My wife and I were very impressed with Eric's team and technical knowledge. They showed up when promised and promptly followed up with e-mails, texts, and or phone calls. I believe they had a reasonable price point that was comparable to competitors. They were very customer focused. We picked them in part because of a very good first impression. We were very pleased with the overall process from the initial proposal to project closure. Our curbside apeal increased because of their technical skill, sage advice, and attention to detail. What really impressed me was their ability to adapt with unforseen issues/events, e.g., strict city inspector(s). Eric Austin and his team communicated clear and reasonable solutions in a logical, down to earth way. Not being a technical construction person, this meant a lot to my wife and I. The scope of our project changed unexpectedly, but we were extremly pleased with the outcome. I would never think twice about recommending Austin Brick Pavers. Thank you for service well done.

Austin Brick Pavers did a wonderful job of making our front walkway look beautiful. We had busted up cement blocks as our front walkway. The crew removed the blocks and installed brick pavers. When Eric came to give an estimate, he was very helpful with giving us ideas on the design of the front walkway. He estimated the job would only take 2 days and that was accurate. Overall, I would recommend Eric and his crew if anyone is looking to get brick pavers installed. They did a wonderful job and now we have curb appeal!

Eric was wonderful. Fast, professional, licensed, beautiful work, on time, cleaned up, fast, etc. I just don't know what more one could ask for. The patio looks absolutely beautiful. Can't wait until the spring to use it. Would love to show you pics but I don't know how to put them on this website.

My experience with Austin Brick Pavers has been a disaster. At the time that I had the brick paver walkway installed I had several quotes and my greatest regret has been that I selected them. The paver path was installed sometime ago but with recent intense rains it has proven to be a disastrous failure. The objective at the time of the installation - and I strongly emphasized this to them, was to slope the pavers sufficiently away from two basement window wells that I had so that the likelihood that any flow into the wells - and hence into my basement, would not occur. Since the time of the installation, there were many times when I came close to having water enter the wells and stream down my basement walls but with the recent intense rains we have had, the problem has become acute. This was a relatively simple job to start with and I paid approximately $1800 for it. To have this redone and done correctly will probably cost me another $700 or so, making this probably one of the most expensive brick paver jobs in the history of mankind. Now I have to go out and try to find somebody to do the job right, somebody that knows how to use a level. I recall that even when the job was done, getting them to cleanup sufficiently was like pulling teeth. A contact to them this week yielded no return call. I have used a number of contractors in the past for various jobs but this one is the worst.

We are so impressed with the hard work that both Al and Brandon put into this job. They showed up every day between 7:30 and 8 a.m. and left at 5. They even worked during the rain! They were not only personable but highly professional. They communicated with us at any given time and were highly competent and knowledgeable. The price that was charged was very in line for the service provided. We knew from the first few minutes of meeting with Eric, the owner, that he knew what he was talking about and was not trying to "oversell" us. We felt an instant rapport with him and knew right away that it was his company that we would choose. We made a wise choice. It looks absolutely beautiful.

My husband had to redo the work. He did not know how to lay tile. He would come in unprofessional, with no drop cloths and ask us for equipment. They were not prepared. The tile was uneven. He is a brick paver guy but also says he can do tiles but he can't.

When the owner came out to give us a quote, we weren't sure what we wanted, we just wanted it to look nice! That wasn't much direction, but he listened to us, looked around outside, took into consideration our house and setting and said he would send us a proposal in a couple of days. And he was good to his word; within just 2 days we received a detailed computer file of what he thought we would like. We did like it, and after taking some time to think it over, we hired him for the job. Once we chose the pavers, it was only a couple of days before work began. The crew consisted of a manager and one, sometimes two or more other helpers who were hardworking, considerate, clean (no trash left behind, always cleaned up the site before leaving for the day), quiet (no loud music playing while they worked), efficient and competent. We couldn't have hoped for a better process or outcome. We were extremely pleased with the result and would wholeheartedly recommend Austin Brick Pavers.

We are completely satisfied with the work that the "Austin" crew did for us. Professionalism and attitude was tops as well. It was a total pleasure working with them.

Eric (owner) is not only a great guy, but his is honest, forthright, professional, a graduate of Lawrence Tech Architure Dept, very helpful, fast to return phone calls. He has many years of experience, and his team professional, courteous, and very hard workers. I had complete conficence in Eric & his crew. His quote was within the price ballpark with other companies that quoted the job BUT his work/quality was top-notch. They installed a walkway and a 3-level porch. the design is spectacular. Visitors all comment on it. It added value to our house. It turned out better then we ever imagined! If you are a detail guy that demands quality & execution excellence, Austin Brick Pavers is the guy for you. I had complete conficence in Eric & his crew. The job will be done right & on-time. Highly, highly recommended.

