Our water heater sprang a leak and leaked about 20 gallons of water into our basement on Friday. After cleaning all the water up and draining the water heater, I tried to contact one of the top installers on Angie's List. My call went to voice mail and most installers do not work on weekends so I waited until Monday to contact someone again. These guys are all very busy with furnace issues so they are difficult to get in touch with. My third choice was Lapham Heating and Cooling. I contacted them late Monday afternoon and they were at my home Tuesday morning at 8:00 AM as they said they would be. They were efficient and had my new water heater installed and working by 9:00 AM. They removed the old heater and disposed of it. I did have to do a little cleanup from some drips as they carried the unit upstairs and through the dinning area. They were not very conversational but worked steady and got the job done quickly at the exact price they quoted.

I noticed when I got up for work at 5:30 am that our furnace had quit working in the middle of the night and it was getting very cold in the house. It was near zero outside and we wanted a serviceman to come as soon as possible. We had used Lapham in the past and they were always pretty quick to come out, so we called them. We were pleased that the serviceman was able to respond so quickly, he arrived in about 30 minutes. From the moment he arrived he was surly and disrespectful. He told us several times how much he hated our furnace and that we should get a new one. He installed a new igniter and while waiting for the furnace to start up he continued to complain about our furnace and how he hated working on it. He did indeed fix the furnace in about 15 minutes, without a single nice word coming out of his mouth. We thanked him for coming so quickly and fixing our furnace on that bitter cold morning, we were very grateful for that. His parting remark was that if we needed to have our furnace worked on again we should call someone else. Then to top it off, the very first bill I get for that service call says it's past due with a $5 late fee. Rest assured, I will not be calling Lapham again.

I called, and they were at the house in a couple of hours. He replaced a zone valve, and when I asked if he could look at something else, since another room was not getting any heat from a register, he serviced the system and got everything running correctly. It took him less than an hour for everything.

That was good! They came right away the day I called them. I had them come out three times within the last year. They're efficient, and they got the job done quickly. Also, they came back. Their job was good overall! They were able to fix the problem., but I just kept having different problems. Their price was reasonable.

Great response, very professional service, bright technician, got in, got the job done and gone.
