I called in the evening, and quickly got a call back. The gentleman was friendly, helpful and willing to try to accommodate my work schedule. The next morning the technician was prompt and seemed knowledgeable. He identified the problem and took care of it. He could have tried to sell me something I didn't really need but did not. He seemed very honest and his explanation of what was needed was clear. He was polite and professional. I am on a tight budget. The cost was not cheap, but I don't think I was taken advantage of. He could have told me I needed a new opener when I didn't. I believe this company is honest and reliable. I would use them again.

Before this situation I was very pleased with the work A-1 Door had done previously, but it appears when it comes to warranty work they were a lot less helpful and in one case extremely rude. About two weeks after my door was repaired by A-1, it began to malfunction again. When I called to have someone come back out (the work was still under warranty) they offered to "walk me through" a repair instead of coming out as there warranty stated. I requested they come out and on the day of my appointment my tech was a no show at my scheduled time. I called the office and got Lee. He told me the tech was behind and someone else would be over to service my garage. No one called to inform me of this change. I requested a time, to which Lee said he could not give me and offered to schedule me another day (keep in mind I had already taken time off of work and was not willing to take more time off for a different day). I told Lee I cannot take off another day and again requested a time when the tech would arrive. To this request Lee replied "the world can't stop for you." I was extremely shocked at his rude response. No only am I a paying customer, but I am also a costumer who had a scheduled appointment that was not kept and was not informed this schedule was not going to be kept. Lee then told me someone will be there this afternoon. Around 3 pm, when no one showed up, I called again and was told my appointment can spill over until the evening hours. At this time I wasted my entire day waiting for a tech that didn't show up until a little after 4. I missed a day of work and was treated very rudely by Lee. I would not suggest this company to anyone. They are quick to come for a first time customer, not offering any suggestions on how to fix the problem on your own, but when it came to my warranty work they had plenty of suggestions and tried really hard not to come out and were extremely rude.

It went swimmingly well. I called A-1 at 9:00 this morning and was told someone would be here between 11 and 3. Matt, a cheerful and professional technician, called at 11:10 and was here ten minutes later. He quickly diagnosed the problem, gave us the price, and had the door perfectly repaired in an astonishingly short time. All in all, a very positive experience resulting in a very happy customer who would happily call A-1 again. This was our 4th time using their services, and we've always been happy with their work.

They were horrible. I felt like I was taken for a ride. As it turned out, there was this little sprocket thing that had broken in one of my openers and they charged me some incredibly ridiculous amount of money. When I looked on the internet to see how much the part cost, it was a minuscule amount, say $10 and they wanted to charge me $200 or something. So, I ended up getting into a big old fight with them and I refused to pay that amount. So I ended up paying something, but not that amount. It was ridiculous. The two guys that they sent out were just crooks. It was labor and all of that, but they were at my house less than an hour to fix it. There is no way it could have been that much. I put a stop pay on the check. I realized, after they left, that they hadn't applied the coupon properly. So they may have gone back later and applied the coupon or whatever it was that I bought. The whole thing was just kind of messed up. I was so shocked at the price and at the time, I wrote the check and then I realized, "Wait a minute, what happened to the coupon?" I just had a lot going on and I was very irritated with them and I stopped payment on the check. I believe, they end up taking the big deal thing in the end and that was it and I'm just like, "I'll never use them again." Overall, I just felt like they completely lack integrity and they just tried to take advantage of me. I felt swindled.

A-1 was great, even when I decided to change the style of garage door at the last minute and had to call them after I had placed the initial order. They were responsive, timely, and professional. Even though I had received less expensive quotes from other places, I decided to pay a few hundred dollars extra for the lifetime warranty on parts and labor by going with the Amarr Heritage line of products.

It went great! As a new homeowner, I would have never thought this was the first major issue that I had with my house. The technician was very professional, and showed me exactly what was going on with my garage door opener (it died). Although I was initially upset when the technician told me that my garage door opener died (was told that it ran for over 20 years), he offered to replace it with their new system with one that their company currently had in stock, but would have cost over 800 dollars if I would have went that route. He instead told me to go to Lowe's, buy my own garage door opener, and pay for the install. Outside of the cost of the Garage Door Opener, it cost me a grand total of 395 dollars to install the garage door opener, as well as replacing a new spring that went over the garage door.

