It went fantastic. Brad was excellent. He arrived on time. Completed the job timely and when he ran into a little difficulty with the installation he was able to quickly come up with a way to solve the problem and finish the job in a timely matter. I will definitely recommend Cummings Plumbing to all my friends and family.

My husband had wanted to try to do everything himself - boy, am I glad we called Cumming Plumbing! The utility sink really is what sealed the deal because pipes had to be shortened, holes drilled into the cabinet for the supply/water lines, and the shut off wasn't working properly. When I first called Cumming Plumbing, the woman I spoke to on the phone was very knowledgeable about everything I needed done - she seemed very experienced and knew exactly the problems that I was describing (even though I didn't know the right terminology). I was relieved to hear that there wasn't a trip/service charge - but there is a 15 minute travel charge. The $80/hour rate seems really high but bc of the good reviews I decided to book. Dan was great - he fixed everything and I am very pleased with the service/results. There was even a minor issue with the tub handles after installation that we discovered after he left and he came out the next day and fixed it - no problem! What a relief! The only thing I would've changed is that I wished I would've gotten an estimate of hours anticipated to do all the work ahead of time. I didn't know how long to expect my projects to take so I was really at the mercy of T&M gods when it came to the bill. It would've been nice to get an idea ahead of time so that I could budget ahead. Other than that I am extremely pleased with everything and would definitely recommend Cumming Plumbing (and Dan) to anyone who needed a plumber. Thanks guys!

I have been using Cumming Plumbing for all my plumbing needs for the last 5 years or so in two different houses. The quality is first rate and the price always reasonable. Dave the owner is highly responsive. I always receive a call back within the hour and once he was walking me through a minor issue while he attended a Tigers game at Comerica Park. Brad performed the most recent work at our new house, which involved running a gas line for a new gas stove the replace the electric one that was in the house when we moved in, along with some other minor work involving leaks with a toilet and a bath spout. He was on time, friendly and the work was done well and in a couple hours. Once other story worth mentioning....when we sold our old house last year, the first inspector that came through dinged me on a bunch of plumbing and gas line issues that ultimately scared off the buyer (not related to any work Cumming Plumbing had done). I hired Dave to take care of everything in the report. He told me he'd be happy to take my money, but about half of the things in the report weren't a problem and he wouldn't bother. The second inspector that came through agreed with Dave's assessment and that purchase did go through. I always appreciate it when professionals turn down easy money in the interest of the buyer, which to me indicates high integrity.

A carpenter was laying wood & hit a water pipe. I called for emergency service & Dan was here within 1/2 hr. From now on I want only Dan as my plumber. He's great!

My condo association sent a letter requiring all plastic water supply lines to be replaced by a certain date for insurance purposes. Brad came out prepared to replace my lines and discovered that I had no plastic lines to replace. I did, however, ask him to switch my garbage disposal from the narrow side of my divided sink to the wider side. Brad had called to see if he could come earlier than the appointed time. I agreed and found Brad to be very personable as well as professional. He answered all my questions and did an excellent job. I would definitely use Cumming Plumbing again.

My hotwater heater was leaking on my basement floor so I needed it replaced rather quickly. I called a couple of plumbers found on Angie's List. One was out of town for several days, another one couldn't come for a week, so I was overjoyed when Cumming Plumbing said they could send someone to my home the next day. The price they quoted me was about $50 higher than the place that couldn't do the work for a week, but given my situation, I didn't mind. Brad was a couple hours late (since he had to take on a co-worker's service call who had left early), but again, I didn't mind since I was working from home the entire day. I was actually impressed that even though it was after 5:00 p.m. when he arrived, he didn't rush, seemed very thorough, answered my questions, and made sure everything was working correctly before he left. Great experience so I would definitely call Cumming Plumbing again.

Brad was very professional, on time, answered all questions with confidence and was very polite. He was also very thorough and took the time to do the job right.

Was professional and did a good job. The quote was for $80 per hour plus parts and said there was standard no service fee. Was 10 minutes late, because they did not have the address correct, but that was not a problem. Took 1 hour to fix the 2 issues and another 15 minutes to write up the bill because he had to call the main office for pricing and wait for a call back. Wrote up the bill for 2 hours. When I questioned the 2 hours, I was told the extra hour was for to and from transportation which was never mentioned when I scheduled the appointment. Plus they were lost and took 15 minutes to write the bill. When I complained and said I would describe it on Angie's list, he reduced it to 1.5 hour charge. Would I use Cumming Plumbing again? Possibly, because they did a good job, but for sure I'll nail down the expected charges first.

Both Brad and Dave responded very quickly, called 1/2 hour ahead of when they were coming out so I wouldn't have to wait all day which was the best! Very nice and professional. We've used them before and would use them again.

