Milestone Inspections LLC

Great experience! At first I thought the price was really high because the only other home inspection I had done before was only $300. I went with Milestone because of the recommendation from Angie's List. I'm glad I did. Dave came out and stayed for hours looking at everything. He than pointed out the "biggest" problems and a few of the little ones. A few days later I received a complete report on the inspection. The report included pictures, price estimates, and other useful information. I would definitely use again!

Milestone Inspections LLC were good. The person was very thorough and he took time and explained behind what and why he was saying, he was very informative I guess. We wanted to use Milestone Inspections LLC the second time but they were too booked.

He is excellent. He walks through everything. He not only goes through the figures but he also goes through all the clauses. He doesn’t rush through. He takes all the time to go through everything to make sure everything is explained. He doesn’t leave anything. He was just great on all of the three houses that I had him inspect. He was critical in making me decide which one to go with. He is pricey but he added some extra things. He is very busy and so he wouldn’t call right back.

Dave was great. He was very punctual and very thorough. He found quite a few things that will hopefully allow us to negotiate with the sellers because they were substantial. He encouraged my husband to walk the inspection with him and explained everything he found. He would also would explain options for repair - including do-it-yourself options. I don't think it could have gone any better. I scheduled the whole thing through email and Dave was nice enough to do his best to accommodate us in the 7 day window we negotiated in the purchase agreement. Very happy!

Most said they do not do that, one never returned the call. Milestone Inspections owner returned my call almost immediately, spend time talking with me to see if the issue could be solved over the phone. It could not. |So owner came to house to ascertain source of unknown odor. He inspected the house thoroughly, including furnace and attic; noting exposed aspestice in the process and indicating how to attend to it. |Determined that the source of odor was ozone and directed how to resolve it. |He followed up his inspection with a written report.

David is a great inspector. He inspected three properties for me. In the first 2 houses he found multiple problems including mold, leaking roof, etc. The third property was in much better shape. He still found some problems which needed to be addressed , but overall the house passed the inspection. He also performed a radon test on the last property. I was very happy with David's inspections. He always came on time. He took a long time to look at all the details. After every inspection he sent a detailed (about 40-50 pages) report with pictures and estimates for the repairs needed. I move in the house 3 months ago. David was right about all the details he pointed in the report. I called David for advice couple months ago, and he was very helpful. I would definitely recommend his services. He saved my family form buying 2bad houses.

Dave arrived on time and well prepared. He educated me on potential problems with suggested solutions. He was professional and pleasant. I enjoyed my interaction with him. Highly recommended.

I hired Milestone Inspection to do an inspection on a house I was interested in buying. Dave from Milestone showed up on time, did a very thorough inspection and, took the time to answer any question I had. The report he gave me was very detailed and easy to understand. He pointed out some things I never even thought to look for. He did not rush through the job like some inspectors tend to do. In fact, he was on the job for a bout 4 hours start to finish. I chose Milestone for two reasons. First - they have great reviews on Angie's list. Second, Dave from Milestone is a certified home inspector as well as a Civil Engineer. I felt at ease knowing he knew what he was talking about when it come to the foundation, property drainage and structural integrity of the house I was buying. I was not dissappointed. I would highly recommend Dave / Milestone to anybody looking for a trustworthy home inspector.

I found Dave on Angie's list and requested an inspection online. Based on his reviews and price compared to other companies I had called, I felt good about hiring Dave. He promptly called me back to confirm the appointment. He showed up on time, and immediately got to work. He first examined the outside of the house and went on the roof. He took pictures the entire time and was extremely thorough in his verbal explanations as he went along. I felt comfortable asking him any question I had, even if it seemed silly. He took the time to answer my questions and would go as far into an explanation as I requested. He thoroughly inspected the basement, main floor (ranch), roof and attic, as well as the outside of the house and the grounds. He made several recommendations as he went along including priority concerns, and things to keep in mind for the future. He also provided various solutions to the problems. He checked all plumbing (pipes, drains, traps, ran water), electrical (circuit box, all outlets, all meters), gas lines (pipes, checked for leaks), furnace, water heater, humidifier, AC, moisture levels, insulation, windows, doors, even the cement in our driveway. Nothing seemed to escape his eye. He also provided guidance for how we should speak with future plumbers, electricians, and heating and cooling professionals. The inspection took just over 3 hours. He even recommended a cheaper option for us to test the Radon levels (vs. his test at $125). In hindsight, while we did save money on the test, the hassle was not worth it, and in the future I would have the inspector perform the radon test. The next day we were emailed a 40+ page report complete with pictures, explanations, and cost estimates for repairs. This report was vital for us in our negotiation with the sellers of the home. We were able to negotiate a $4,000 concession from the sellers to put toward the cost of necessary repairs. Dave's report also rates the repairs as priority, or within the next year. Everybody who has seen our report has been very impressed with the level of detail. Dave even made himself available to me after the inspection was completed to answer any follow-up questions I had. Dave was extremely patient with my 1 year old (who was very interested in what he was doing), and he remained professional at all times. He is a no-nonsense person who does his job well. He worked quickly, but took the time to double and triple check things if necessary. We would definitely call Dave in the future. Thanks, Dave!

