Scott came to our home to provide us with a quote for our basement remodel. He was professional and punctual. He even did a nice 3D rendering of his proposed design. In the end, we went with another contractor who came in with a lower bid and was able to start working on the project sooner.

He told me he was too busy and that I should go to Lowe's or Home Depot. I told him I didn't want to do that and he then told me he's booked until June. He didn't even ask if I wanted to wait until that time. He just said I should go to one of the places that sell granite slabs. He just blew me off.

The quote was $25000. I think the owner is knowledgeable and has good follow up. I think he is professional. I have not seen their work, so I can't say anything. I have not decided whether I am going to hire him or not, but at this juncture he seems fine.

I found Cherry Construction on Angie's List. I emailed them regarding kitchen remodeling. Scott of Cherry Construction called me the next day. He listened to what I had planned. Our problem was that Cherry Construction does not do any re-facing of cabinets. So, we will continue our search. I appreciated Scott contacting me so quickly and his ability to listen to my wants/needs and understand that his was just not the right company for my job.

I called 4 people for estimates. They were all very polite and came when they said they were coming. Everything was fine. I would probably consider using them.

We did a complete kitchen remodel with the exception that most kitchen appliances were not replaced. Scott Purdom of Cherry Building was excellent, and my wife and I were very comfortable discussing design ideas with him. Scott was very professional and helped us with some of the decisions about the design. After a few weeks of discussing the layout, visiting various stores to look at materials and cabinets, a contract was completed. The existing kitchen cabinets were removed and new upgraded ones were installed. Two layers of existing vinyl flooring and underlayment were removed. Scott also removed the existing kitchen wallpaper. A Pergo wood laminate floor was installed that began a the front entry, extended down the hall to the kitchen and throughout the eat-in kitchen. Formica counter tops were replaced with Corian composite countertops including a Corian sink. The kitchen layout was changed slightly, the dishwasher was moved to the outside wall next to the sink from a peninsula location. The kitchen stove was shifted about 10 inches from the corner to make room for a lazy susan. There was soffit in the kitchen where there was no cabinets so that was removed and the ceiling drywalled. New soffit was installed where the new cabinets extended along the wall. Much of the drywall at the countertop level was removed to install new wiring. New GFI outlets, switches with dimmers and under cabinet lighting was installed. Scott primed and painted the entire kitchen after the dry wall was complete. After the new countertops were installed, Scott installed tile with strips of accent tiles. New kitchen lighting fixtures were installed. New pipes, drains, shutoff valves, a new kitchen faucet and new garbage disposal were installed. A new microwave was installed above the stove to allow more free countertop space. A new toilet and Allure floor was installed in the powder room. Scott Purdom did an excellent job. The kitchen rehab took a little longer than quoted, partly because there were a couple unexpected problems along the way and there was a delay with the electrical contractor. Scott is very detailed and does the work the way you would do it for yourself. Scott also has a helper that assisted him part of the time, and an electrical contractor, but he does much of the work himself. We were very pleased and would definitely hire him again.

Scott was wonderful to work with. He gave detailed estimates and had some really good ideas. He always got back to us timely and was very professional.

Scott was there every morning on time .He worked all day and cleaned up every day at the end of the day. He also painted my kitchen and it came out so nice! Once again i definitely would use him on any future projects.

The contractor was very prompt in returning my phone call, scheduling an appointment for a free estimate and giving me a thorough evaluation of my remodeling needs. I was unable to use their services at this time, but I would recommend them to anyone that needs a home remodeling contractor.

We got a few quotes for our bathroom remodel. Two contractors, including Scott, gave us the same price (around $30k), and another contractor quoted us about $15k. While the $15k quote was tempting, we decided to hire Cherry Building to do the job. I just felt way more comfortable with his references and his professional style. I'm glad we did. My husband and I are very pleased with the work that Scott from Cherry Building did. There were a few snags along the way, but Scott was very responsive and responsible in getting them ironed out. The bathroom is beautiful, and we really enjoy using it!

Scott did a great job and exceeded my expectations. He did high quality work at a reasonable price (lowest bid), was very professional in all our interactions, and even cleaned up at the end of each day. I highly recommend Cherry Building.

Overall the experience with Scott was quite positive. He was very punctual and acted and very respectful and professional manner. He came to our house and discussed our project with us. During our conversation he asked good questions in order to clearly understand what we were looking for in our remodelling project. He provided a detailed written quote in a timeframe he said he would.

It went really well. I'm pretty demanding and hard to please sometimes but I was VERY happy with the end result. The bathroom was a MESS and he really turned it around. The best thing about Scott is that quality is his number #1 priority. He made sure all the details were perfect!! I was afraid to get my bathroom remodeled even though it desperately needed it because I've seen the horror stories. I was instantly comfortable with him and his work and a month later there are no problems to report. I would recommend him in an instant and have him do more work in my home in the future (maybe a basement!). He also did not go way over budget as I was afraid could happen. He gave me a quote and pretty much stuck to it. It was actually only $500 more than the quote but that's because of an issue discovered once the place was gutted...and that's bound to happen!!! I am actually pretty amazed at how detail-oriented he was, that there are still people like him out there who will give you a fair deal and that I actually found him! Would do it all over again in an instant!

The over all experience with Cherry Building went very well. He returned my initial call promptly and the estimate meeting was scheduled within a few days. The work was scheduled to begin in a few weeks, but was delayed due to the intense heat we had this summer. Scott is professional and wanted to complete his current project before beginning mine. I appreciate that Scott addresses one bid at a time, which allowed me to plan my time accordingly, as he was not coming and going and leaving projects undone. Cherry Building had also given a bid for drywall repair but this couldn't be done due to the condition of the drywall. Initially, this was frustrating because we had been waiting for the work to be done. However, in retrospect, I was grateful that Scott did not attempt the job anyway and have it look bad. Scott takes pride in his work and was not willing to do a job the customer wouldn't be pleased with. The work was completed in a week and the end results are beautiful and just what I wanted! Scott was a pleasure to work with and I would definitely use Cherry Building again.