We noticed something leaking in our basement, so we called Cumming Plumbing to have it looked at. We had used them in the past to repair the tank on the back of our toilet and they did a great job. I called on Monday afternoon, and they scheduled someone to come out on Tuesday between 3-5pm. The woman who answered the phone was very polite, knowledgeable, and helped me articulate what the issue was (this is really helpful when you have no idea about plumbing and pipes!). On Tuesday, Dan called me around 4pm and said he was on his way. He arrived shortly thereafter and first introduced himself then put on shoe covers before stepping inside. He took a look at the leaking ceiling in the basement and noted that the water was coming from above, not one of the pipes like we had thought. Turns out the water line that connects to our fridge was broken, so he made the repair for us by installing a new line (and a longer line, so that it would be easier to pull the fridge out and lessen the likelihood that the tube breaks again). From the time he called to the time he left, it was about an hour. Cumming Plumbing is everything you'd like out of a plumbing service: quick, dependable, honest, and professional. I highly recommend them, and will definitely use them again!

Dan did a great job for us. We had a sump pump quit working. Called Cumming and later that day Dan was able to stop by and replace the pump. It was quick, painless, and just in time for the big rain the next day. I highly recommend.

We needed new hardware on the kitchen sink to match up with some other renovations. Called Cumming Plumbing and Dan came out and performed the install. Everything went perfectly. Top notch service and quality.

Seems to have went ok but I have fundamental problem when a company tells me 8am, the guys shows up at 8 prior to my arrival and then charges for the half hour. At the rates that plumbers charge that is not cheap. Materials are on the high side compared to another local plumber I had do work in previous house but Cumming was available immediately so was forced to go with them. Probably paid a 25% premium to use them when materials and the "extra" 30 minutes was added. Work was done though and looks good.

Cumming plumbing showed up exactly when they said they would, calling ahead of time to be sure we were home, they finished the job quickly and professionally and neatly. Very fair and honest company, we will use them again for the next plumbing issue that pops up in our home.

Dan from Cummings Plumbing did us right! He found the leak on an emergency call on Wednesday night, stopped the leak and came back on Friday to permanently fix the problem. Our fridge and water line to it were on an outside wall that has frozen anytime the temperature is below 0 for a day or more. We had this fixed by a different plumbing company 3 years ago, but they didn't do it right. The line still froze every year. We simply turned the water off in January and back on in March because we expected it to freeze. This year when we turned the water back on in the Spring, all heck broke loose! Dan not only stopped the leak, but found a better way to route the water line from another source that DOES NOT go through the outside wall. We are very excited at the thought of having ice and water in January and February! Dan came quickly during the emergency call and actually came ahead of time on Friday! Thanks Dan and the folks at Cumming Plumbing!

I heard about Cumming Plumbing from a neighbor. I spoke to Emily , and she was able to send Dan the very next day. My sump pump would not work, but thankfully I had a back up pump. Dan arrived on time as promised, very cordial and professional, installed a much better pump than the one I had. Estimate was exactly as promised. It is so nice to find a company that you can work with "on a good word and a handshake". What a concept! Thank you Dan and Emily.

Emily was helpful and responsive in quoting prices on a basic toilet, a specific one I asked about and a suggested alternative. Brad arrived within the time frame promised,worked efficiently and completed the job in the time quoted. He also answered questions about another plumbing matter and made a good suggestion. The entire process went well and we are very pleased with the results.

Called before our appointment. Showed up on time. David did the work very quickly, did an excellent job and cleaned up afterwards. I would definitely call them again for any plumbing work.

I can't say enough good things about Dave. After seeking out RooterMD plumbing to fix a leak in my basement, I was dissapointed at what the cost would be to fix the situation. I then called several people off of Angie's List and Dave was the first to respond and I am thankful at that! I did not tell Dave about the costs the first company quoted. He suggested the identical sump pump as RooterMD however his price was over $200 less. I then had him come out to assess the problem after telling him about it on the phone. To make a long story short, what was a $1300 quote from Rooter was done for $480 from Dave. Really?!! He was prompt, professional, courteous and I now have a plumber as long as he keeps working. To say that Dave is good and fair is an understatement!

They were very prompt and very professional. We had questions. They responded by email pretty quickly. They were on time when they said they would be. They worked really cleanly and really well. The price was fine. The quality was good; it's still working. They were responsive. We have used a couple of them, and we probably would go back to them.

They did a good job. They were knowledgeable. They were professional. They attended to our questions even though they were sub-suppliers. We didn't fortunately had any major issues with them. We didn't have any minor issues with them either. To some point, we had to go to the contractor who hired them. They did a fine job. They were responsive. They were here when they said they would be here.

Came on time, ordered custom heating tape and office staff kept in contact throughout. Came in snowstorm! Outstanding professional work. Cleaned-up well after the work. Did not demand deposit and bill was paid upon completion. Very reasonable rates. Would have them again if ever I have a plumbing problem and recommend them to others.