Eric has ploughed our driveway for the past two winters. Even though this current winter has been extremely bad, breaking several records, Eric & his team have been totally reliable. They always get the job done, right first time, including shoveling the snow from outside the garage door by hand. I highly recommend Eric without hesitation.

Eric (the owner) is wonderful! Very professional and knows what he is doing with his many years of experience. His team were complete gentlemen and are very hard workers. Eris installed a rather large patio for us the summer prior. He did an outstanding job! He was called back that same winter to install a ceramic tile kitchen back-splash for us. It turned out better then we could have imagined! He was then rehired to add on to the existing patio he just installed for us (we wanted more room). It matched up beautifully! You cannot tell that we had an addition made a year after the original! We receive numerous compliments on the back-splash as well as our patio from all of our neighbors, family, and friends. I cannot express the true hard, honest, work of Eric and his crew! The price was right in our budget range and we have many happy neighbors that have continued to use Austin Brick Pavers.

The job went great. They got to my job right away after I accepted the estimate. The price was great. They do amazing work. Everything was cleaned up after the job was finished. Just an awesome company to work with all around. Very knowledgeable. Would hire in the future for any related work that I need done.

Eric responded within 24 hours to my phonemail requesting quote, came by and provided estimate. Offered examples from photo albums of prior jobs and made specific recommendation for our situation. Price was reasonable and work examples looked great. Because we have our home for sale, we needed the work done soon - he was able to fit us in between two other projects, as ours needed only one day to complete. Crew of three arrived to remove the old railroad ties, carry up the new materials, level, lay foundation, build steps, and then with additional bricks fit top step in with the existing walk. All went smoothly, professionally, and master brick paver did excellent work. See attached photos for "before and after". We are delighted!

We were given an estimate of $14,000.00 for the project. which was to include the removal of the old deck, installation of the raised patio and kitchen island, lighting. the project started on the date promised. The owner Eric Austin was professional and easy to work with along with his staff. The days prior and during the job he responded to questions promptly. Having not been sure of exactly what we wanted at the start of the job, we made some changes along the way. We changed some rows of brick from a rectangle cut to a full nose to add a little style, we changed color of some of the brick (but not the style) in some areas and approx. 5 ft. of part of a wall had to be taken out because we changed our mind on something. We were told that part would take one of his men 1/2 days work but it only took and hour or so to take out. We were told that the changes would cost "a little more" but never given an amount. We were asked to pay $6000.00 about half way through the project to cover costs which we didn't see as a problem. We decided to cover the top of the island with granite (versus another material - what we thought was part of the original estimate) so they didn't have to do that portion. the project took 2 weeks to complete due to some rain days. There were some gliches that needed to be addressed, i.e. lighting not working properly, refrigerator outlet not working but Eric took care of those items promptly. We were given a bill the day after completion and were shocked at the added cost. The project cost an additional $4000.00 over estimate. I would have thought that if the changes we made were going to be that much more we would have been informed. "a little more" is different than an additiional $4000.00. We paid without question but have felt bad about it ever since. After the counter top was installed on the outdoor kitchen by the granite company, Eric was to return to caulk under it. That took a few phone calls and a few weeks later to have that done. We called again to have a few areas addressed such as wide spaces on the steps where there should have been brick but where only sand was put in which washed away within a week. A week or so later that was address but no brick installed in those areas rather a coating was put over the sand to prevent it from washing out. We also asked that brick pavers be installed under the bay window so critters wouldn't burrow under and have not gotten a return call about that which was several weeks ago. In addition I asked if Eric knew anyone in the Livonia area who could work on my brick paver patio at a condo I owned. He said he would. I gave him the address and asked him to let me know when he would do it but never heard another word about that. Overall, its beautiful patio but we still have some concerns that were not addressed and feel like we had a fast one pulled on us over the price.

They are little bit cheaper. The service was personal and better.

I was thinking of redoing my wood deck with composite wood but the price was insane. It was much cheaper to do the pavers instead. I highly recommend this company and would use them again. The owner is very good to work with and has worked with pavers for many years and is very experienced.

They were professional and prompt. He did what he said he was going to do. He really likes to make sure that you are happy with the work. His price was fair. We plan to use him for another project.

He added pavers for our new driveway. We will be using him soon to install ceramic tile.