Scott was the best contractor we have had for work on our home. We will recommend him to our friends, neighbors and business associates. He did most of the work himself- he had some help with the tear-down and shower, etc. He was very clean and did not leave us a mess. He was also very easy to work with and did the job right the first time. He gave us a detailed proposal and worked with allowances on the materials we bought ourselves. He completed the job in a week and a half. We did have a plumbing problem with the tub-shower conversion and he was able to correct it at modest cost. You will like his personal service, professionalism, knowledge of the job and cleanliness. Five star all the way.

The estimate was too high. He seemed to have a very narrow list of materials he liked to use and thats fine for him but didn't work out for us.

We obtained 3 bids for our kitchen remodel and Cherry Building was the lowest--by far. Scott Purdam took all of our suggestions and designed a kitchen that exceeded our expectations. He helped us find the counters and the floor that exactly matched what we wanted. We made a change during the cabinet installation and Scott accommodated us with no problem. We were absolutely pleased with every aspect of this job and the work Scott performed. We will call Scott again in a heartbeat when we decide to remodel our bathroom. Scott Purdom, owner of Cherry Building Company, takes tremendous pride in his work. He is professional, skillful, knowledgeable, personable, reliable, honest, and an excellent communicator--open to the mutual sharing of ideas and teaming with the homeowner. It is obvious that Scott enjoys (truly loves) his work. The finished product is better than anything my husband or I could have imagined. The drywalling is amazing! We had bids from three contractors. Scott?s was neither the least nor most expensive, but of all of them, he had the best reviews on Angie?s List and now we know why. After going to his website to look at some of his work and meeting him, we felt he would do the best job. We are so pleased we chose Scott. As it turns out, we feel we got far more than we paid for in the job that Scott did because of the quality of his workmanship, materials used, and the end result. I might add that he is also a neat worker. What began as the idea of adding two storage closets became so much more in terms of function and attractiveness in our space. Their addition allowed for more options in terms of furniture and equipment placement which transformed how we use it. We hired Scott to build two large closets, which are beautiful, and, in the bargain, the reconfiguration resulted in many alternatives beyond the practicality of added storage. The daylight window through which we had planned that Scott would bring in the drywall and lumber was not in straight and could not be removed, which meant that Scott and his helper had to use a steep and narrow stairway containing a ?stair chair? (for my husband who is handicapped) to bring in 20 heavy 4? X 8? sheets of drywall--one sheet at a time. That morning they had also disassembled a heavy oak table and moved it to the garage and helped me to move other things that were too awkward or heavy for me to lift so that they would have room to stack the supplies and get to the areas where the closets were to be built. After all of this, my husband had a fall and could not get to his feet. Without skipping a beat, Scott and his helper, Dave, jumped in and saved the day. Before I could grab the gait belt to help him up, they had righted him. They were wonderful! So, not only is Scott a hard and skilled worker who delivers a beautiful product, but a good and kind person, too. If you use this contractor, know that he is a man of his word. He stands behind his product and the deal he makes with you. He is licensed and has insurance. He is creative, has good ideas, enjoys the work itself, takes pride in all he does, and most of his work comes from referrals. He does most of the work himself. He subcontracted the electrical but was present to supervise. It would be worthwhile for a member considering this contractor to read all of his reviews on Angie?s list and to visit his website (www.cherrybuilding.com) where you can see some of the beautiful work he has done. I was and remain most impressed! I highly recommend him. I plan to hire Scott again for some other work that we need to have done.

The renovation went great. Scott came out and gave us an quote for the bathroom at a time that was good for us. He was very receptive to the fact that we wanted to do our own shopping for the front facing materials. Once the project began, Scott showed up on time every day and completed the bathroom in a reasonable amount of time. Some of the fixtures didn't come in quite on time and he was very understanding and worked around it until we got everything in. In the end, the bathroom looks fantastic and most importantly, everything functions great. We had a slight issue with some leaking from the tub, but Scott fixed it promptly and it caused no problems. It was quite convenient to have hired someone who has a plethora of skills because when we needed the additional work done (tiling in the foyer and the doors hung) we didn't have to look for someone else to do the work. And for the record, his tiling is really fantastic. Overall, Cherry Building is very reasonable in pricing (we had gotten several other quotes). But we ultimately decided to use Cherry Building for our project because Scott was so flexible and easy to work with. One thing that deterred me from other companies was the contractor's tendency to talk down to me because I am young and female. Scott understood that just because we didn't have the skill to do the work ourselves, it didn't mean that we didn't know "a thing or two" about renovation. Customer service wins out every time!!

Scott was a pleasure to work with and I LOVE my new bathroom! From start to finish it took about 8 days which was pretty good considering the amount of work that was done. Everything looks great and I appreciate the guidance and suggestions Scott gave that helped me choose certain items. It was really nice to deal with a straight forward, no pressure kind of guy. I would definitely recommend him and am already thinking about having him bid my basement.

Scott is terrific at what he does--he is professional, courteous, timely, and very talented. Things couldn't have gone more smoothly with this project--because of the age and condition of the existing garage, I was worried that issues/problems would be discovered as work progressed. If they did, Scott had the experience and knowledge to handle anything that came up. My garage was transformed--I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of work--I plan to use Cherry Hill Building Co. again in the near future when I remodel my kitchen.

Work was done professionally and well. However the job took twice as long as was estimated.

Scott is very professional and very thorough. He does great work and is so polite. We are really happy with our finished basement. It is as nice as any other area of our house.
