It was fine and they did a good job!

It was good! They were timely and they did the work when they said they would do it, and for the price they had quoted. They were thorough in the inspection of the roof and I was very happy with the work they did!

After having some joker tell me it would be "Under $1,000" to repair a few shingles, Grennan construction was a relief to work with. Fred was extremely helpful and responsive. I called him yesterday afternoon and described my problem. As promised, Fred arrived at promptly at 8:30 this morning and was up on my roof in the rain repairing a few shingles that has blow off in a storm. He was very professional and didn't attempt to over charge me just because he thought he could (what a relief from many contractors in this area). I will be calling Grennan Construction FIRST from now on!

Grennan Construction was very responsive to my requests. I worked directly with the owner, Fred. He was very attentive to any questions I had. All questions were completely answered before the job began so there were no surprises. The roofing job took a little longer than originally estimated, but this was okay since the shingles were properly installed. The quality of work and the type of energy efficient, lifetime shingles we selected justified the price. If there were ever any issues for this job, Grennan Construction resolved them quickly. They were very open with communication and stand behind their work for years. From my experience, Grennan Construction is an honest company that does quality work. I highly recommend them.

I interviewed 6 companies and went with them. They were knowledgeable, personable, and would work with me on different things. The went out of the way to protect the bushes and shrubs. They took about a week do to the project. They were conscientious of doing a good job. I liked the culture of the company. I would highly recommend them.

BUYER BEWARE: Fred Grennan came out to do the initial estimate around the end of August and the presentation and information inlcuded that showed that Fred was a Certainteed trained roofer and other pertinent info that was presented was very impressive. Foregoing other less expensive estimates from other companies that kept calling me to earn my business, I went with Grennan construction right away and felt pretty good and signed the paperwork on the spot. After a couple of weeks the crew was out at the house, Fred was no where to be seen. Dan was the crew leader and told that they needed a few days to complete job. In addition 2 days before they even started I called Fred to ask him about a promotion that they had initiated giving customers 500 dollars off for a job over 3,000 dollars, he explained politely that the promotion only applies to future customers. Since I did not negotiate/haggle and I signed the day of the estimate I figured that might be taken into consideration,butit was not. At the end of the job, Dan let me know that they were done. At I am assuming that Fred had not been out to the job yet since there were several things that I being the owner had to call them out to do. The drip edges on the roof were NOT replaced. The Chimney counter flashing, the front garage flashing, and other flashing on top of the garage was not replaced and is still not replaced. One of the flashing pieces that was added to the side of the house was aluminum and just nailed on with no attempt to make it look nice or to take quality into consideration, now has been painted after a service call. There was an empty bag of shingles on the floor by the side of the house that was not picked up. The exhaust vents that needed to be painted were not complete and are painted now after a service call. The gutters that Mr.Grennan said that they would re-pitch to provide better drainage were not complete and are still not complete. The issues above were all noticed by me a novice at best who has very little knowledge and got most of the recommended MINIMUM install requirements from not just a local builder but CERTAINTEED, the company who certified the OWNER. Finally, the job seems like it was subcontracted and I do not even know if the crew was bonded, seemed very suspicious of me each day I would come home from work. The point is as an owner one should expect a level of satisfaction and quality at the end of the job, not needing the owner a NON PROFESSIONAL to point out shortcomings. This leaves me with a lack of confidence in my roof and especially the things I havent caught and cannot see under the surface, the felt paper, the nailing application, the plywood repair. Too many questions, and the construction company leaves it up to the owner to call him out. I am way too busy at work to do his job.

They were awesome! I would highly recommend them. The owner takes care of everything. He comes out and personally does the measuring. He talks to you and goes over everything. He is always returning calls. He is really into his business. I can't wait until we do some more remodeling so I can call him again.

The work was excellent. Fred Grennan was very cooperative and knowledgeable and went out of his way to be helpful. Grennan was recommended to us by a friend and I would recommend Grennan to anyone. Price was less than I expected and the workmanship was very good

THIS COMPANY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB ON MY ROOF. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THEIR WORK. THEY CLEANED UP ALL THE SHINGLES AND NAILS AFTERWARDS. THEY DID NOT DAMAGE MY FLOWERS THAT WERE UNDER THE AREA THAT WAS BEING FIXED.
