They put in the new septic system for my house. I did not hire them. They were hired before I bought the property but I worked them because I bought the property and they had to work with me. They were without question the worst company of any nature, of any kind that I have ever worked with in my life. The owner and the worker of Delau & Daughters is Tim Delau. I am not sure if it is a one-person operation, however he is the only person I ever contacted in his company. Mr. Tim Delau is the person who did not turn the valve in the sewage flow on, because of which my entire basement and ground level was water damaged. That error caused $40000 worth of damage to my house. This man was the most obnoxious and unprofessional man I have met. We are probably going to end this up in the court; not him and me because I did not contract with him so I can’t fill in for breach; I would in a second if I could. I wanted to warn everyone not to get involved with him with anything. When I bought the house, his contract to put in the septic system called for him to restore the lawn. It is a huge lawn, it is an acre of third, and he dug up a good portion of it putting in the system. He was supposed to come back and restore the lawn, which was part of the contract that he had. However, the person who was managing the property at the time who was also a realtor hired and paid him but he did not work. It is now fifteen months later we have been fighting for every good weather day for fifteen months to get him back here to do the work he was paid for. He will not come back. He did come and load of dirt on my lawn on Father’s Day, which is still sitting there. This person is unbelievable. We tried to get him out here, I even called him several times when I took possession of this property to schedule an appointment for him to come out and do the lawn work and he never returned my calls. When my house was flooded, I called my realtor and he called the realtor who had managed the property and had arranged a contract with Mr. Delau to get the realtor’s heads up. He might even get sued. Mr. Delau was at my house at a shot as soon as he heard from this realtor. The first time he laid eyes on me and identified who I was, he said to me why I didn’t call me. This was the same person, who did not return at least about twenty phone calls. He walked into my house without permission and began taking pictures. It was unbelievable. He is an unbelievable piece of work. At this point, his attitude is like ‘Yes I did the work, so come and get me’. The original contract paid him $19000 for restoring the lawn. He put in the septic system and it worked once it was turned on but he didn’t turn it on. So in terms of that work, he did the work and since it had been turned on, there have been no problems. He apparently did an adequate job of that. He walked out on the lawn restoration work; he took the money and did not do the work. He is totally unprofessional and totally rude. His major objection was way upfront I asked him to call and make an appointment to do this work. I told him that I was unemployed; that I was here most of the times and that I was willing to work around his schedule and to please all me back because I didn’t want anybody on my property doing work when I am not here. Apparently, he found that unsatisfactory, objectionable, and insulting. I don’t know what set him off. The issue was that I wanted him to make an appointment and not work when I was not here. For that reason, he eventually backed off from doing the work. That apparently is his issue with me. He took offence to that as if I was accusing him of something. Every contractor that has worked on my house since I bought this place has made an appointment. I was not trying to be difficult. I wanted to work with his schedule and just wanted a call back with his response within twenty-four hours. That set this whole issue off.
