt to anyone. I found that this was very unprofessional and I believe I was taken advantage of. Matt Warren is only in for the money. Thank you, Linda Ritchie

Description of Work: Replaced 4 Windows, helped me decide on brand of Windows ( the pros & cons of different brands) of course the new Windows didn't match the openings exactly and they did a wonderful job making the necessary adjustments. I was very pleased with the quality of work performed. And was always on site when said they would be. I would recommend Warren Builders any time! JV

+ 0 moreMatt is very throughal. I explained what I wanted and showed him pictures of how I envisioned the finished product. He researched various hardwoods and talked to various manufacturers to get me exactly the wood product that I wanted. Matt is a very perfectionistic carpenter. He strives to give the customer a great product and he's wonderful to work with. He's always Communicative, on time and uses his time wisely. Matt's done quite a few projects for me and I'm always tickled with the results. He's Also built me a beautiful dock, a beautiful post on my front porch and even done projects on rental properties for me. He's quick and dependable and Keeps his project area clean too!
Description of Work: i had a carpeted stairway and hall replaced with maple hardwood.

+ 7 moreDid a wonderful job of taking everything back to the studs, then worked with plumber to move locations of toilet, sink, and shower. Had to do carpentry work with studs and floor to support new glass shower. Redid the entire ceiling, wired in a new ceiling fan, and helped with lighting. Then redid walls and floor. Then tiled half the walls and the whole floor. Looks beautiful even though there is not one square wall in my house since it is 100 years old construction. Helped install plumbing fixtures when requested. Also rebuilt the door frame and did all of the wooden trim. Then made sure all of the finishing touches were the way they we wanted. I want to do some more projects now that this one went so smooth.
Description of Work: Entirely remodeled main upstairs bathroom and downstairs half bath.

+ 1 moreFrom the very beginning, Matt listened carefully to our needs, and gave us his professional opinion of what would and what would not work. He consulted us at every step along the way when he encountered hidden "surprises" in our older home, and was totally up front about our choices and what any extra costs would be. His staff are also very good at what they do, and very professional. We were so satisfied with the results, that several weeks later when we discovered another issue, we immediately called Warren Builders. After completion of project #2, we now have an amazing sunroom with a very functional laundry closet tucked away. We could not recommend Warren Builders more highly!
Description of Work: Warren Builders saved the day! We were over our heads in a bathroom demo/remodel. What we discovered in looking for someone to pick up where we left off was that we could not find a handyman to fit the bill, and also discovered many builders aren't willing to tackle smaller jobs. In Matt Warren of Warren Builders, you will find someone who is able to do the big jobs, but also has a heart for helping out homeowners like us who need the expertise of an experienced builder on a small scale. He finished our shower demo and the finished product is absolutely beautiful. We get comments all the time that it looks beautiful!

+ 1 moreHe did a wonderful job of the things he has done for me over the last five years. He comes as quickly as he can whenever I called to have things done. He comes with a positive attuided and was very friendly and explains everything that he is going to do. I feel that I can trust him to do the things I ask him to do and to do things that I don't ask and knows that should be done. I don't trust many people but I trust that Mr. Matt will come in on a timely matter and do what needs to be done and what should be done and do it right the first time. My dad built my house and he used to be my fix it guy but now that he is in his 90's he is unable to do what he used to do. So it good to know that I can call somebody that I trust to either come to my house or my dad's house and do the work and do it right. Whenever I call Mr. Matt is usually right there to check on what the problem is. And usually he gets it done within 2 to 3 days after I call. I would recommend Warren Builders to anybody that needs work done. Rather it was to building a brand new house to minor fixes in your house, garage. Because it will be done the right way the first time. I feel what he charges is fair and the going rate.

+ 7 moreAll work went very well! Matt is an ambitious worker who did all of the work with the exception of HVAC and electrical. He had competent workers who also worked very hard. Matt is a man of his word and we trusted him at every step. He's very easy to get along with and keeps you informed of progress throughout the project. We communicated nearly every day by phone or text or email. He is skilled carpenter! We presented him with a picture of a pergola entrance that we liked and he built it perfectly without a detailed sketch. I would highly recommend Matt for your construction project!
Description of Work: Total remodel of and addition to lake cottage. Addition of Master bedroom, full bath, and large closet. Also completely remodeled two other existing bathrooms including wall and floor tile work. Installed new doors and woodwork to nearly all of existing house. Replaced all original windows in existing house. Applied new dry wall to many parts of existing house. Tiled kitchen back splash. Re-sided entire existing house and garage.Built a unique pergola entrance. Graded the outside to prepare for seeding. Installed a custom fireplace mantle.

+ -1 moreThey did a great job patching. They are very honest and very fair. The thing that pleased me the most was the way they put the plastic chipping up and made a little tunnel that they work then so that they didn't get dust and didn't make a big mess that would be all over my kitchen. Instead, they made a little hallway for their work area. They hanged the plastic sheets down and they protected the rest of the room from the mess. They did it beautifully. We had several people commented on the job that they did. Overall, they did a beautiful job of repairing it. It was fairly a long crack that went across the ceiling in the kitchen and now you can not tell it was there. They installed heat vent in our attic which eliminated the problem so we will never have that problem again. They did an excellent job. They were polite, very professional, very clean, and timely. They humbled temselves very well. It was just comfortable having them in your home. The repair price was less than what we expected to.
Description of Work: I used them to repair the crack on the ceiling of my kitchen.

+ 2 moreOur experience was excellent; I continue to recommend Warren Builders to my friends. Work done in the home was efficient, professional and care was always taken to prevent a mess. Materials came and went, but the end of each work day left little for me to clean up or put away. Having other experiences in the past for comparison, I know we had qualified, knowledgeable, caring professionals. We knew what was going to be done, and how and when it would be finished --- and it all exceeded our expectations.
Description of Work: Our 45 year old house has a 25 year old kitchen. We had a plan, had purchased the new base and wall units, but didn't know where to start, or what to do first! Matt gave us design ideas, direction and a starting point. Appliances and wall base cabinets needed to be moved, and new ones installed, including moving the electric stove and extending the existing electric to it. I needed more light on that wall for cooking. Matt started by building a soffit (we previously had none) on the stove wall, which meant construction, drywall, and electric work, including 4 lights and a fan, and attaching the new wall cabinet and countertops.. The results are fantastic! This was in January, 2013. We liked the new lighting so much we had Matt back in April to extend the existing soffit on another wall (about 16 feet) and add 5 more lights! Finally light enough for the kitchen! Even my husband is happy with the amount of light we have now! The last of the wall units has been attached, so for now the kitchen work is done. In another part of the house, Matt designed, painted and installed 3 special-sized doors in existing frames. One wall of doors was sliding-barn-type which required designing a special mounting track. Matt also added insulation to several ceiling areas, making a big difference in heating areas of the house. During his time with us Matt was open to discussing our needs and always had suggestions and professional advice for us about what needed to be done.
