Soltman installed my old furnace and air in 1984 and after 39 years (I know what's the hurry the furnace worked but the air finally gave it up) the SAME company installed a new high-efficiency furnace and air. Soltman is a local family-owned business that gave me the best price and professional HVAC service. Buy local.

John Cissel, the owner, is awful. I have used them for over 30 years, but I would never use them again. They installed new Unico A/C in 2018. Recently the system stopped working. They charged me $250 to confirm that the problem was a defective evaporator coil that was covered under warranty by Unico. The labor costs to replace the part, $1900, was not covered under the warranty. Unico, reached out to Cissel, who expressed no interested in providing me with satisfaction. Awful and unprofessional. I would strongly recommend NOT using them.

Our furnace quit working on the coldest day this year to date. We called Soltman and they were able to squeeze us in that day. The technician, Brian, called on his way and showed up when expected. The work was very fast and professional. I would recommend their services.

It went good. I never had a problem since then.

They've done good work for as long as we've used them. We will continue to use them and recommend them to others.

They came to inspect the furnace. The furnace is very old, but at my age I don't plan to get a new furnace unless I have to. Just a furnace cleaning and check it and make sure it's operating for winter. I had been using him since I had the house in the 1960's. That's the reason I use him, because we always use him. He put the furnace in actually that I have, and took the oil tank out. That was a long time ago.

This was an excellent experience. The installation technicians were on time, clean and very professional. They did a very good job of explaining the procedures every step of the way. The job was completed in less than a day and they cleaned up after themselves. I couldn't be more pleased.

Service provided was overall excellent. The technician called and said he would be here within 5-10 minutes. He was professional, thorough, and explained what he was going to do. Our capacitor had bubbled from the high heat and humidity and he said he could replace it for $110. He finished up pretty quick, and even gave me the old capacitor to show me how it had bubbled and was no longer usable. I would definitely recommend them to others!

Sent well. Not sure of exact date of service, so just guessed. Still waiting on furnace replacement quote, though. Because of flooding, most companies are backed up.

I called for service because we have an old baseboard heating system. I was nervous we would have to replace the entire thing being as it was so old. When the service tech came out I was relieved he was knowledgeable and didn't try to sell me a whole new system. He looked at, told me that it could be repaired and it would be a problem. He was quick, clean and it works great! I would highly recommend this company!

Great. The guy who came out was running behind, but the office called to let me know he was stuck at another job and I appreciated the heads up. He quickly found the problem, grabbed the part from his truck, installed it and was in and out in about a half an hour. Very professional. I would use this company again.

They're an excellent service provider. They're prompt. They do what needs to be done. They arrive on time, generally at the beginning of the time they say they're going to arrive. They do the job. They're neat and tidy. They answer any questions I might have. I'm not down there with them because I trust them. I think what he charged is fair and I can only compare it to the other advertisements that I've seen in the area.

The work was completed in roughly an hour. The technician was very nice and professional and arrived promptly.

When I called Soltman, a live person answered the phone (which is really important to me), and they were able to quickly come to my home to provide an estimate. In fact, the service person was able to come to my home a day earlier than originally scheduled. The service person was on time and had an appropriate appearance. He arrived in a Soltman van which made me more comfortable believing he was who he claimed to be. With respect to whole house air conditioning, the service person seemed fairly knowledgeable about the various systems available and how we could best cool the home to our liking. His communication of the suggested ways to cool our home was very cursory though, and I had to ask several specific questions to clarify what he meant. It was a bit of a chore to communicate with him at times and understand fully what he meant. At one point, I asked him to explain the difference between two concepts and when I asked him more specific questions about those concepts, he directed me to the internet and suggested that reading an explanation there and listening to his explanation may help me to better understand. I did not appreciate that. If he is supposed to be the expert and I am looking to have Soltman perform services, then I think he should have been able to better explain the concepts without giving me homework. There were other things the service person said that I unfortunately cannot recall which made me feel as though he was talking down to me or was a bit hurried. With respect to the humidifier, he really did not address my issue. I want the home to be more moist in the dry winter, and he simply stated that I may want it more humid than the house can really handle without producing mold. He did not read the moisture level or make any other efforts to determine whether his thought was, in fact, true for my home. He simply stated that if we had the furnace cleaned, the technician could look more closely at the humidifier at that time. It was my understanding that the purpose of his visit was to determine whether we needed to swap out our current humidifier, not kick that down the road. Finally, the service person did not leave an estimate or a summary of suggestions or costs. I found that to be a bit unusual. I do not think I have ever had a service person provide me with suggestions or estimates and not leave any writing. Overall, I was not very impressed with Soltman, and their quality and professionalism ratings reflect that. I would likely not use them in the future because they do not really seem to be climate experts, and while not overtly rude or condescending, I did not care much for how the service person communicated with me.

They were fantastic. They solved the problem. They came out whenever we have question or something wasn’t working and they were like very responsive and been charge for the follow up calls. They were straight.

Received estimate. Agreed to estimate. Work started when scheduled, finished promptly, happy with result.

Well, my air conditioner decided to putter out on the hottest day of the year - a 97 degree day in late June. I came home late at night and found that my house temperature was a humid 83 degrees...and rising. I called four different a/c repair companies, left messages, and hoped for return calls then next morning. I received a call from a different company at about 8AM. They offered to come out sometime during a four-hour window of time. Soltman called about five minutes later, and said that they could come out during sometime during a two-hour window of time. To me, this made all the difference in the world. I can understand that an a/c repair company can't pinpoint exactly when they'll arrive at your house, especially on a busy 95 degree day. But a four-hour window is just unacceptable. I don't have the time to sit around and wait for that long. I told Soltman that I'd see them later in the day. The other two repair companies never called back. A little past the middle of the two-hour window, Soltman called me and told me that their repairman would arrive within 15 minutes. He arrived in 10 minutes. He was friendly and he got right to work. Within five minutes, he figured out what was wrong, and before installing it he gave me a breakdown of the cost, which was reasonable. The part I needed was in his van, and he finished the repair within about 15 minutes. He offered to run a free diagnostic test on mu a/c unit, and did so during the next five minutes. As far as price, the service call was $89 and the capacitor was $110, for a total of about $200. I would definitely use Soltman's services again.

They were very responsive during the quoting process and they were willing to order a water heater model that they did not stock, unlike some other plumbers that I had spoke to. Their pricing was average, but I knew that they were a solid company. Once I decided to do business with them, they were able to meet my scheduling requirements and thes arrived promptly (not a 4 hour window!). The plumbers that came onsite were professional & the work was completed without any issues. No surprises in the final billing either.

Excellent through and through. I was given detailed explanations of what they were proposing, I was also given multiple options at every juncture. They came in on time, helped me take out my old water heater, which I was installing myself, pointed out to me which parts I might want to keep for the new water heater. Also made a few calls for me to answer questions I had about venting a plumbing stack which had nothing to do with the work I hired them for. They went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with the work being done and offered to close things up or leave them open as I chose. New furnace went in without a hitch and has operated brilliantly for two years. Biggest reason I chose them beside price, they were the lowest, was he was the only guy who came out and started by looking at my duct work. The other guys just went right to the furnace and said yup we'll swap that out for a few grand. He went to my vent work and showed me why no matter what he installed, the house wasn't going to heat properly without some alterations. Very creative uses of an old close chute and old brick chase to solve the venting issues. House heats evenly!

Their service was okay. They were professional. They are okay for small jobs, but they are more like handymen than air conditioning experts. The price was good and they came on time to get the work done. They call themselves heating and air conditioning people, but I am not very sure how much experience they have. I might call them again, but not very likely.
