AJ'S Helping Hands

When I decided to surprise my husband with a fully installed in-ground basketball hoop on his birthday I knew it was time to call AJ again! I contacted him about a month prior to my husband's birthday to be sure he was free on that morning, and since he was I scheduled for him to come out on the morning of my husband's birthday and help me put the hoop together before my husband got home from work. About a week before the appointment I verified that AJ was still planning on coming out, and put all my plans in motion. Even though we now live in Plainwell, about 45 minutes away from his usual territory he was happy to come out and help. He arrived right on time, and we got straight to work, even though it was only about 30 degrees outside that morning (who would have thought in the middle of April?!?). He remembered me from the first time I called on him, so we chatted while we worked. It was a fun morning despite the frigid cold and the frustratingly non-explicit directions. It took us 4 hours, and my husband got home right towards the end of the assembly, but the hoop was up and the surprise went off without a hitch. AJ is a great person to work with! He's punctual, fun, kind, light-hearted, and the hardest worker I've ever seen! I will definitely not hesitate to call him again if I need help with anything around the house! He even offered to babysit for my 2 and 4 year old kids at some time! And yes, I will take him up on that at some point. :-)

AJ was amazing! My family just bought a house about a 20 minute drive away from our apartment. Moving was crazy, and once we finally got most of our stuff moved into the house, I realized last minute that I wasn't going to have the time or energy to get the apartment cleaned by myself in order to turn in the keys. I called 6 different people I found on Angie's list praying that someone would have availability to help me out the next day. AJ called me back right away and said that he was free all day and could come help whenever I needed it, and for however long it took. He came in on Monday morning, right on time, and didn't stop working until everything was done. He even offered to help me carry the last of the boxes back down to my car. He was very nice and friendly. We talked the whole time we were cleaning. But the conversation didn't slow him down at all. Four and a half hours later that apartment was cleaner than it was when we moved in! He was even able to almost completely get out an old stain on the carpet where my daughter spilled Redpop! I was very impressed with AJ, and I am definately saving his number in my phone to call any time I need help with anything around the house!

He arrived on time. Work non-stop. Was very careful. My garage has not looked this good in over 7 years. AJ cleared out and organized everything in my garage and it was a mess. I will be calling him soon to tackle my basement next!
