Description of Work: They replaced 13 of the 15 original windows (house built in 1966). They also replaced the original siding and not-original gutters. The salesman Tim was a joy to work with and very patient as we worked through this major project. The installer Steve and his crew were very professional and great people to have around for the duration of the project.

Description of Work: Purchased 12 new windows. I went over and above what a customer should do. Bought lunch for the crew for two days, removed the snow to make all windows accessable so the crew had to remove NO snow, bought doughnuts and had coffee available at all times for both days. |They bent some trim metal around one of the front windows. This was because of a mistake on their part. I called three times and still waiting for them to fix. |I paid them 50% down and the balance upon completion, BIG mistake!

 + -1 moreThe whole experience with Clarkston Window and Door was great. The quote for windows was very competitive with the others that we received. The installers arrived promptly on the day that was scheduled and spent a long day installing all of our windows, working past 5:00 in order to get it done within just one day. They left the house just as clean as it was when they arrived, vacuumed after the installation was over, and re-hung our blinds and curtains. They answered my questions after installation and responded to my concerns. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend using their products and services.
Description of Work: Clarkston Window and Door removed all existing windows and re-installed new windows in our house (10 windows).

 + -1 moreClarkston Window came through completely. We also hired the window installer to do some other things while they were there. They touched up on things we hadn't even asked them to. Very satisfied and would hire them again for windows or whatever, would also recommend highly to anyone.
Description of Work: We had the windows replaced on our old enclosed front porch to help make it more of a liveable space.

 + 0 moreNot only was the salesperson Jim extremely knowledgeable about not only the products that his company represented, but he was also able to tell me the difference between his products and the ones offered from other companies in regard to material, workmanship and warranty. He was able to make suggestions based on his many years of service in the window field, so that I not only ended up with a beautiful product, but an entirely new look for my home. The installation guys were awesome, taking care to clean up after themselves and to go over how to properly clean and care for my new windows. They were punctual, polite and fastidious. I believe in helping Michigan family businesses thrive, and choosing Clarkston Window helped "the local guy" without compromising quality, workmanship and overall satisfaction.
Description of Work: I replaced existing windows with more energy efficient ones. I choose Northstar products and couldn't be more pleased! I also replaced my front door to one with a window in it.

 + -1 moreThe installers were moved our furniture out of the way and removed our old windows and doors so carefully that no restorative work was required. They did extensive prep work to ensure that all windows and doors were insulated and sealed. We were initially concerned that they were using a non-big brand name window, but the Canadian North Star windows have proven to be an excellent choice. We are getting less heat from the sun and less noise. We are very pleased with both the product and the experience.
Description of Work: We had all of our windows and sliding glass doors replaced as part of a restoration after a tornado. Our contractor hired Clarkston to provide and install the windows.
