The scope of the work was the exterior of a two-story boxy aluminum-sided residential house, including trim and shutters. The up front conversations and process were all smooth and professional. And the body of the work was a solid spray-on job. I’m satisfied with that. My snag with this company came when they messed up two exterior doors. I finally asked them not to come back after the third attempted repair, sending the same person back each time. The crew supervisor explicitly told me that he would be coming out himself for the repair just hours before they were to arrive. But alas, who showed up .. the same person that had already failed three times. The owner, after each iteration of repair responded with earnest-sounding words and a promise that this would be made right. It seems they have all the right words, but not the skill(?) or heart(?) to follow through. Would not hire again.

Certa Pro painted the siding on the sides of house and wood on the front garage and porch. They painted when the wood was wet (i questioned that idea and they said it would be fine) and 2 days later it was peeling all over. They came back and said they would redo it the following year, that was 2 years ago, I am still waiting!! I have called the corporate office because I can't get in contact with anyone in the Portage office. This company has the WORST communication ever! There is a 3 year warranty which they are not honoring (they called in August and wanted to come repaint the next day when rain was forecast, I said no. That's what got me into this mess, I would wait for better weather, still waiting on them and would N.E.V.E.R. recommend them to anyone. I will say that the siding is still looking okay that they painted, but the front continues to peel.

Even though the weather did not cooperate, the crew was professional and very pleasant. Work took longer than expected because of the weather, but they made sure to let me know if they wouldn't be coming that day. Clean up was excellent each night.

They did an excellent job! Very punctual and through. Very efficient! The guys were very easy to work with and very careful working around the landscaping. Would highly recommend them!

Went well. Took about a week. Works were very professional. My neighbors have all complimented me on how much better the house looks.

I found the convenience of scheduling an estimate appointment on line very nice. The owner phoned and attempted to move the appointment up by 1 hour but I was unable to accommodate this. He arrived on time, appeared to be professional and knowledgeable. Two weeks later and we have received no estimate and no follow up communications. We have selected another contractor to work with.

Certa Pro was the only painter that seemed to want to bid on my job since it wasn't very big. The crew was very friendly that came out and painted and they made sure to really cover the surfaces well. The owners were very professional and actually called me back to make sure the job was done to my satisfaction and to tell me that I accidentally over paid! When I wrote the check I thought they had told me $850 but the job was bid at $815 so they made sure to refund me the difference. I would have never known! I give an A+ for honesty!!!!

Excellent job and good communication throughout the process. Was able to get a quote quickly after initial contact and quoted price was competitive with that of another contractor. Mike provided great information and guidance to help us decide what we wanted to do; having Sue available to help with color selection was a bonus. Mike also went out of his way to try to help us line up contractors for some additional work on the house. Starting the job took a little longer than I originally expected but they can't control the weather. I would not hesitate to recommend Certapro and expect to contact them about other jobs in the future. The crew did great work, took great care of the property, and left everything spotless.

Painting the exterior of a home is always a weather related job. As the time approached for painting job, CertaPro Painters kept us advised of the exact date of the start of the job. When they arrived, they were very professional. They went over our expectations of the job and answered any questions we had. Each day they arrived on time and cleaned up at the end of the day. Our home and yard were always neat. If they needed to cancel because of rain (remember how rainy September was) they called to let us know. We love the way our home looks with the fresh coat of paint. They took the time to prep the house by power washing it and then carefully covered the areas that were not painted. We are very happy with the results and would hire them again.

The paint job made a stunning difference with the appearance of my home. I was completely satisfied and they did the work in a timely fashion with total clean-up every evening. CertaPro also recommended a company that did some sun-room replacement windows which was a terrific way to avoid the expensive lead base clean-up necessary to restore and paint them. We had a wonderful experience with CertaPro Painters of Kalamazoo. We had a specific color to match to, CertaPro handled that with ease. Everything from consulting to the estimate was exceptional. The knowledge on the front end and skill of the painters made the whole experience quite simple on our end. Everything was straight forward and went exactly as we were told it would. The painters came with all paint and supplies they needed and completed the job within a few days. At the end of each day they cleaned everything up so we would have barely known they were there. We are very pleased with the job and have gotten so many compliments from our neighbors!!!

We are extremely happy with the results. The company was very professional, and did a great job. We have a large 1960's ranch that is aluminum sided. It had never been painted. Certapro's painters prepped the whole house, painted the siding and all the trim. The painters were courteous and professional, and cleaned up everything before they left. I was also happy with the color consultation provided by the company. She had great ideas, very current and fresh. Our house was previously white, and Certapro provided samples and lots of options for both the house and trim colors. We chose a medium gray, white trim and a green door. I feel like I have a brand new house! It's beautiful. We have had SO many compliments from our neighbors. I would definitely recommend Certapro!

We were new to the Kalamazoo area last July; CertaPro came locally recommended to us. Mike returned my call within a day, and was prompt with the bid. Before the work even began the Watsons were patient and accommodating to our (changing) schedule, which was tight between the closing and move-in date. Sue's consultation on colors and finishes was helpful, and the work was then completed efficiently and neatly by Russ and Steve. Every worker was friendly, dependable and professional. The house is fresh and pretty. Calls/emails have been returned quickly for questions and/or additional work. We will definitely call CertaPro in the future.

Estimate prepared promptly and well within the range of other estimates. Most of the work - drywall repair, priming, cut in work - done by one painter; helpers on a couple of days with rolling. Work completed on time with excellent results. The durable finish obtained from the paint CertaPro recommended is far superior to that of the original paint job done by the developer in 2007. Cleanup was thorough and fixtures replaced without incident. Overall, a very professional job. We intend to have them out again for bedroom and bath painting in the future.

They took a long time to give the quote and they quoted the double of what other company quoted. He was a bit difficult to work with.
