He advised me to replace one instead of repairing it, as the repair cost was exceeding the price of a new one. He was honest and that impressed me a lot. I will continue to use their services in future.

Excellent service! I initially called and spoke to Mr. Moss and scheduled a time for 3/8/2011. He called me around 7 p.m. on 3/7 and said he was done early, and asked if I would like for him to come over and do the repair that night and free up my time tomorrow, so I said yes. He came over promptly - very nice gentleman - diagnosed very quickly, said he had the part in his van, and fixed it in under an hour. I approved his estimate of the work, but when he ran the numbers, I actually paid less that what he initially quoted me, and he used the Angie's List 15% discount. He cleaned the area and put things back in their place. He even did extra checks - he made sure there was no gas leak, and there was a little one, so he fixed that. He also went outside and cleaned the lint out of the vent and unstuck the flap so that animals couldn't get back in. So, he took extra time and care and did a few other things that I didn't even ask him to do. I was also very pleased that he was able to come so quickly and it did help me a lot to have him come that evening - I really did need that extra time the next day. So I would highly recommend Speedway and Mr. Moss!!!

I was so impressed with this man's professionalism and kindness...I had contributed to the problem by previously attempting to fix the refrigerator myself, and he was very kind and not the least judgemental...I so appreciated him fitting me into his long day...his charge was very fair and I will certainly call him again when I need service.

Mr. Moss came within a few hours of my first call, installed a new control panel, which seemed to fix things. However, when I called him back the next day to say the fridge was still working but NOT the freezer (again), he came back and discovered the new panel was defective and installed another one, AND a new fan. However, he refused to charge me for either another service call, or the fan (but I insisted on paying for the fan ($69) ... seemed fair to me at the time.) Again, both worked for a few hours and then both failed again. When he called me the next day, Saturday, (on his own) to see how things were going, I told him I had given up and was going to buy a new one ... he said absolutely not, he insisted on trying again. Came back (on a Saturday evening, no charge) to try again. And again, the freezer worked for a few hours, and then quit by morning. I ordered a new refrigerator the next day!!! And, of course, by the time I got home, the freezer had begun working perfectly on its own, and has been working ever since! (However, the fridge is STILL too warm, so good thing a new refrigerator is on its way.) Mr. Moss was VERY disappointed that he could not fix it (and would still try, if I'd let him!) ... he says this is the first time this has ever happened, and from his persistence (free of charge after the first try), I can believe it. So, although the end result was not a good one, for either of us, I would definitely call him again.

A couple of weeks ago we smelled what we thought was the faint smell of freon when opening the refridgerator. We called Mr. Moss on Saturday 2/12 and on the first call we scheduled an appointment for Monday 2/14. He was available to come on 2/12 in the afternoon, but we already had something planned. Mr. Moss called on 2/14 around 10 AM and offered to come immediately, but again we were unprepared. He came at his scheduled time, showing up just when we expected. He checked the temperatures of both the refrigerator and freezer, freon levels and compressor and reported that all were just fine. He said that sometimes a faint smell will appear and perhaps cleaning with a mixture of water and vanilla would resolve the issue.

He came out twice, there were two parts that weren't working on the machine. It was a very old machine and I just wanted to keep it running until I moved. The gentleman who came was very responsive, he called me right away and came out within a day. When another item on the machine broke he was equally responsive and came right out to repair that issue as well.

Mr Mr Moss arrived and began to thoroughly inspect the dryer. He took his time explaining what was needed. He had the part that needed to be replaced with him. After he installed the new part he tested it several times to insure it was working properly and he told us to listen for a clicking sound which would let us know that the part was operating properly. Then He reconnected the gasoline notice a small leakage of gas was escaping from the valve and repaired it., placed all the parts of the dyer back into place and placed the dryer back into it's spot. He then asked me if I was satisfied and then wrote up the invoice and handed it to me with a smile.

Washer had quit mid cycle on Sunday. Called on Monday. Talked through possible options. Washer is a 10 year old top loader (Amana), not past its usefulness but not new either. Ended up making appointment for Wednesday. Mr. Moss called earlier in the day to say he was behind. I was expecting a cancellation. Road were crummy from previous night snowfall. Called again to let us know he was on his way. Diagnosed the problem and checked to see if we wanted to go with the repair. Whole process took about 2 hours. When going to his van and back, he was careful to make sure the baby gate was closed. Will be the first call if we are in need of repair again.

Overall, it went well. I think the cost of the repair was a bit on the high side, but he was very courteous, thorough, and professional.

