Description of Work: The technician was unable to detect any water coming thru my basement walls. I was not convinced that his infrared device was able to detect water in walls. It was of no help.

 + 0 moreDuring a home inspection (not performed by Alan), multiple concerns over water issues were identified. To ensure there were no significant issues, we wanted to have infrared testing done to look 'behind the walls' to see if anything was happening. After trying to find someone, I stumbled upon Alan's website and we discussed his completing this type of inspection. He clearly understood what we were looking for and quoted us a rate of $100.00 an hour for this type of service. As we were expecting rain the next day, Alan understood the time bind we were in and he was able to accomodate our need to complete the service. Alan did a full review of the home and explained what he was seeing, and had no issues in me (literally) standing behind hime to look over his shoulder to see what he was seeing on the machine. Alan found no issues (thankfully) and issued us a full report with pictures (standard and infrared pictures) in 2 days after work was completed. Frankly - the confirmation that we did not find any active water issues was a relief to us and helped us move forward with the purchase. I consider the spend of $100 on this to be an excellent value due to the confidence it allowed us to have about our major purchase.
