Customer service desk VERY responsive and able to rearrange technician's schedule to get them out to have a look very promptly. An Angie's list discount of $35 was applied to the final invoice - used coupon at the top of their page. The technician gave advice on a back-up system for the sump pump which we are considering.
Description of Work: Installed new sump pump.

Very smooth although we could have been prepared ourselves, for not being able to use our driveway for 2 weeks. The wet spring delayed the work, which Brian apologized for, numerous times. We were not in a big rush to get it done, so it was not a problem. The new surface looks great! The contractor seemed very knowledgeable about how the water runoff under the new driveway would be improved. Time will tell......
Description of Work: Removed old cracked driveway and replaced.

Overall, we were very pleased with the outcome.. Brian was quick to respond and give us a verbal estimate. Written came later. His schedule was pushed back about a month because of the rain, which of course, is in no one's control. His crew did the work, with some assistance from Brian. For the most part, he supervised, which was appropriate. There was some confusion however, with the design we expected and the one the crew had been told to construct, given that there was no diagram drawn up for them to follow. We did straighten that out, because we were home to observe the construction of the molds and pouring. Had we not been there, there would have been a problem. His crew was quick to respond and comply, however, so it was resolved. Brian is personable, hard working, and affordable. My husband and I have confidence he does good work. However, we recommend maintaining good and frequent communication with him to make sure everything stays on track.
Description of Work: Removed and replaced old porch, steps, and sidewalk to driveway. Increased dimensions of porch 1 ft. in each direction, re-cast steps as wide as porch landing; steps cast to standard depth, according to code. Sidewalk from steps curves and slopes to driveway.

Brain Antcliff was very responsive to our calls, always polite and called back in a short period of time. We had two types of concrete work performed at our home. He poured a 6'x6' concrete pad at our garage service door and a poured a 24'x24' stamped concrete patio. The pad meets our expectations, but we are not pleased with the quality of the patio. In some areas the stamped pattern is barley noticeable and in one small area there is no impression of the pattern at all. In addition, there were, and still are, some odd marks across the patio. These marks are in the release agent, not actual impressions in the concrete. Brian and I worked to remove the odd marks before the patio was sealed, but some are still visible. I think it's important to mention that Brian did not do the stamping himself. There were two people doing the stamping and we believe the lead guy was someone temporarily helping Brian out. Our overall assessment is this. If you want broomed concrete work done (sidewalks, driveways) call Brian Antcliff. He does a good job in this area and at a very affordable price. However, we can not recommend him for stamped concrete work.

I needed to replace concrete steps/path with new steps, and needed to have garage floor capped to create proper water flow and cover deep ugly cracks. I cleaned out cracks in garage floor and filled with SL-1 but the slope was still towards the house. The existing concrete steps were a sloped path of concrete leading down the side of the house. The existing concrete was much thicker than they or I has suspected. No complaints or anything and they removed it all, formed up the new steps, and prepared the garage. Came back next day and poured the new 5000psi fiber re-inforced concrete, finished the steps and garage and helicoptered the garage floor. Came back again to clean up forms, seal concrete and saw cut the expansion joints for the garage floor. All the workers were hard working and kind. Job went great!
Description of Work: Removed existing concrete and replaced with new concrete steps. Poured concrete cap on garage floor.
