Brian (owner) took care of all the initial contact/set up, and checked in on the team mid-project. Mike, the crew leader was a good communicator, checking with me whenever he was uncertain about a particular branch before the crew cut it. The team arrived later than originally scheduled, but let me know this 30 minutes ahead so I was able to adjust. The team was fast, efficient, polite, and cleaned up thoroughly afterward. I was very pleased with the results.

Excellent crew, went very well, worked very hard. Brian was great to work with. Would hire again for sure.

Good timing and good results so far. Time will tell if trimming improves tree growth and performance. Brian was responsive and easy to work with.

The crew showed up on time and delivered a very full 8 hours of work. The workers were friendly and very flexible to my requests for small jobs as they came up. I definitely felt that I got my money's worth, have recommended Spears to my neighbors, and would recommend them for any large project.

Went fine. I didn't even realize they had showed up until weeks later, though. I wasn't home and no paperwork was left and I had been super distracted with other things. But they did show up and do the work discussed.

Scheduled appointment with company and they did not show. Called owner who stated they would be over as soon as other job was finished, about an hour. Workers did not show. Phoned owner again who said his team was at my home now. I told no, thay are not imnhere now. He said he would check and call me back. An hour went by and i called him again, he stated they had two people in my city with the same first name and they would be right over when that job was finished. I instructed him that his team must be tired by now and he agreed reporting that two of his crew walked off the job when told they needed to do one more job today. I instructed him that this was unsafe and I did not want them coming over and getting hurt. We rescheduled for following week as rain is forecasted for the rest of week. The crew came over and I had to leave but they completed the job and my yard was very clean they did a good job! I would recommend them, and already have recommended them to others.

Brian's crew was in the yard first thing in the morning and stayed all day. They were polite, courteous and appeared to know what they needed to do. There were several crew members and not once did I see anyone standing around waiting for something to do. Brian came and counseled me one one if our bigger trees, gave me the facts and helped me make a decision. I never felt like he wanted to make money over considering the good of the tree or us as customers. Aside from him owning his own business, which is not an easy task, he is such a nice man. I would certainly use him again except I have no trees left! All I can say is if you need work done I can't imagine anyone being unhappy using Spears Tree Service. I KNOW you cannot please everyone and sometimes life happens but do not hesitate to call Brian. Oh and here is a concept for some other businesses on Angie's List....Brian, ACTUALLY RETURNS YOUR CALLS AND SHOWS UP TO DO THE JOB! Quick note: it is now May, all outdoor contractors are busy. Many secured jobs in January!!! If it is not an emergency you may have to wait longer than RIGHT NOW : ) Thank you Brian and all your crew. There is always someone walking by our house saying how much better it looks.

They were able to pull down the large trees without damaging my neighbor's pool or fence. Most of the trees were over my neighbor's yard and they didn't break or destroy anything in my neighbor's yard. This year, they took out a spruce tree. I called them about 10 a.m. and the tree was out and gone by 2 p.m. It was $250 but that included the shrubs and stump grinding.

They did an excellent job. Every worker worked hard They were fast, polite and willing to do their best to satisfy their customer. They cleaned up what they cut down and as well as the old existing branches. Brian is very pleasant to work with and the price was very reasonable. Great job Brian and the crew and thank you very much for the work!

After waiting 3 week for getting a tree trim job service, the provider ask us to go to angie's list to get our prepaid the money back. The service we purchased was $200 for $400 tree servcie. The cited reason was we are too far from them but that was not told in the beginning. I think they are getting busy and deciding to drop their commitment they had with Angie's Big Deal customers.

Very well, I met with Glen he walked through my yard and we went over every detail that I had concerns about, I made a phone call the next day to schedule my appointment and the guys showed the very next day, did a professional job Glen walked through again with and showed me everything was complete, it was above and beyond professionalism and I appreciate that.

Brian discussed what we wanted done and worked with me throughout. All work was excellent and clean up was exceptional. I would definitely use them again in the future.

A very thorough job was done. All items removed and cleanup was complete. 4 Pine Trees. 5 Tall Hedges 2 large Cedars. Including cut level to the ground.

The team did a fantastic job of trimming the limbs I wanted taken down and removing others that were beginning to rot. The hole process took less than an hour as they had a team of 4 guys and a crane. They were very professional and made sure to clean up and rake the background afterwards and paid special attention to my landscape lights. I wish all service professionals were this good!

About 2 years ago, when they came out to quote, this company was beating price for all the others. Their 2 big locust tree REMOVAL price is so low almost matched to others just Trimming price. It was a slow season-winter but they brought 5 workers (including owner Himself!) to work over 6 hours to carefully removing my 2 big trees on backyard. They not only ground stumps for those two but also extra ground for few extra small tree roots for free!! What most amazing part is that I called this company this year for getting a quote for front yard Oak tree removal. The owner-David came out for quote and checked his 2yrs ago job. Since it was nasty locust tree, even though major stumps gone, the remainers keep shooting up new sprouts and there were some extended roots over my green. He promised me not only getting my front yard tree removal done with lowest price $300. He also offered extra stumps roots removal to cover his last job. What an awesome company is. They are truly the best tree company that i refered again and again.

Everything about their service was fine. They even did my job with light rain coming down and patches of snow and ice on the ground. I didn't have them do any chipping and shredding of the tops and limbs because I have township brush collection, but they do have a big, commercial chipper and shredder pulled by a truck that they don't have listed to the left of this screen under "services." If I did not have brush collection, I would definitely hire them to chip and shred brush piles. In the future, I plan to have them come back and remove some stumps("stump grinding").

Called Spears tree service to have them come out and remove some unwanted bushes I had in my yard. While on the job I was looking into possibly getting some other ones trimmed and Brian was a great help with showing and explaining what he would do and how much it would improve the look of the house. I would highly recommend this company as they did a great service and were very reliable

Trimmed and removed trees on my property I was referred to this company by a friend. They were very prompt and professional from the estimate to the clean up. We called and they came out to give us an estimate and the job was done within 24 hours. Very professional, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. We have used them in the past and have also referred them a few times and will definitely use them again in the future.
