Description of Work: Brought in my wood chipper, which wasn't running well. They diagnosed a carburetor problem and performed an overhaul on the carb. It's like a completely different machine now - I had no idea how well it could run. The overhaul was done within the promised timeframe, and cost was very close to their estimate, exceeded only because they had to replace both stages of air filter during repairs.

 + 0 moreAfter looking at other lawn mower repair reviews, I drove from Portage to Paw Paw to have my lawn mower repaired at Jim's. It was worth the drive; they fixed my mower within a few days (faster than estimated). When I picked up my mower, the repair person suggested I keep my eye on a couple of potential issues to keep my mower running well. The cost was fair - about what I expected - and overall I was very pleased. If we ever have another issue with the mower, I'll be going back.

 + 0 more. Our mower runs fine, battery remains charged and the engine runs much quieter. We were without this mower from April 9-19 but understand that our mower died at the beginning of the mowing season. Jim and his staff were professional and courteous in providing their service. Upon delivery of the mower I was instructed on how I can prolong its life by removing the engine shroud occasionally and cleaning debris from engine cooling fins. This would allow engine heat to dissipate. Overall, we are very pleased with Jim's Outdoor Powerland and would recommend them to others.
Description of Work: Jim's Outdoor Powerland picked up, repaired and returned our Sears lawn tractor. I knew I had a major problem with the sudden loss of power (when deck was engaged), loud engine hammering, and battery drain. Service involved diagnosis, ordering parts, and replacing right side piston head, two bent valve lift rods, and voltage regulator. The head needed replacement due to the exhaust valve being fused to its seat. The damaged parts were also returned for my inspection.
