Description of Work: Rich and Rick are meticulous! We have been very pleased with the quality of workmanship. We used their services to install new plaster walls, as well as to do extensive repair work on old plaster ceilings and walls (previously papered). They came when they said they would, did a great job, and cleaned up each day. We are extremely pleased.

+ -1 moreIt was an excellent experience. Provider is punctual, explained the process thoroughly, is very responsive and professional. He communicates well and is true to his word i.e. price range, timeline, and work to be done. From the time he stopped over to see the project until the project was done was less than a week. I would definitely recommend this provider and would hire him again if the need arises. We love our new ceiling!
Description of Work: Provider removed "popcorn" ceiling, decorative ceiling beams, and pillars by front door, then replastered the ceiling using a Califormia stucco finish.

Description of Work: We had major stress cracks in several rooms of the house. Richard and his son cut out the worst one and replaced the blueboard, cut out the area around the others and replastered all, then textured it to match the surrounding walls and ceiling. He was on time and got the job done much faster than we had thought it would take. We were very pleased to have this part of the remodeling done so quickly so we can move in that much sooner!!

+ 0 moreI removed old wall paper and it took off a lot of the underlying paper on the drywall. Other contractors wanted to apply new drywall over the old which would have been easier for them but, not what I wanted. At first, the price seemed a little high, but this was a very labor intensive job and I was really impressed with the end result and I consider it a good investment now. Van Der Slick skim coated the walls and touched up a lot of other defects to make it like new. I've had other skim coating work done in the house and this work was significantly better. They were punctual, polite and professional throughout the job. At the end of the job, the room was exactly what I wanted; ready for paint. Throughout the process they took care to put up protective plastic to ensure dust didn't get into the rest of the house. They laid down drop cloths where they walked. They cleaned everything up when they were done. It is a family business, Richard and his son. I recommend them and I'd use them again.
Description of Work: Skim coat walls in a 15 foot by 16 foot room. Repair holes in drywall, missing tape in corners and plaster over large areas where the drywall paper had been removed.
