Weather Vane Roofing

Marcus and Tristan installed new gutters and replaced missing facia for me. Both were very professional, friendly and did a great job! They are an asset to the company and represent the company in the best possible light. I would hire Weather Vane again for future work if/when needed.

Jeremy and Tristan wrapped my soffits and overhangs, wrapped the wood on my front porch and replaced eaves troughs and down spouts on my home. They were courteous and got the job done in a timely manner. I am very pleased with their work ethic and the job they completed. Alice Criner Owosso.

Dale and Jeremy finished our home's gutter project yesterday. They did a fantastic job! They worked all day in the freezing snowy weather. They were very professional; very prepared; very focused. I am extremely pleased and highly recommend both of them. They certainly deserve special recognition for their outstanding work!

Ryan Petty did our inspection. He showed up on time; did a thorough, professional job. He displayed a high amount of knowledge about roofing, structural deficiencies and assessment of remaining life of existing roof. Yet, he was very practical in his recommendations and at no time pressured us to buy unnecessary products or services. He provided us a written assessment of our roof and its overall condition at no cost to us (as we are selling our home in the near future).

We are very pleased with the work completed by Weather Vane Roofing. We contacted several companies and many were not interested as the job was small, unusual, and complex, requiring framing, roofing, gutters, and trim on a largely DIY project. Two companies came out but did not even submit a bid. Ryan promptly responded to our call and visited soon after. He completely understood the project and provided a timely bid. He professionally answered all questions. Josh, our crew leader, completed the job well ahead of the agreed upon deadline. His work was excellent. He patiently explained finishing options and his team was very professional. He is a detail oriented craftsman. We would definitely recommend Weather Vane Roofing.

I went to the home show to check out roofing companies. I met Ryan P. at the Weather Vane Roofing booth, I was impressed by his knowledge of Atlas shingles and Weather Vane Roofing company. I had Ryan come out to give me a free quote on my roof. In the meantime I researched SBS shingles and found that most independent researchers recommended Atlas Storm Master Shingles. Weather Vane Roofing was not the cheapest quote I got but, they were the best. You get what you pay for. The company is certified by Atlas to install their shingles, this is important for the warranty. The scheduling manager, Ryan B. did a good job keeping me updated about the installation date. Chris was in charge of the crew that worked on my roof, they were very professional. They went out of their was to protect my landscaping, even to the point of bringing in scaffolding so my bushes wouldn't get damaged. When they done, the workers did a good job cleaning up. The roof looks great! Ryan B. came out and we did a walk around, addressed a couple of minor cosmetic issues and he took care of it right away. I will recommend Weather Vane Roofing to anyone who needs a new roof. I told Ryan B. I will keep their lawn sigh on my lawn all summer.

The address here says Owosso, but the location I dealt with was Lansing. The same phone number on their facebook page is listed on the web page for Owosso. Their address was 2517 E. Mount Hope Suite 2 Lansing, Michigan 48910 (517) 318-0420 (This number is on the front of their web page for Owosso) The bid was $2000+ higher than other bids I got. Reading the fine print, that price was for the removal of only ONE LAYER of shingles. Additional layers would cost 42¢ a square foot to remove. The guy who bid it was up on the roof and saw TWO layers and was also told there were TWO layers, yet he bid the job for one layer. at 42¢ more per square foot, the final price of the job would have been at least $500 higher. He also bid it as a STEEP roof. The pitch of the roof, is 5/12 or 6/12 at most. That's not a STEEP roof. It's always a good idea to read the fine print. They did NOT get the job.

I Would not hire this company again. Gave them $7500 down in May they didnt start my roof until July .. I hired a WeatherVane roofing company and they sub contracted the job out. My 1st mistake was giving 1/2 down before job started. Very poor communication alot of start dates promises were delayed . The person that was to supervise roofers aka Chris Owosso did not return call's or give me updates. I work hard for my money and this is not a company I would hire again. One of the roofers quit. Until i contacted the Owner of the company did things start to turn around. Still took over two weeks to complete a 39 square roof. My wife was ****** they ruin her flowers also. Not good