David was very responsive. Whenever either me or my husband called, he would return our call within a short period of time, usually within 30 minutes, even after hours. The inspection went well and David is very honest. The report prioritized improvements with costs estimates. He provided a thorough description of needed repairs and even gave suggestions for cosmetic additions. He walked on the roof, searched the basement, and all other areas of the home. He was extremely knowledgable about older homes, which was extremely helpful. It was easy to trust David and we certainly recommend him for other Angie's List Members.

Dave found mold and a large radon problem in what we though was a good house. After some more issues we dropped the house and now we are using him again for our second house. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a reliable inspection.

Revealed several serious concerns around the foundation, and a number of significant plumbing, electrical, and roofing issues. His report gave dollar ranges of critical and suggested repairs. It all added up to not buying the house. Money well spent.

Here is a man that knows his job and does it well! David Richardson did a thorough home inspection. He uncovered numerous problems that would have otherwise been overlooked because of our inexperience. He saved us from a real "money pit". I am so grateful that we found Dave on Angie's List. I will be calling him as soon as we find another home we are interested in purchasing. I wouldn't trust the job to anyone else! Best $325 I ever spent!

Well! Dave arrived early to set everything up, and was thorough in his inspection and explanations. He did speak very fast at some points but asked us to tell him to slow down and re-explain when needed. He seemed very candid about the condition of the house and provided solutions to issues when he felt confident. On the flip side, he was also honest when he was not 100% confident about something and said he would do more research after the inspection.

I found Dave here on Angies List. and based on his reviews we decided to use him. This is our 5th house we have bought and Dave is by far the best home inspector we have used. He did a rush report for us which was extremely lengthy so thank you DAVE!!! The most important thing is that Dave isnt just a certified home inspector he also is a civil engineer and a licensed builder. This is extremely important when picking out your inspector. Dave checked everything in the house which was great. The other inspector I worked with a few weeks ago did not exhaustively check everything like Dave did. He checked every single outlet in the house, went into the crawl space (the other guy did not), checked the appliances. Dave found numerous issues to fix however nothing was a deal breaker for me. He answered all of the questions I had and was very professional. I would use his services again when I buy a house.

The inspector arrived on time and ready to work. The inspection was vey detailed leaving know stone unturned. He provide a full view of your report answering all your questions, this inspector is the best at his job.

David was extremely thorough. We spent 1.5 hours just in the basement. He pointed out several things, and between the roof, the mold in the attic, asbestos in the duct work, and a few other things, I decided against buying the home. I would recommend David to anyone. His price seemed a tiny bit high, but it was worth every penny for the job that he did. A home inspection is nothing you want to cheap out on, and David was extremely thorough and provided a report with color photographs, solutions for problems with the house, and rough estimates to fix those items.

I joined Angie's List to get reviews for a pre-purchase home inspector. What a find David from Milestone Inspections was! Dave took several hours and went through the house and pole barn with a fine tooth comb, up and including climbing up into the attic crawl space (which in this house was not too easily accessible) and the pole barn attic. He didn't just do a cursory look-over of things and flash a flashlight around in corners, like we've had with other inspectors over the years. Rather, he took the covers off of things (furnace, air, water, other key systems, etc.) and thoroughly examined the whole equipment and area, inside and out. He crawled into and under and through tight spaces to find out what was causing leaks, and so on. Extremely thorough. David answered all of our questions, and also took the time to explain to us at each step of the process exactly what he found, why it was a problem, and what he would recommend as a fix (this is where his engineering background was really helpful). If it wasn't urgent, he said so. If it was, he was clear about that. If it was something we could do ourselves, he gave us guidance on that. If it was something better left to the professionals, he walked us through what we should expect. However, unlike some inspectors with vendor affiliations, David didn't try to push other vendors (electrician, plumber, etc.) at us at all; but when we specifically asked for a vendor recommendation for one particular task, he did offer a recommendation which we do plan to use. At the end of the inspection, even though it was well into the evening, David took time and gave us a summary of the inspection with key issues that we can now prioritize high-med-low for fixing after purchase. He followed up the next day with his formal report via email, which has every bit of information that we could hope for, and that we will be referencing for some time to come as we address various issues in the house. We would recommend David to anyone who wants a thorough, well-informed home inspection!

dave was very informent in all aspects of what he was doing he found flaws in didnt see + i was abale to walk away from this home yah it was repareable but i didnt want 2 spend the money 2 fix it

The contact there, Dave, kept very good communication. Interestingly even when I went with another company (only due to schedule), I tried to leave the other company an urgent message, but had called Dave instead! Dave called me back immediately when he got the message to inform me that I had the wrong number. Due to his selfless help I was able to get through my inspection hitch-free. THANKS DAVE!
