Nowry & Hale Land Surveying LLC

We had never contracted for surveying services before, but Nowry & Hale made the process easy. We secured estimates from three companies; the other two included services we didn't need, were much more costly, and were not available for timely scheduling. Nowry & Hale was responsive, matched their services to our needs, offered competitive fees, provided a formal proposal, and scheduled in a timely manner. The crew arrived as scheduled, and did a great job - the survey tech thoroughly explained the process, and the crew clearly marked the boundaries we needed. We would hire this company again.

Michael was fantastic to work with. They got out to our property on the promised date at the promised time and completed the survey. Prior to the actual survey I had a lot of questions and Michael spent a lot of time with me answering them. I would highly recommend.

They were very professional and well equipped with the latest equipment. I called them and one week later they were on site and performed the field work. One week after that, I had the needed survey paperwork. All of our contacts were either by phone or electronic which helped a great deal to shorten the turn around time. I can only speak to their residential survey capabilities but, for that purpose, I highly recommend them.

Nowry & Hale Land Surveying promised to call me back with a quote for a lot survey in a subdivision. Never got a call back...it's been a week. So if you're interested in wasting time, this is a great place to talk to.

Entire process was perfect from the beginning. Great communication and fast service! Alan and Mike were friendly, polite and professional. They surveyed my property AND the two neighbors lots. They walked around with me when they were finished to explain everything and answer any questions. They also helped me with a decision I needed to make regarding a fence placement. They honored the quote they had given me. I received three certified copies of the survey within three days of the completed work in the mail! I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone who needs their property surveyed! Thanks to Nowry and Hale! :)

Mr. Nowry was awesome!! He called right away to give us a quote and to set up a day and time to come out and survey our property. He was very professional, thorough and prompt. We would recommend using his service to anyone! He was by far the least expensive, but pricing did not deter from the professional way in which he conducted himself, or the service he provided.

It honestly hurts to have to give them a bad rating. Back in April I called to set up my property line survey. We scheduled it for a week after my call and we exchanged emails perfectly. They informed me when they would be there, how the process would go, when I should expect our papers, and when/how much payment would be. Seems great, extremely easy, and the best part was I didn't need to leave work to be there with them. The ONLY issue I had, after they did the survey and gave me the payment invoice, we ended up playing phone and email tag. There is no way to pay them online, and I assume they do not have an actual receptionist, as I always got the voicemail. As a customer, and as a professional, I can not express how annoying it is to try to pay someone for services, and not be able to get anything but an email or voicemail. It is now June 25th and I was JUST able to pay them this morning, well over a month later. If the payment options were better/easier, I would suggest them to friends/family. Honestly, I wouldn't want anyone else to deal with the headache of just trying to make a payment. Especially when it's $650.

Mike Nowry was very quick to send me an estimate when I called. I called a few other surveyors and his price was the most reasonable. He took the time to look at a Google image of my property and based the price on that - rather than just a flat fee. I appreciated that. He scheduled us for two weeks later and arrived as they said. My husband was home and said the interaction was very professional. We've recommended him to our neighbors as well.

The quote was delivered promptly and Mr. Nowry seemed pleasant and helpful via email. We did not have the survey completed because it was more money than we planned to spend at this time, but we will likely go with Nowry and Hale when the time is right!

We hired Nowry and Hale to survey our residential lot in Dearborn and provide us with a certified drawing of their findings. They were very personable and agreed to do the job for a very competitive price that we could afford. The county plats for our section of the city date from the 1800's and presented quite a challenge. Their experience and knowledge enabled them to complete the task in a timely and accurate manner. The final documents provided were of excellent quality and included all the elements that we had requested. We would definitely use Nowry and Hale again as well as recommend their services to others. Nowry & Hale were GREAT!! I would definitely call them back to do surveying for me again. I recently bought my house and am looking to fence in my backyard (I have a dog). Instead of placing my fence all willy-nilly, I wanted to make sure I was placing it on what truly was my property--I didn't want to encroach on my neighbors. I had called a total of 3 companies for estimates, and not only was Nowry & Hale prompt in getting their estimate to me, they were the only one to even bother calling me back!! (Apparently my job was too small for the other companies I called or something...) I went with them because their quote seemed reasonable and was significantly lower than what I had expected. They also had such great ratings here on Angie's List that I figured I wasn't going wrong. Michael was able to come out only 3 days after I had said I'd like to go with Nowry & Hale, and he was wonderful to work with. He and his other co-worker showed up a bit earlier than expected due to a cancelled job in the area, and in a matter of an hour they had my entire yard sighted up and staked out. When they were done working, Michael took the time to walk me around and point out all the corner markers. He also made it a point to show me where there were any buildings, trees, or fences encroaching on my property--and there were a couple! Those pesky neighbors....tsk, tsk. A week or so later, a very nicely done drawing of my land survey was mailed to me. Now I can get on with putting up my fence and I know that it's truly going on MY property. Thanks Nowry & Hale!

He was quite pleased with the people. In fact we've got them coming out again next week some time to resurvey the property because we are buying some extras. They surveyed our property and we found out that the border was different than what we thought, so the lady next to us is going to sell us some land. They have to resurvey it so that we can get a legal description and buy the land that we thought was ours initially. My husband said that it was a good price and that they were fast. They are very pleasant to deal with. They did great on the actual job. They are giving us a great price on the resurvey too that we have to have.

Very professional and prompt land survey service. They showed up when they said they would, got right to work, and made sure I understood the boundaries of my property before they left. Also, they were charging nearly half what the other 5 land survey companies were charging. The closest to Nowry & Hale wanted $900 for the same service, and the rest were over $1000.
