Good experience with this vendor.

I rejected the offer because unwillingness to count the paid service call towards the job. I consider $225 for a 45 minute job to replace a cable as trying to take advantage. When appointment was made I offered to send fotos so job could be estimated w/o coming out. I was told the technician would call me before he comes and I could send photos directly to him. No one called prior to the arrival at my home. This service call just doesn't make any sense. Most companies provide estimates free of charge and apply cost for service calls towards a repair job.

Woke up to find one spring broken on garage door. Looked up Garage Door Repair on Angie's List and found a coupon in Angie's List Monthly for free service call with A1 Door Systems. They also offered a Senior Discount. They were able to give us an appointment within two hours of our call. The installer arrived on time, replaced both springs, and checked out the entire system. Bill was knowledgeable and explained everything to us very clearly. We received the free service call and Senior Discount. We are extremely pleased with A1's prompt, courteous, and professional service and would definitely use them again.

All went well. I got exactly what I ordered plus. The key pad was not on the original order but the driver had one in his truck so he threw it in for us. He did a great job.

I purchased deal for 29.95 and was contacted within a few hours to schedule appointment. Paul called about 10 minutes before agreed upon time to say he was on his way. Met him and explained problems with basically nonfunctioning opener and leaky door at bottom. He was able to estimate age of door and opener, made by Stanley which no longer makes them. Door was not level and he pointed out it would need replacing within a few years. He provided options to me and accepted my decisions without refuting them. He also put handle on door to make closing it tightly to ground somewhat easier. He explained what needed to be done to items in garage prior to installation and assured me delaying installation by 1 1/2 weeks would not be a problem for them. He was professional and polite throughout. I hope the installation will go as smoothly as today's appointment went.

Door opener stopped working and the key operated pull string did not work either. The Technician Dennis came out promptly, got the door open, showed my husband that the springs had rusted and broken. He managed to get new springs the same day and in less than a couple of hours had them installed, and everything adjusted and working great!

It went well. The service call was a low price, however, we ended up replacing both springs and the installer indicated that we should use the garage door as little as possible since they will only last so long.

We liked them. They came out the same day we purchased the Big Deal. The cost was $200. It was a whole lot more than the $29 Big Deal because the door was broken, but he fixed it and gave us an extra opener for the garage door. He is a little grubby, but I do not care; he fixed the door.

they were prompt, courteous, walked me through the process, did a complete inspection of the garage door and opener.

My complaint is that I paid $29 for the service call, which should have been deducted from the $125 repair cost but I did't catch it until after the repairman left. They were on time, friendly and quick. Will use them again, will pay more attention in the future.

Made an appoitnment mid day on a Sunday, nice! :) First appointment, recieved a phone call stating was on the way will take 20 minutes. Inspection one to ensure that all issues and concerns were addressed. they checked the sensors and listened to why Genie sent replacements parts. Checked to ensure everything was still in alignment. Installation went very smoothly and very quickly. Dennis was very polite, attentive and listens very well to cutomer information and concerns. There was a coupler that was worn, Dennis showed it to us and advised that we should contact Genie to request replacment. He also explained hw the coupler wore down so that I could explain to Genie custoemr service. Part obtaine, back out within 1.5 weeks and no additional charge to install the new coupler and the two new remotes that were sent by Genies.

The tech was prompt, very knowledgeable and professional. The original problem was solved soon after his arrival. However, he spotted a potential serious problem that if not corrected, would most certainly have resulted in possibly have to replace the actual door itself. I am very glad I called A 1 and would definitely recommend them to all.

A1 was extremely professional, prompt & courteous. My garage door was inspected and fixed within 30 minutes. He had all necessary parts in his truck for immediate service. I really thought we would need a new door but we were able to have it repaired and we haven't had any problems since. He also took the time to show me what to do in the future should our garage door not close again.

Called the day before, they came out the next morning (on a weekend) and got done in less than an hour. On time and very quick! Thank you to Paul for explaining it all and getting it back and working quick. Absolutely a positive experience.

It went perfect. All was running smoothly and they educated me on how the garage opener operates, and provided me with their information in case I needed them in the future. Brad the technician that came out was great.

Moved into a new house but previous owners took openers. A-1 Doors provided new remotes and made maintenance improvements to an older garage door. Did great work and price was reasonable. Service person was friendly and professional. Plan to use again.

Bought a special from Angie's List, and A-1 called me almost immediately to schedule the appointment. I was offered a spot that afternoon, if the tech who happened to be in my area finished his current job in time. That fell through, but I was called to schedule the next morning (today). This morning, I got a call to let me know the tech was on his way, and 15 min later he was here. I definitely appreciate them working to get me serviced as soon as possible, as well as keeping me informed along the way. Once here, the tech inspected both of our doors. He noticed that both doors needed spring winding, and that the second door would eventually have the same problem as the first due to slack in the cables. He got both springs rewound, both doors working, cleaned up the area around them, and made sure I could open & close both before finishing up. He gave me a few tips about maintenance items I can take care of myself and then he was on his way.

I would HIGHLY recommend A-1 Door! They followed through on every detail. Paul D was our installer and he did an exceptional job. He called as promised 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment time. When he arrived he had all his tools and products organized and ready to go. From start to finish, the job took 3 hours. There was a lot of detail work done, which Paul did a GREAT job on. KUDOS to A-1 DOOR, Lee P & Paul D. We love the Sandstone color which was recommended to us and one of the neat things they did, they were able to show us our garage door with that color on it in a picture. That really helped us visualize when choosing the color, verses the little metal chips they give you. My husband loves his new garage door, this might even motivate him to clean the garage LOL ~ Thanks A-1 Door :-)

More work was needed that I initially thought. The service person was excellent and did a great job. I would definitley use them again in the future!

It turned out very nicely. They were here slightly early for the appointment and I felt he did an excellent job.

He was supposed to come out Friday but was delayed at another call much longer than he expected. He was willing to come later than our window but I had plans and couldn't wait so he came out Saturday (his day off!) while I was away and did the inspection and performed the maintenance. He then waited for me to get home from my appointment to show me what he did and educate me on the workings of my door. He could not have made the experience more convenient or easy for me. My door works wonderfully now and even better than it did before I started having issues. A++
