I am rewriting my review at the request of one of the owners. Initially, I believed that some work had not been completed at the end of the job as I understood he and I had discussed it during our meeting and walk through of the house. It turns out that the removal of the iron pipes under the house was not included in the quote. ALK did good work our little fixer upper house. It was difficult to coordinate time with the office and this made planning a challenge for both myself and my spouse. The workers have been affable and courteous. We are glad we selected ALK to work on our house

We have our summer cottage winterized every year. ALK also performs a complete inspection of our heating, plumbing, well pump and septic systems. This last visit ALK found some issues with our furnice. They performed alk work as needed. All of the ALK staff were extremely knowledgeable, professional and friendly. I am a loyal client and will continue to be.

Two men performed the work. They were efficient and cleaned up after their work. The radiators leaked excessively after the system was refilled, but they returned immediately on my call to the office concerning the problem and tightened all joints. The toilet was installed quickly, although I had to ask it be caulked where it met the floor. In addition I scraped the previous silicone caulk from the floor. The toilet was a Toto brand that I specifically ordered from a local plumbing store. They said they ordered, but after a month of waiting, I asked ALK if they could get it, and it was available, and installed, within two days. ALK is expensive, but they can do the job correctly, or certainly work at satisfying the customer. In this remote region, finding a reliable plumber who knows what their doing is not always easy. ALK will do the job correctly.

Weather was in 20's and furnace quit working. Called ALK and they sent someone out in the afternoon. Very professional and explained what needed to be done.
