My garage door was intermittently not working. Of course the day Paul came to see it, it was working. He was quickly able to determine what was the problem. Luckily it was just my lack of upkeep on regular maintenance that was at fault and not the opener itself, so after a few adjustments and what I assume was copious amounts of oil, it was back to new. Paul was wonderful, quick, friendly and spent time to educate me on how to oil the equipment correctly so I’d be able to extend the life of my garage door and opener.

I called to make an appointment at 11:30am. I spoke with A-1, explained the issue we were having, and asked to make an appointment. They had 2 service people at our home by 12:05pm. We had feared our unit needed to be replaced. It turned out to be a worn internal part that needed to be replaced. They were informative about options and pricing and got to work straight away. They were done and on their way by 12:40pm, and our garage door opener system is working better than it ever has. They also gave us some pointers on a couple of other items to keep an eye on for future wear, but emphasized that none of it was in need of repair or replacement now. Very courteous and speedy, I am completely pleased.

Literally, my wife contacted them this morning. David the CEO gave me the 800 number to call another company to see if they can troubleshoot it before he actually came out himself. I did try doing that it didn't quite work. Called him back and said, hey I'd love to get something scheduled, and my wife did not even start this process until about 9 o'clock this morning and we're now before 12:30 est time. The gentleman is already out. Long Story short, I said no, let's go replace it, let's schedule something hopefully by the end of the week because believe it or not pretty spoiled on using the garage door opener. So, they had somebody today by 12 o'clock today and they're here. It's pretty incredible. It's a garage replacement including two remote controls, a keypad and then actually one of those systems that get hooked up to our wifi and from what I saw that's a phenomenal price, installed obviously. David was professional, the young that's here professional. He confirmed it before they started the work of what they were going to do and the price. It was interesting because he quoted me one price and then he sent me an email and said you know what, and he had made it even lower and this young man even knew he had cut it down. That was probably within half hour of him having done that.

The company was prompt, they did a great job and offered us suggestions for the future. Would definitely recommend them.

Perfect. I had two other 'professional' garage door installation companies provide quotes for the installation of the garage door opener: One company refused to perform the work over the phone and the other visited my house and recommended an entire rebuild of the garage joists to account for the garage door opener. Feeling defeated, I elected to try A-1 Door Repair Systems for a third opinion. They agreed that the older style garage had a low ceiling, but Chuck & Jim worked their magic. The garage door opener was installed, the garage did not have to be radically changed, and has worked for over 6 months without a hiccup. I will definitely contact this company again.

From start to finish it was a positive, friendly, professional experience. I had a service rep (Bill) out on Monday with a quote which I believed was fair. He was friendly, courteous, very knowledgeable about the products and installation process and, quite importantly, on time for the scheduled appointment. On Wednesday I called to place the order and schedule the work. As they had all the parts in stock they came out the very next day and installed the new door and new door opener. To me this was serendipity as another company quoted me a steeper price and couldn't do the work for about 4-6 weeks and expected half of the quote as a down payment. Dennis, the install technician, was on time, friendly, courteous, and professional. He installed the door and opener in less than 4 hours and did an excellent job. He walked me through the features on the new opener so I was confident with its functions. He was also very helpful in that there was some "stuff" which needed to be put back into the garage and he offered then put it all back in place for me...THANK YOU DENNIS. I would recommend this company to anyone needing garage work done.

A-1 gave a ballpark estimate over the phone and scheduled a service check quickly. The installer arrived and time and did his inspection quickly. He reviewed repair and replacement options with me carefully, and was easy to understand and not pushy. After agreeing to the work, he had all of the equipment in his truck and started right away. Finished in a couple hours and everything worked great. Ended up with a LiftMaster belt opener and am very happy so far.

Dennis Leach arrived promptly as scheduled to install my new garage door. He was methodical and detailed with the installation process. His skill level was far above expectation. The Amarr door quality is top grade. Communications with the three company representatives I dealt was clear and informative. Pricing for the total package was fair and competitive. A-1 Garage Door is a five star company that I would give highest recommendation to anyone needing a new garage door.