Nathan showed up at 345 PM for a 3 - 4 PM appt. There was no call 30 min prior to the appt as promised by the job scheduler. Was more expensive than I expected for a 30 min job. No other issues

Repairman was very professional. Arrived on time and explained the repairs and cost in detail. Quality work done on the repair and it was completed quickly.

Work was great and professional from the initial call to the service. I thought I was in for a new opener and was braced for that cost, Dennis was able to repair only what was needed and said we were good for a while longer with our current opener. How great is that! When we are in need of a new opener, I will certainly be calling A-1 Door again! David was clear that they might not be the cheapest service out there, but I am a HUGE supporter of the statement: "You get what you pay for" and honestly, these guys know what they are doing and can do a great job quickly at a decent price. Technician was very professional but a bit expensive. The part that was replaced is sold by the manufacturer for $14.00 and the technician sold it to me for $90.00. Work was done well, hope I do not encounter any issues in the near future.

I called A-1 on a Monday night after the spring on my old garage door broke. They came out the next day (earlier in the day than scheduled), evaluated my existing door, and indicated that it was something that they could not service easily. I asked them for an estimate to replace the door and they provided one on the spot for several options and told me to give the office a call when I was ready to order. They did not charge me for the initial call. I called the office that night and setup a time to install my new door. The person I spoke with on the phone walked me through a few options and quoted me a cost for the new door and installation. He said he would call me the next morning to schedule and he did and was able to have the door installed the day after that. The installers arrived first thing in the morning and completed the job in roughly three hours. The price that I was quoted was the price that I paid.

Matt removed the old garage door opener with a new Liftmaster opener, (same brand as before). He performed the change out in a professional and efficient manner, got us the correct remotes, and took time to program everything and explain the new system to us. In addition, he adjusted the garage door spring tension so that the entire system would function correctly. Matt know his business and did a great job. We definitely recommend these folks!

Initial visit went great. We will be contacting the company again to make some more improvements on the door. This service should run $450 for two new springs and new insulation along the door sides.

When they checked my garage, my unit could not get repaired. The allowed my to make a deposit on labor and I purchased a unit of my choosing. They were prompt and installed the unit quickly.

I cancelled the service call and got my money back.

The tech arrived within an acceptable time range and gave a courtesy call to let know how long it would take him to get to us so we knew well about when to expect him, really much appreciated. The service went out pretty quick and well done, got hit with a minimum service fee which was more on the steep side in my opinion. Since we really needed the garage door fixed in the middle of winter we were already mentally prepared to let go the money. A quick but thorough assessment of the whole system was done with some additional explanation about the pros and cons about our system and what to look for in the future. Since the service was well and professionally done I did not feel that bad at the end about the price, I felt we were taken care well and most probably will use them again in the future if needed. Got a nice coupon at the end of the service for a future service.

They did a flawless job. They showed up exactly on time. Finished about an hour less than what they estimated and did a very good job. They're very polite.

When I set up the appointment, Doug who took my call, said Dennis, the technician would call me prior to arrival to confirm-he did. Dennis explained the situation, apologized for not having the part but said he had another appointment near the location where he needed to pick up the part and would be back in a few hours; he arrived back in a few hours. Made the repairs, cleaned up the area, explained repair v. replace to us and was one of the most customer oriented technicians I've encountered. A definite use again company!!!! The came really quick and told me what was wrong with the garage door. Fast service.

Called and they were out in less than an hour. Finished in less than an hour. If the work lasts it will be well worth the cost. John was very professional as was his assistant. Would recommend this group to repair your garage door quickly. Charges 3% if a credit card is used; accepts checks.

I have to commend Dennis L and everyone at A-1 Doors Inc. My garage door would only close, not open. I called A-1 after checking Angie's List for someone local. The person on the phone was very helpful, and worked the service call around my schedule. The technician, Dennis, was not only on time, but called to ask if earlier was ok, since he was running ahead of schedule. It took him 5-10 minutes to find the problem, something I would have NEVER guessed. Interference from the newly installed wireless electric meters, operating on the same frequency. He priced out a new opener & scheduled the install for the next day, and once again, arrived a few minutes early. Installation took no time at all, including rebalancing the door & adjusting the springs and rails. A quick 5 minute lesson on the new opener & it's latest features and he was finished. He was fast, professional & very knowledgeable. I would absolutely recommend A-1 Doors Inc to anyone & will use them in the future if the need arises.
