ADT Security Services

Because I was uncomfortable with how they handled the initial telephone inquiry, I called the next day and canceled the appointment. I wasn't ready to sign up for another monthly service fee for security services. I chose another route of getting my own security - I took shooting lessons, bought a gun and gun safe, put in a driveway alarm, and purchased security cameras that go straight to the cloud for monitoring from anywhere.

BEWARE! Unethical company. We are currently locked in a contract and have been paying $40 a month. Our system has not been functioning for the last four months! We called and tried to end our service, to which they said we would have to pay out the remaining YEAR of service. We have had two break-ins, both within a week of when we had reported our service not working to ADT. I can't prove anything, but seems an awful lot like scare tactics to keep us locked into a contract. Today I had an appointment for between 8 am and 12 pm for them to repair the system. At 11:15 they call to tell me that they don't have a technician today, so they would like to reschedule for four days from now. They couldn't have told me that at 8:00? Before I wasted half of my day at home? And I'm supposed to go another week with a non-functioning system that I am paying for? Truly terrible customer service and a total waste of money.

ADT Security Systems provides the WORST customer service of any company I have ever worked with in my 62 years of living!!!

Craig was outstanding! He is a true professional and spent two entire days with us. He went over all our options and did not try to "upsell" anything to us. He was so helpful and did an amazing job putting everything in. He then showed us how to use everything and he also gave us advice on how to further protect our home and ourselves with simple suggestions that did not involve buying anything at all. He was very trustworthy and competent and we would use him (and ADT) again in a minute and recommend them to anyone.

I've used them for 20 years. I like it but I think it is pricey. It is a little over $1 a day to have it monitored. I don't think I would want to be without it. They are very prompt and they are on the phone within 30 seconds to find out what is going on. They call first before they notify the police. Their response time is excellent. I do have a little bit of difficulty getting hold of them and having a body show up.

We have had them for years. We really didn’t have any preference and we just chose ADT. I like the fact that I have never had to use them. I feel safe with them; they seem to be a good company.
