This was the best money I ever spent. Not only was he knowledgeable about our old home, but he was was also very professional. He went above and beyond. The report you receive will have an amazing amount of information in it. He includes photos and detail explanation of the issue paired with resources to help solve the issue. After having a bad experience with another inspector, I can easily say Milestone is the best and worth every penny.

My experience with Dave was excellent. Dave was very professional, knowledgeable, punctual and interpersonal. He provided excellence advice on completing repairs around the house and was able to detect "hard-to-find" issues. I would definitely recommend Dave to first time home buyers because he explains things in "simply-to-understand" terms.

Very responsive came out within 48 hours of making contact and had final inspection the following day.

Our inspector did an excellent job and carefully inpsected the entire home. He found some issues with the home that would have ended up costing us a lot of money to repair and we did not buy the house. We will use Milestone for our next home inspection.

I had a potential need for testing and inspection services in my home, and found Milestone Inspections using this web site. They were responsive to my questions and offered great advice even though I ultimately did not purchase a service from them.

Dave from Milestone did a fantastic job! He was very easy to work with. He went over that property thoroughly and found many things that I believe other inspectors would have missed. His rates, for the level and quality of service he provides is excellent. He even refunded us some money when he found that something did not cost as much as he had expected! He could have easily said nothing and we would have NEVER known. I have bought or been a part of the buying process for several homes and I can say that the time and effort that Dave put in for inspecting this property was easily head and shoulders above the others in my experience. He walked the roof, crawled the crawl space, checked the attic, and pretty much went everywhere. He took plenty of photos, used them in his report, and put arrows in the photos to clearly point out what he was discussing in the report. If you are looking at buying a new home (or even if you are selling a home), I would VERY strongly recommend getting Dave to do the inspection for you. You will not regret it. Even if he finds nothing, you will have the confidence and comfort of knowing the house you buy (or sell) is truly in good shape. I would/will go to Dave and have my friends and family go to Dave for any and all future real estate inspections. As mentioned above, I had Dave inspect another property. He found a number of very expensive things that the owner had no clue about. He once again saved me from a painful mistake of a purchase. I would recommend Dave/Milestone in a heartbeat to anyone.

After a prior home fell through due to an appraisal issue, Dave performed an inspection on the second home we were looking at. We hired Dave due to this reputation on Craig's list. Dave seems to be fairly backlogged with work on regular basis, so unfortunately he was not available to do our first home inspection in timeframe required. Dave completed a thorough inspection of our home from attic to basement taking over 5 hours to complete. Dave really got into the details of the home and identified our major and minor areas of concern. On the positive side - Dave was thorough, created an excellent report with pictures, and was good in responding to phone calls before and after the inspection. Dave uses and electronic radon monitor which is better than other's more basic tests. On the improvements side, it would really be beneficial to have infrared scanning completed as part of the inspection especially where there are concerns about water issues as we had (after inspection Dave told me he could sub-contract this through him if desired - but I didn't know at time of appointment). I know an inspector must error on the side of caution and they cannot specifically state the 'ideal' fix to many issues. In our case, Dave identified many potential water issues - which frankly scared my wife and I about the home, and others we had look at the report. Dave's primary recommended was to have additional infrared testing, which we had done, but this was subsequent to the report (and we needed to mentally recover from the thought that we may not have the major issues originally thought after there were no issues identified). Overall I liked Dave and his work and would recommend him to others. For my piece of mind, having infrared testing done for water or insulation issues is well worth the cost and I would make sure I include in any future inspections.

Milestone Inspections LLC. Went very well. I had them do two inspections because the first one did not go through. He was here for four hours. He checked absolutely everything. He checked the outlets, the light switches, the plumbing plates. He spent a lot of time in the attic and crawl space. He went out to the lake, he checked the pools, everything. He did a great job. I would highly recommend them. I would use them again in the future.

We had an A+ experience with Dave Richardson. He was friendly, punctual, professional, extremely thorough, unbiased, and very knowledgable. Dave made sure that we understood every step of the inspection process; he patiently explained the condition of the property as well as some possible causes and solutions. Our three hour inspection (as I mentioned, he is very thorough) ended at 6:30 pm on a Friday evening and we had his detailed report on Saturday afternoon. We have moved several times and this is the best inspection that we have ever had. Dave's easy going demeanor makes him a pleasure to work with, which we would certainly do again!

His overall inspection was thorough and complete. He emailed me a full document of what needed to be fixed on the house by priority. There were no surprises when I purchsed my house and I would recommend him to everyone. I purposly waited to fill out this review to make sure there were no additional issues to deal with on the home.

I had 2 home inspections performed by Dave in the last 6 months. The first was an older home built in the 1950's and "flipped" and the second was a new construction. Dave was punctual and detailed in his work. He found multiple, major issues in the first house which led to me walking away from that home. After that experience, I tell people that hiring him as my inspector was the best money I ever spent. I knew that any further inspections would be performed by him. When I had him, inspect the second home, which I now own, he not only did another great inspection, but also showed me how to operate the furnace and gas log fire place. When he finished the inspection and congratulated me on finding this house, I knew that it was a well built home.

