MLB was respectful, punctual and really cared about completing the work to our satisfaction. They have reasonable prices and go out of their way to work with customers. They offered design ideas and were great at troubleshooting when unexpected challenges came up in our 100 year old house. I highly recommend this family owned business. Seniors beware!!! My elderly mother had a roof put on by them, the owner put in an estimate then sent his son to do the work who has minimal knowledge of roofing....during the roofing job it rained for two days they left part of the roof bare with no covering and we had severe mold and water damage inside the upstairs bedroom,they at first said they would fix it then after 2 weeks of back and forth they refused to fix what they caused,the owner of the company would not even speak with me about it,they are liars and cheats, they refused to give us their insurance information (if they really have any) so we were forced to turn it over to our homeowners insurance and $4300 dollars and 3 months later the room was fixed on our own, the insurance agency sent out a mold expert that 100% said the damage was caused by an uncovered roof during installation!!! I suggest to stay away from these people unless you like mold!!!

The owner with the experience did none of the work,he sent his young son,wife and children out to do the work... The house went fine as far as I know,and then they returned to do the garage,they did the tear off and it started to rain,they left the roof mostly uncovered just bare wood and it rained for 2 days straight,they came back and installed the new roof and a few weeks later the mold started to grow in the upstairs bedroom above the garage.....We contacted them and the owner refused to talk to me,sent his wife and children out to fix the problem,after two weeks of lies from them they then refused to fix the problem,refused to give me their insurance information (if they even have any)......needless to say 3 months later and $4300 paid by our homeowners insurance and a mold inspector that said the damage was 100% caused by an uncovered roof we finally got it fixed with no help from them......The people that they had do the roof has very little knowledge of roofs and how they work.......I would stay as far away from these people and would not recommend them to anyone,unless you like shoddy work and mold !!!

Very friendly, lovely people to work with but I would supervise their projects.

Maple Lake Builders is unresponsive regarding problems with our plumbing, flooring and a non-functioning heat/air register. They refused to come to our house to assess these problems. The one time they sent a contractor (this was after we were in the house for less than a full day) they did not pay the contractor and we received the bill SEVEN months later. We paid this bill, but still have not seen our builder or any of his contractors even after repeated phone calls and letters - including one from our Attorney. Maple Lake Builders has so far not honored the warranty they signed and refuses to repair problems due to workmanship (the heat register that is apparently not connected to any heat supply) or poor quality materials (a toilet that leaked and ruined a wood floor).