I was pleased with the courteous service and the accurate repair. He knew to let the dryer run for a bit since it initially appeared to be working. I have already recommended this company, and it will be my first choice for future needs.

Called Speedway for the above problem on 8/30/10. Moses Moss (the owner) promptly called me back and we set an appointment for the next day, stating he would call before he came for the appointment. Moses called before he came out for the appointment as he had stated, and was quickly able to figure out what the problem was. He replaced the element (sorry cannot remember the technical name for part) that heats up the oven. Moses was prompt, courteous, and very knowledgeable. He even gave me some tips on keeping my refrigerator in good running condition. I would highly recommend Speedway Refrigeration and Appliance.

Outstanding. Came out at 7:00pm on Friday and completed work in a couple of hours. This is after we had another repair company do it incorrectly.

Moses Moss answered the phone early in the morning and restored our dead refrigerator to life by 3:00 PM. He replaced the compressor and it now works as well as new. Moses was very courteous, neat and explained the problem and the cost before we authorized the repair. We will call him again, if needed. We recommend him highly.

He was professional.....and Honest. The replacement of a compressor in a five year old Amana is an outragous expence.......... not sure where to go from here.............Other than my bad luck ,the Service tech was the highlite of the day.

Mr. Moses Moss came on the day and time we had agreed and made the neccessary repair. Apparenntly the drain was plugged such that the water from defrosting was puddling and then leaking out. He clared the plugged drain and confirmed that everything was back to working order. I was very satisfied with the work, his professionalism, punctuality and price.

Overall it was great, he came out the next day, fixed a few items and ordered the needed part. He said it would come on Thursday and that he would replace it. On Thursday he exchanged the new part for the misshapen part. During his work we had a conversation about personal life questions. It was fun. I paid and we went our separate ways.

I couldn't be happier with the experience and have been meaning to write a review. I called Mr. Moss on a Thursday and he came out the next day. I really thought that the cost to repair the fridge that no longer cooled would be so much that I would have to replace it (and it's a nice fridge that's probably only 6 or 7 years old). Mr. Moss knows exactly what he's doing and was able to fix both refrigerators within a matter of hours and at a very affordable price. He came out and assessed the situation with each refrigerator. He had to leave the house to go get parts, but let me know what the cost would be for each repair including parts before he left the house. He's a very kind man and very efficient and confident in his work. I think he's a gem and would recommend him to anyone! In fact I already referred him to one of my girlfriends and she was very satisfied with a large appliance repair at his house.

After I found Speedway Appliance in Angie's List, I placed a call in the morning. Moss answered, asked what kind of problem I was having and told me he was currently on a job but would call me back. I received the return call approximately 2 hours later and by 3:00 PM Moss was at my house in Rochester Hills. He was very personable, professional and extremely competent, I am pretty sure this is a one-man operation, so if you call Speedway you will get Moss to do your repair. He also honored the Angie's List coupon.

I was very impressed with the service that Mr. Moss performed; he was very polite & professional and almost immediately knew what he had to do to fix the problem. The price was very reasonable. So far so good, the refrigerator runs like brand new with no signs of any problems. I will most definitely keep this guy as my permanent appliance service person. Keep up the good work Mr. Moss:)

Prompt. Professional. Fixed a difficult leak. Even called the next day to make sure the leak was fixed to our satisfaction!

There was a mix up on the day but he was able to still come on the day I had thought we talked about. He kept in contact throughout the day to let us know when he would arrive. The main reason for service call was for oven not working. Replaced faulty ignitor (~$90 part). While here, had him look at some other minor annoyances. Looked at dryer door that was not latching closed completely. Replaced latch. Also cleaned/vacuumed out dryer lint trap area. Looked at possible leak from dishwasher that occurs occasionally (no more than teaspoon when it does). He gave some possible reasons and what could be fixed. He recommended to not do anything yet and gave some things to look for in case a future call is needed. Price was very reasonable compared to looking at reports from other companies.

Unfortunate that two visits and repairs were needed, but dryer now seems to be working well.

After a slight mix up, Mr. Moss arrived on time. He determined that the unit needed to be cleaned - the area around the compressor was dirty. Mr. Moss cleaned it and said that the cleaning should resolve the problem, and it did. He was very professional, courteous, and helpful. My refrigerator had sports on it (we had recently moved in and "inherited" the appliances), and I asked advice on how to remove them. He said that he had a cleaner that he would like to try on it and stopped by a few days later (he called first) and the cleaner removed the marks. The fridge looks like new! I had considered replacing the refrigerator, but now I will be keeping it! I would recommend him to anyone.

He was really nice. He knew exactly what was wrong and how to fix it right away. I would hire them again.
