"Hi [Removed Member Name], Thank you for calling this to our attention. Our installation manager will be calling you this week to schedule a time to replace those drawer slides for you. I'm really sorry it has taken so long. If your phone number has changed since 2013, please call me at 248-499-9774 so we can schedule this soon."
Suffice to say we are completely satisfied with our purchase and would recommend Tina and Closets by Design to anyone in need of making better use of their closet space without hesitation.
1. measured our existing closet space
2. discussed closet options and CbD materials with us; took notes on our ideas for a pantry
3. drafted and ordered parts for our custom closet
The CbD designer informed us that we would probably need to wait several months for an appointment, and she seemed to indicate that this was normal for CbD. However, the scheduler called us the following week and asked if we fill a suddenly available spot for a week out. We agreed and our closet installers came out significantly earlier than expected (which was good). The closet installers arrived and were started working in the mud room.
It should be noted that CbD asks you to prep the space, so I had ripped out the old closet, including braces, shelves, sliding door, track, etc... The installers set up shop in the garage and started working, I estimate the complete job took about 3-4 hours. There are two main complaints based on my experience:
1. The CbD team was not very professional - specifically with speaking volume inside my house and swearing. As we were approximately the same age, I think they formed the opinion that I would be more tolerant with their language, but it was noticeable, even from the other room.
2. The closet was installed two inches too deep inside the cavity. It's unclear to me if this is due to a design error or an installation error, but it would have made the trimming (which CbD also does not do, with the exception of the floor trim) impossible.
I called my CbD designer the day after installation, after I had gotten a good look at it, and informed her about the depth issue. She visited to re-measure and indicated that it was probably her fault. She scheduled a second visit from the installers, who basically uninstalled and reinstalled the cabinet to be flush with the cavity. At the end of it all, the pantry looks great and is very functional. I would recommend closets by design, but there are a few caveats:
1. you have to do the demo.
2. they only trim the bottom, but custom cavity fit closets never fit precisely, so you will have to trim top and sides
3.