David's response to setting up an appointment was quick. He was on time the day of the inspection. He was very professional and took the time to answer any and all questions for all involved during the inspection. He went above and beyond! His inspection not only impressed my husband and I, but also our realtor who has been in the business for years. Dave was waiting at the property for me to get there. I pretty much followed him around while he took pictures and talked aloud describing any problems or future problems that may happen. He also point out good things such as recent repairs.

I do not think I could have asked for a more pleasant experience. I called late in the day on Wednesday (6pm) and received a prompt return call. Talked with Dave for about 5 minutes on the phone and gave him all the required information. He scheduled a Sunday inspection to fit into my schedule and time frame needed per my purchase agreement. I am a first time home buyer and he went through everything imaginable with me on the house including things that he probably did not need to take time explaining which was greatly appreciated. The final written report is easy to understand and very comprehensive explaining the things that need immediate attention as well as those that will need to be addressed at a later date. I would recommend to anyone needing a home inspection to use Milestone Inspections.

I subscribed to Angie's List because my family and I just moved to the area. We are looking to purchase a house and Dave's company was at the top of the list. After reading everyone's comments, I called him up and set up an appointment to inspect a house that we are hoping to buy. We were NOT disappointed. He was FANTASTIC! He was thorough and meticulous and provided us a report the next day. I would ABSOLUTELY reccomend him to anyone. He was great!

Let me say I am a perfectionist and expect perfection. Dave lived up to that! His detailed inspection and amazing and speedy report was worth way more than what I paid him. Do not hesitate to hire Dave, you will not be disappointed! I'll be using him again since he discovered a ton of problems with what I thought was the house of my dreams.

I needed a home inspection quickly, so I signed up for Angies List just for this. I found a bunch of different companies but Milestone Inspections LLC had the most positive review, so I went with them. They did not disappoint! I emailed Dave early on Saturday morning and he got back to me within an hour, I needed the inspection done within 5 days and he provided a time on Tuesday. Dave showed up early to the appointment and was very professional. He provided GREAT feedback and did not sugar coat anything, this was very helpful for us to know what we may have potential issues with if we due purchase the home. He dumbed it down for me and answered any and all questions I had. If you need a home inspection, I would use Dave!

House inspection took over three hours. Radon not very long but I was not present. David Richardson seemed quite knowledgeable, and gave me a lot of information regarding proper home maintainence. I have waited so long to post this review because what good is a review if you are reviewing an inspection, and two months after you post it, the roof falls in (literally and figuratively). Well three months in, so far so good. He was very accurate in his evaluation; picked up almost everything. He missed a roof leak, but suspected I may have a problem where it is leaking (very small, maybe it was fixed by the previous owner, but the inside wall was not repaired). Overall, I am very impressed with his skills as an inspector, and an overal rough estimator of repairs (within 10% of all repairs we had to make). I would recommend to a friend.

The inspection was performed in the presence of my husband and father. He performed a very thorough inspection, recommended a septic and well inspector to us and gave us tips on how to make the most of that inspection. My father says that he was the best inspector he has ever worked with. He has purchased 4 homes, built 2 and owns 3 office building so has worked with a lot of different inspectors.

David was awesome! After reading his reviews onAngies list I decided to give him a call. he didn't answer the phone but called back the same day and was very accommodating to my schedule. My fiancee met him at the house and David talked him through the inspection. david gave him a lot of tips and thoughts on how to improve the house. that same night David emailed us with a few concerns that he wanted us to be aware of before he sent the actual report. The next morning we got a GIANT file with a ton of detailed notes and a lot of picture evidence. he gave us estimates on the cost of repair and the urgency of each repair I feel really satisfied with his work, and know that he did a thorough job. I highly recommend him for your next inspection.

My husband did not want me to write this review because he wanted to hold on to his best kept secret to prevent Milestone from getting to busy to assist us in the future. He contacted them to do a home inspection for us and was blown away by how knowledgable, dependable, thorough, affordable, and kind they were. I won't say much more because I want to keep my home happy, but if you need a good home inspector, call Milestone. You will NOT be disappointed!

When I first called Dave, his voicemail informed me he was on vacation, wouldn't have access to his phone until Friday, and first available appointment was Monday, August 29th, 2011. Again, this was in his voicemail greeting. Talk about forward thinking. I left the voicemail to tentatively schedule my inspection, and he still managed to call me back the same day. This guy is prompt. Dave arrived to the inspection 10 minutes early. Throughout the 2 hour + inspection, he provided a lot of insight. You could tell Dave is a detail-oriented guy, he covered every inch of the house. He was able to articulate what 'issues' were urgent, the costs involved for everything he identified, and overall where the home fit in the spectrum of all inspections he's done. As a first time homebuyer, Dave gave me confidence regarding the current condition of the property.
