+ -1 moreIt was fast, Steve climmed up the tree with ropes and took it all off my side of the tree They cleaned up before leaving,my yard looked great! I only wish he was still in Portland Or.It's been four years, and it's time again to trim. Would hire him again in a second.
Description of Work: Steve and his son, showed up on time took the limbs off of a Maple that is in my neighbors yard but were hanging twentyfive feet into my yard. They made a great team.

+ -1 moreI was selling this house and the new buyer wanted the huge (50+ ft) fir tree RIGHT beside the house removed as a condition of sale. I got a number of bids-mostly companies through Angie's List, and Steve's was the lowest bid so we hired him. I was very worried about damage to the house as the tree came down, and was on a short time frame as it was due to close within the week. Steve and his crew removed the tree very carefully without any problem, ground the stump so you'd never know a tree had been there, and cleaned everything up better than it had been before they started work! They were done within a day and were extremely professional and good to work with. I would highly recommend this service provider!

+ -1 moreWe solicited three bids and selected Steve Young based on price which was about half of either of the other bids. Steve notified us of a one day delay which was not a problem and the crew of two completed the work on the revised schedule including careful clean up.
Description of Work: Steve Young Tree Service pruned a very large sweet gum tree and, as an increase in the scope of work, a much smaller specimen Japanese maple. The sweet gum was close to a power line but the work was completed safely. Both trees look wonderful, the debris was cleaned up and a small amount of firewood stacked.

The crew -- Layton, Jason and Vern -- were punctual, attentive to detail and made sure the job was done right. The clean up was top notch. I would highly recommend this company for their professionalism and service. They went above and beyond - honoring a several-month-old quote from a slow month during a much busier month and finishing the job beyond expectations.
Description of Work: The crew pruned and cleaned up seven large Pine trees and an Ornamental Maple from the front and back of the house. They also cleaned the roof and applied Moss-Out after pruning.

+ -1 moreThey exceeded our expectations and left the grounds better than they found them. They came right away and gave us an estimate, and did the work exactly when they said they would. There was no standing around.
Description of Work: Pruning of four mature trees, one of which is on the registry of Portland Historic Trees. They pruned the 100' tall historic tree without using steel gaffs, which makes for difficult and dangerous, as a way of preserving the health of the tree. They performed all clean-up and removal.
